But what about those F2P/Preferred players who actually played the game and has opinions about the game, but can't post anything here because of that stupid rule? Let's face it, if they want to combat trolls/bots, they should hire more competent mods, not restrict access to all players.

What are we supposed to do? What solutions are there that we can do? A lot of us here have already suggested plenty of workarounds and suggestions, and most of us have already cancelled our subs to show our disinterest. People are complaining on the forums about the recent patch, and BS responded to them. No response to us APAC players yet whatsoever.

To APAC players: Broadsword coming out with a statement for the recent patch's outrage, and yet no mention of the Shae Vizla server. This should tell you a lot on their stance for this server and the APAC players. Do with that info with what you will.

Except that's not a great analogy, at all. APAC players needed this server for the ping for a long time, so they should have a bigger say in this. EU/US players have multiple servers! Other players can contribute their opinions too, but APAC's should come first. It doesn't feel like this server is catering for the APAC regional players...

I have nothing else to say regarding this topic (because I'm just tired with this situation), but Trixxie said it the best here, and am just bumping this.

A lot of non-APAC players don't understand why we're complaining about the transfer restrictions, because APAC players has had enough with forcing to move their toons from one server to the next, or not able to transfer our hard earned cheevos and high level toons from a high ping environment. Stop looking at the Shae Vizla server as a fresh start server, and you'll see why we are pissed. If you still don't understand, imagine this scenario: SWTOR has 5 servers around the world: 2 in EU, 1 in NA and 2 in APAC, and you're a player based in NA. You played the game for a few months in the NA server, and suddenly the devs announce to close it. All your stuff are forced to moved (with no restrictions) to the EU server with high ping. You continue to play this game, though under suboptimal condition, because you like it - building your legacy, toons, credits, cheevos, datacrons etc. Few years later, devs said they will merge both the EU server. Again, you're forced to move (still with no restrictions). A decade later, devs open back a server in NA. Good news right? You can finally move everything back to your "home". There won't be ping issues anymore, but not so fast, the devs said this is a fresh start server, and they are taking that into account for that server. And so, the server is shared with another group of players that has a totally different objective than yours, and they don't want you to bring your earned credits. You also found out the devs implemented many restrictions to bring your stuff to the new NA server, contrary to what happened in the previous 2 transfers. That is the whole story. That is exactly why APAC players are not happy with the current situation.

Yea, only subs can post on these forums. Stupid rule. F2P and Preferred players don't even get a say in this topic. Why does there need to be a middle ground in the first place? It's so obvious Star Forge has the most players and a "fresh start" server in the US would bring in the most money, so why in the heck did BS use a new APAC server for "fresh start"? It just doesn't make any damn sense.

Agreed. The Shae Vizla server SHOULD be a regional server, not a fresh start server. If BS wants a fresh start server, make one. Don't use the server APAC deserved for so long for it!

It's hilarious how disconnected the Broadsword higher-ups and the APAC player base are. They want APAC players to play in the SV server, but introduce all these limitations and restrictions for APAC players to transfer their characters.

Guess the character transfer T&C is final. How disappointing...

Heck, just do 4 free transfers for APAC players. They deserved that much.

Most people are actually agreeing on the T&C for character transfer on the SWTOR subreddit, and I reckon those are the "fresh start server" players.
