I am sorry, I am so frustrated! I started another toon since my Sentinel is pretty much garbage. Same problem, once I start getting hit by the lightning its over. And the removing level 50s doesnt help with all the rebs are under 20 and all the sorcs are in the 40s. I actually do ok and am enjoying myself until the cookers open up. Please figure out a better way to balance this, I am sure I am not the only one who is sick of trying it but gets their arse handed to them over and over by lightning. This new toon even has a whoping 6% elemental resistance.... LOL

Your extremelly lucky. Ive sent my companion with +1 critical on about 40 missions and only gotten 2. Sadly each level 49 item I want to make so far costs 4. RNG in this game is quite frustrating.

Thought it was just me, but I see it isnt. Since yesterday his healing sure seems to be very slow.

If we are talking about the same part of the story, I also found part of this to be extremely thin

I do not wish to start arguments, and I totally agree Mace is super cool, but Bioware writers have compared our characters to the Justice League, so I take that as we ARE supposed to be more powerful, more awesome. Maybe they see Mace the same way.... And I just have to bring up again that so many MOBs have purple effect weapons in this game, be it laser or lightsaber, its really a slap in the face to those of us who love purple. Delekahn

Been questing on Belsavis and a certain group of mobs shoots us with puple lasers. I've killed hundreds of the things, I should be able to loot one. Just saying....

Georg, A couple other things I wanted to note after another agonizing PVP run against Inquizzy's as a Sentinel: 1. I have no way to stop their knockback. So, as soon as I get close, I am pushed back and they can move away and keep the lightning going. I have no way to bring them in. (maybe the patch will fix that?) 2. I cannot stun them. Best I have been able to do is immobilze them with my throw. If I cant stun them, I cant use some of my harder hitting abilities that require it. They can stun me however, and they do so often. In fact most of my high damage abilites seem to not work on elites or players, but thier's sure seem to work fine on me. 3. Thier shield seems to come back really fast and seems to stop 100% of my damage. My shield does 50% and 25% based off dmg type, last 12 seconds, and has a 3 minute timer. 4. I dont have any resistance to the electric damage or holds, my hold break is on a 2 minute timer and does not reset when I die, which will be as soon as I use it as they hold me again within seconds it seems. It just does not seem balanced at all. Since I'm on the subject, I ask for a change to Dispatch. I recomend taking away the focus cost as it seems I never have the focus for it and why should I have yet another ability with a requirement (<=20% health). I find I usually have no focus and by the time they are under 20% I kill most mobs with a Strike or two to build the focus. A cool change would make it hit all enemies surrounding me and have a longer timer... like a cool throw. Maybe I am not using some of my skills correctly and I am sure people will point this out. I also dont have experience playing a Inquiz so I dont know thier skills, but seriously, I should not get pasted within seconds of a fight with them. Thanks, Delekahn

This is exactly why I actually quit a Voidstar the other day. I was so enraged over constant lightning kills that I had to walk away for a bit. I feel the same way, I was really enjoying running the game with my girl Kira, but after a while, I just could not survive without Doc. Frustrating....

Been reading the many pages and just based off the OP I have to say I'm a little relieved. Ive been frustrated for a while now on my Sentinel that I die so easily against 1 or 2 elites several levels below me, or a few strong's my level. I thought I was just a poor player but maybe I am not as bad as all that...

I personally have had a lot of issues with solo content when the mobs are several levels lower then me. I had believed that I was upgrading my own gear and my companion pretty well. I was disappointed I had to start running with Doc as Kira couldn't cover it anymore. In fact on Doc, I had the highest level I could use power enhancements (among other power gear) and he just doesn't heal enough, maybe I need to try crit or alacrity... After reading these posts maybe that is my main issue, maybe the companions are not as well geared as I thought. I just got Lord Scourge the other day and went to Belsalvis. He was dieing pretty easily. I had though tthe gear he came with was sufficient since I just got him, but maybe no? On my play days this week I will look at these possible holes. On a side note, even though my toon is light side, I dont understand why I cant upgrade Scourge's red lightsaber crystal. Delakahn

I guess I did not adequately get my point across. I feel certain parts are OP. I do enjoy a challenge, just not crazy *** challenges and running into a lightning meat cooker is not a fun way to get cool pvp gear. Yes, I need to improve my skills, but lightning attacks that root me continually and do massive damage is BS and you can't convince me otherwise. I've asked in another thread for help with elemental resistance. Please point me in the right direction for this help. Also, putting very hard Elite mobs in a CLASS quest that I cannot repeat and cannot kill on my own I will never understand. In that model, I have to bring friends when I am not even sure I will need them, making most of the fights super easy. Also, again I guess I don't get my thoughts across as I mean them. For cosmetic stuff like colors, I said I would like a lower power, lower level option. I have no aversion to working for great gear as I said in my post script. Here is the kicker IMO as to why Bioware is lame for not giving us a broader color spectrum at lower levels. They tout the game as my story, my fantasy. Well, my fantasy for my Jedi is to wield two purple lightsabers. I am about to hit max level, my initial story is almost done. I have not lived this fantasy to my full expectations. Did I enjoy the story hell yes, but for me, the lack of purple was a great disappointment. Sorry for the wall, this is why I am usually a lurker. I am getting so fng frustrated. It took me 4 tries to kill a NPC sorc who was 4 levels below me as his lightning did 2k, 2k, 2k, 2k and so on. My interrupts cant come fast enough, and dumb arse doc cant heal me fast enough even stocked with power gear as best I can make/get atm. Its worse in PVP and driving me mad...

I want to say this is just lame, but I can see how it would be cool to not allow another faction to buy something of yours from a Roleplay perspective (I don't Roleplay). But, is this indicated anywhere? I had no idea until I read this post. If it is not easily figured out, then come on Bioware, put a big notice up at said areas please. My suggestion, if possible, is connect them all, have one in each spaceport, but give us a choice when posting, which faction we want to sell to, or both. Delekahn

Stuff like this is cool, to a point. Some of us for many reasons are not able to do some of the things for these puzzles. I get killed so many times in my class quest, even though I'm generally 5 levels above it. Some of us are just not that great at this stuff, doesn't mean we don't enjoy it. I kept hitting escape and watched a romance option like 10 times cause I enjoy that stuff so much. Its just like high end raids or pvp. You should not be shafted if you are unable to raid or pvp or whatever specific action. I am not one to quit, but I was so mad in a Voidstar earlier today after the 20th time I got halted and killed by Sith lightning that I wanted to punch my screen. I had to step away. I should not have to go through that kind of crap to get high end gear. Also, I've had a quest to win a Warzone for 3 days now and everytime I'm in one, we loose (maybe its me lol). It would be nice to have the color options available even with crap stats, just so we could have the color we want, as many have said in other posts. Why wont you respond to that question? So many of us just want a frickn purple crystal, were begging, give us a low end one please. I am sorry I am being rude, I love so much about this game but am so frustrated by certain aspects. I am 400 artifice on VORNSKR. So, if you want and its possible, bring me the schem and ill make it for you, if we have all the ingredients.

I seem to have the worst luck with these schematic upgrades. I have poured thousands and thousands of credits into 30+ min missions just to get a few ingredients and then... maybe 1 out of 30 tries to get a upgrade. Is there any place anyone has found that gives a bonus to this chance? Like if I RE at a certain spot or next to something? Bioware, please just make some more of the non rare (purple) ingredients purchasable from vendors. And for goodness sake, give me some more color crystal options Delekahn

Not trying to be a jerk here as I really like this game. I also understand that Bioware has many more important issues to resolve at this time. But.... Not just simply giving us more starter color options was a JERK move. I want a purple lightsaber. I had one in Kotor, Kotor2, and I should be able to have one here. I am really far into my class story and have not seen one I can use. Plenty of mobs have used them againt me though, just to throw salt in the wound. At the least it should be an Artifice schem I can buy at a low level from my trainer. I dont care if it had bad stats, as long as it was the color I want. There is no acceptable reason IMO to not allow us to have the color we want. Sorry, I just fought another Sith with a purple and no loot its driving me mad!!!

Seriously if a Artificer cannot create a purple crystal, that is just BS. IMO

Put my code in on 7/26/11. Got in about 10:15 PST. And so far, got the names I wanted... whew... Servers arnt as bad as it seems
