What? Light/Dark status has nothing to do with leveling speed or mobs killed. Answer to your question: no.

I comes down to either making friends or learning how to play your character better. Many folks will ignore a cry for help if it is assumed that the trouble you are having is not the mobs but you...sad but true. So either make a friend, or practice more, or level and come back when it is easier for you. (*Or show a little leg = P )

Sorry you are having trouble, the best thing to do is slow down and really take the time to understand the mechanics of the game otherwise you will have the same problem with all your efforts regardless of class chosen. Solo questing is "not" that hard, there has to be a point where the user has to admit it's not the game but rather the player.

ATM if you have your FPS uncapped your GPU will get pretty hot. While my sytem is capable of getting 100 + FPS, I cap it with VSYNC at 60 FPS and my overheating issue is gone. i7 920 Win 7 64bit GTX 260 x2 in SLI 8 GB DDR3
