I got this too near the Gargath World Boss on Hoth, I had to run very far to get it actually work again.

One thing that annoys me a bit in those black bar cutscenes is that I cannot see my chat during them, so if someone askes me to some ops or warzone group during very long cutscene I might miss it. Not a huge issue, but still

This would be very nice! If they could be something like codex things, that we could browse and read anytime later from their own interface, or something similar to that.

This same happens to me also, I think its quite common Often I change to WoW of FFXIV, and return to swtor after couple of months or so, I think playing one game for very long just gets boring for many and taking little break makes games feel fresh and interesting again.

I did not play this game back then, but if it was anything like in Classic WoW, I would actually love it! when I played classic WoW for the first time in about 2 years ago, I was very surprised how flexible the talent system was. I played paladin and had 3 trees, tank, dps and heal, and every level I got I was able to put one point to any tree, if I wanted more tankiness I placed it on tank spec to get some tanky benefits, if I wanted more heals, I placed it for healing tree and so on. I had never seen anything like that in any other game and it was so much fun for me! Maybe the spec that I created for myself was far from optimal, but I did not really care about that. It was very fun to play and thats all that mattered to me at that time

Oh, this sounds terrible! now I will be paranoid about opening my mail too 😆 But I think his best option is to send in-game ticket for customer support so right people could see what happened and help! He can do it by the button next to cartel store that is like a cogwheel icon, from the popup menu select customer service. If that does not work, he could email them to support@swtor.com or possibly call them.

Here is some info that steam says about it in their support article about it: As of January 1 2024, Steam will officially stop supporting the Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 operating systems. In addition, future versions of Steam will require Windows feature and security updates only present in Windows 10 and above.

I think this one might be little different if it was like game streaming to another device, you are running the game in different device than you are playing it, so the game has to stream that from one device to another, but with my logic that wont be issue with swtor, since you will be running the game from your own computer like you used to, server is just hosted differently but the game server wont run the game for you. But again thats just my logic 😆 I wonder where that PTS cloud test server was hosted in, if it was located in EU or US, because wherever it was, i think with longer distance to it you play from, bigger ping you should be having. For me I remember it running just fine from what I remember, but I dont think i checked ping so I cannot really tell. New World's servers run on amazon's AWS cloud like SWTOR servers will be from what I understand, and that game actually works better for me than SWTOR It might not be proof that SWTOR will run identically, but I think it means that it can work really nicely.

I am planning to install huge wings to my laptop to make sure it can reach the cloud! joking aside, what do you think should be upgraded? I dont know much about these things, but I dont fully understand why would it be different to connect to server that is hosted in amazons could than one hosted by bioware?

From what I understood, nothing will change directly in game and it is just a backend thing, and current servers would stay the way they are. They have mentioned that they are evaluating options to open new servers sometime after the merge, like APAC region, but that should not change the current servers.

Thats quite interesting, for me the in-game ticket has actually been much faster than the email, despite me emailing them about payment issue which should be priority. I guess it depents on your luck and the issue took them about 13 hours to answer to my in-game ticket for some in-game issue I had about 2 months ago. I think it would be the best to create the ticket in-game so customer support could see and help you with it, or possibly email them at support@swtor.com

I know this is not the point of this topic really, but I am very curious about which race did you play if you happen to remember? I ask because all of them has different starting zones, some of them are quite nice, and some not as nice 😁

I think it would be nice if the 1000/1000 weekly limit could be removed or increased for the last week or two on pvp seasons. On last weeks there is no worry anymore that someone would get ahead of everyone else or anything like that as the season is nearly over. It would also help those who gets locked to like 6950/7000 on the last week by the weekly cap and cannot complete the rest since credit catchup does not work on later levels. What do you think?

I noticed the same happening with the companion gifts from the fleet's gift vendor too, however the "newer versions" of them that does not stack with the old ones seems to be also "binds to legacy", so that might cause it for them. I however did not see any mentions of them on patch notes becoming legacy bound, so it might be unintentional change. But I dont know if this is related to the consumables issue or not.

Still an issue in patch 7.3.

Since 7.3 patch, after PvP matches,the scoreboard does not highlight teammates anymore, only yourself. Before it used to highlight yourself like it does now, but it also highlighted your teammates little bit with yellowish borders.

I like the idea, it would be nice to buy cartel stuff with credits. One worry is just that if many players would start to buy cartel stuff with credits instead of cartel coins, it might hurt the funding of the game, since less people would be buying cartel coins. Maybe they could make some new items (or re-add some removed items from game) and make a vendor that will sell those items for credits.

I agree! I however heard interesting theory that because of steam takes 30% cut of income, it would make sense for them not to fix issues like this, as this makes many afraid to subscribe through steam as they see terrible (29% positive) ratings, so they would go to subscribe directly from the swtor website, which would increase their revenue quite a bit. But thats again just funny theory and will most likely NOT be the correct reason But what would be more interesting that conspiracy theories!
