  1. I was just thinking about this very thing last week. It really would be nice to have other things. I agree that decorations would be a nice addition. I bought some of the crafting mat from the token vendor and made a small profit. At least the mats sell high enough that you still gain over the initial credit costs.
  2. You must not have played in Black Talon during the several months or year it used to cause the game to crash upon jumping to lightspeed at the end of the flashpoint.
  3. I've done the same thing since there's no add-ons to help track that information. I have over 30 characters as well and It can be tedious to set up initially, but it helps a lot in remembering which toons have what.
  4. Is it ok to chuckle at the thought of a paid expansion?
  5. Another victim of the streaming launcher.
  6. I have yet to log on yet but they didn't even bother removing useless buttons? That's just wow. I hope they'll fix that in 5.6.1.
  7. Glad there's a Steak and Shake less than a mile from my house And yeah, I don't understand what the bad news is either I'd say that works better for everyone, and those that don't like it are Communists.
  8. For anyone thats aware of that feature but doesnt know anything about it my understanding of that feature is it blocks pretty much all programs from accessing certain folders and for it to work, it needs to be configured to give access to those programs. It can be a pain in the rear end to get it set up for all the programs that need access but once that's done it'll keep out all the nasty things like ransomware from affecting those folders (in theory, of course)
  9. I'm seeing that too, but it's also showing Chrome connecting to it as well. Edit: Star Forge IP appears to be 159.153.65.222
  10. Some guilds are constantly fighting the cap on a regular basis. My guild had been since before the cap was raised. We were so popular/visible that we filled up by the end of that summer after the cap was raised and had to remove unused alts not as often as other guilds but it was still something we had to deal with. A larger/no limit would alleviate those problems, regardless of Conquest being a factor as not every large guild is actively participating in Conquest. Guild size is a factor for Conquest, yes, but more important is the percentage of members actively participating in it. a larger percentage rate will be more of a determining factor in how successful a Guild is over the sheer volume of members alone. If a larger Guild has little to no participation, they probably won't even register in the top 10 or they'll be at the lower half if they do. For example, say I'm in a Guild that has almost 900 members, but they may be lucky to break into the top 5 due to the lower percentage of actively participating members.
  11. I can see that happening. No one dies. Depending on the map, winning team won't be determined till the final seconds.
  12. It's very sad and unfortunate how much they're ******** on APAC players, who seem to be a fairly loyal community despite having their server taken away. it's as if now they couldn't give a crap about those players, though it's possibly safe to venture a guess they don't care that much about any of us. Despite not being affected, I think it's a huge ******** move they did, lying to us that there will be a West Coast Server. I'd be shocked if they decide to reverse the decision and have at least one or two West Coast servers. Aside from any European servers, it's like if you're not in the US then they don't care if you'll have a playable experience or not. I'm very willing to bet their "testing" was nothing more than how much money they could save, though it'll have a snowball effect and they'll lose so much more now after many more part ways and hopefully find somethign that's less agravating. I find it hard to believe that they're spendign so much money on infrastructure upgrades to support a game that's practically on life support. They think they have high hopes but the constant screwups are only causing more damage and I can also bet that they are clueless as to the real reason so many have left because their ability to listen is so far off.
  13. Agreed, you or the leader allowed this to happen so blame can't be placed anywhere else. If access is restricted and their only reason for joining is to take things from the guild bank that they have access to (therefore isn't technically robbing), then they may leave and look for other guilds that are more careless.
  14. They do unbind, in a day and a half, just like the cartel items.
  15. Complete agree. We already have the number of used slots and total slots and we can see for ourselves what slots are used and empty, the bar gives us absolutely nothing useful.
  16. you get the initial 600 when they use your referral, you don't get that every single month. Looks like it's working at intended because you only get a small amount each month they stay subbed.
  17. Eric, Don't forget to remind them to replace the hamster
  18. Every time I see a post of that nature, it's like they're saying they want it to fail and if potential players aren't playing because of these people, then they may get what they think. Even though they've been around practically since day 1, it's funny how the game has lasted this long. Even though it's gone downhill over the years, ever since they stopped released paid "expansions" (harder to use that term in a serious manner now since 5.0 was nothing even remotely close to an expansion in my opinion), it hasn't fully died. Can things be turned around as quickly as we expect them? Not at all. It takes time for things to happen. It takes time to write all the code associated with big changes that it can't happen in a couple weeks or maybe even a couple months. As someone else stated somewhere, we don't know the inner workings of BW/EA so no one can really assume what they're doing, even if what we see doesn't look all that positive. From all these negative posts, while I agree that some are downright rude to others, most of the displeasure towards the company and the direction of the game isn't completely unwarranted as many of us have been around long enough to see how the state of the game has changed, partly due to the several times they ask for feedback just to feel ignored when plenty of great ideas have been given. It's understandable, to a degree, that many here are feeling very annoyed and pissed off over something they once truly enjoyed being treated in a way that should've never even been considered. Everyone is fully entitled to their opinion because that's the way they feel. Honestly, I think like their request for feedback is taken as seriously as the Terms of Service or Rules of Conduct. Seems like it's there just for show.
  19. Didn't they do something similar a few years ago maybe around the time of their server merges to help ease naming conflicts and free up names? It may have just been for F2P accounts, I forgot the exact details but I know they made it so some names could be reused. It wouldn't be a bad idea to do it again with all these players that stopped subbing if they only did it for those accounts.
  20. If there are people that do that, pardon my language (or not, idc), but that sounds incredibly boring as ****. What's the point of paying for a game only to make billions of fake credits that have zero value anywhere else, especially if they do little to nothing else. Just think, they'll have this number of credits that's represented by nothing more than colored pixels and when this game is eventually killed off completely, all of that will have been for nothing and there will be nothing to show for it.
  21. if I ordered something and didn't get everything I ordered, I'd bring it up but i wouldn't complain about it. It's inevitable that mistakes happen, nothing to get upset about because you can't control what others do or what complications arise from which you have no direct interaction (i.e. you didn't help develop the game or patches, so you have no control over what happens with the final product). You're actually comparing two different things. When you go to a restaurant and order a burger and fries, you're guaranteed to get a burger and fries. When you play an MMO, there is nor can there be any guarantee that you'll get what you want when you want it. But when you think about it, according to your analogy, it's like going to a restaraunt and ordering something and the cashier or waiter tells you they don't have an item you requested. Do you demand compensation in that case or simply look for something else? No, you hadn't paid for the food yet, but not getting something you want and losing time applies to both scenarios. A few hours of downtime is not the same a week of downtime. I would expect compensation for a week, of course, because it's warranted. I personally can deal with a few hours. A few hours out of a month is just not worth fussing about at all. Do I lose a day of playing when it happens? Yes I do. Do I act like it's the end of the world? Not at all because there are far more important things to worry about, yet so many act like it is the end of the world. I do agree it's annoying and frustrating when extended maintenance occurs and yes I would love to play just like anyone else, but it's not worth crying about. How about if you buy a car or appliance and a part fails through no fault of your own, do you expect compensation from the manufacturer even if the warranty doesn't apply? (gotta keep it comparable, ya know) On a side note, I can only imagine how some of these "kids" (because that's how many act when they are greeted with things that conflict with their wants) would act if kinds of things were removed from their lives and they had to find real forms of entertainment like some of us had to do when we were kids. I would have no doubt they'd have no friends due to poor/non-existent social skills and they'd be scared to be out in the sun for more than 5 minutes. Not very long ago this sort of thing didn't exist and people got along just fine with the things they had but now in today's society too many have this need for instant gratification and make demands for the dumbest things that are so insignificant. May those be blessed with whiny kids that want every single thing they see and demand you buy every toy they want. then throw a temper tantrum every time they don't get what they want.
  22. if you break down the sub fees for the smallest unit which is a month at a time (At least for the US. I don't know if the sub fees other countries are the same when converted or not), it comes out to around 48 to 49 cents per day so that 20 cents that was lost is surely worth demanding/expecting compensation!!! It's preposterous to think they would ignore that. But wait, what about the time you aren't playing, or can't for some reason, isn't that lost sub time too?
  23. Demanding or begging things from others won't always get you what you want, deal with it. Not to you directly, but everyone who has this thing where they think they can get what they want by complaining or whatever they do. Probably didn't work when you were a child so why expect it to change after you (supposedly) became an adult. then don't do it. Pretty sure no forced you do do them against your will. It's your time, no one else's. You chose to do the dailies multiple days on multiple alts. Really difficult to make a big deal over something you chose to do.
