  1. So they've specifically said the rep advance issue won't be addressed in today's update but they're considering a fix in the next patch. I hope they're thinking hard. https://forums.swtor.com/topic/934346-conquest-changes-following-741// I am completely demotivated. I realise today I'm not keen on playing parts of the game because the conquest points for reputation advance were previously a key motivator. The newest daily area (Kessan's Landing) also offers no conquest reward for completion of the weekly mission set. Why would I want to grind there? Even the older daily areas (and recurring events) often offer little cq for actually completing the area, so what is driving people to play them now? (Maybe that's more for players who didn't max the rep 8 years ago.) I haven't played the GSI missions since I maxed it and checking the list today there is no cq reward specifically for GSI, and those missions are far too annoying to carry no reward.
  2. Since update 7.4.1, the four objective markers have been missing from "Unconventional Methods". See screenshot below, captured when I'd already done 1 of the 4 and you can see the markers are missing from the map. This is not helpful for players who don't know this mission well!
  3. You found the only CQ compensation there is and yes, it's a complete joke. People don't hide or obfuscate the truth unless they think it won't go down well... I'd started to feel confident that the new devs had a firm hand on the wheel but the rep nerf and the weirdness with 'junk' rewards makes me feel like they're driving with their eyes closed.
  4. I think this is a good analysis - it's the ongoing desire to change the economics in the game. I'm not against the goal, just the lazy way it's been attempted and the associated communication failure. You can't just hit one specific thing for this goal - it requires a lot more consideration to avoid the loss of loyalty as described above and in many other posts. There have been other changes in the game in the last year that left a bad taste and most people got over it. But this time you've gone too far.
  5. If you unsub you'll be "preferred" and still have everything you've unlocked before and should find that even new expansions are included. You lose access to some group stuff. The only thing that bothers me is the 1m credits limit, which prevents you buying expensive GTN items.
  6. Definitely. And they list so many tiny things in patch notes, yet not such a major gut punch to players because they know that's exactly what it is. I see a huge amount of negativity on the other post I linked to, so I hope they will see that, own their screwup, and do SOMETHING sensible to redress it.
  7. GSF can be horrible. I've used it in previous seasons for seasons points, but the rest of the time I'd rather leave a toon dormant than suffer GSF. With the new season I'm not sure I care that much about points and might leave that toon dormant.
  8. Someone else suggested increase max stronghold bonus from 150% to compensate for nerfing CQ - great idea! People who already have more strongholds than needed for 150% would get the appropriate uplift (about 3% per module), and the Copero stronghold would add to that - perhaps if you have all strongholds maxed (including Copero), the cq points for rep at xxx% should be closer to the old figure, with increases on all other cq objectives balancing things too. You would then provide more motivation for people to play GS6 to max the Copero stronghold. Why didn't someone think of this instead of stealth-nerfing the game? ALSO, I see you still have NO cq points for Kessan's Landing - not even 'defeat enemies'! That is surely an oversight and does not motivate me to play that location beyond the story.
  9. I actually think this change might kill the game. It's already hard enough to get PVP or GSF and now there will be fewer ppl prepared for the extra effort needed - for what reward exactly???
  10. Before, you could drop the GS rep (or any other saved rep) for 45k daily, now you grind without any GS rep. You now get 21k once a week for completing 4 GS objectives, and 9.5k daily if you gain a level, which is pathetic. I'm personally demotivated as the rewards aren't worth that much grind, and were already questionable value before the cq points were nerfed.
  11. See response here: https://forums.swtor.com/topic/934053-blueprint-fragments-are-considered-junk/?do=findComment&comment=9803611
  12. Prior to 7.4.1 (12 March 2024 update) I was getting about 45k conquest points for advancing reputation. That's with 150% stronghold bonus. Now the figure for me is about 7,625. (I know the exact amount depends on guild perks.) I can't find any reference to this in the patch notes, so this is a bug. Right?!
  13. Expected this to be fixed in the patch earlier this week as it affects movement and therefore changes my gameplay experience (I don't want to play my toon because you broke her, meanwhile you carry on taking my money). WHEN WILL THIS BE PATCHED?
  14. It's movement as well as animation - my marauder moves to her target for this attack (meaning other attacks are now in range) but the movement is now broken too, so reduces options without manually moving to the target.
  15. There's also this page - https://help.ea.com/uk/contact-us/new/?product=star-wars-the-old-republic&platform=pc&category=technical-support&issue=game-performance&subject=SWTOR&isChannelSelection=true - which doesn't make it clear that the numbers are not for in-game support. After chasing the CommunityTeam a few times to expand on who the "appropriate team" is and when I am likely to hear from them, I've heard nothing from anyone. Despite the initial promising engagement, again it's been proved that this company just takes money from its customers/subscribers and doesn't give a sh*t about their satisfaction. I like the game despite the many bugs, but I will be unsubscribing once I've completed the current expansions.
  16. Picking up this thread as I'm wondering what to do with all the gear that comes out of these boxes. It has ZERO value with a vendor and can't be deconstructed either. Without level 80 mods, I can't even make this gear the most powerful, and anyway I have 50+ of each box type so can never use it all. So the only possible use is cosmetic, and I need to discard maybe 99% of hundreds of items - is there an easy way to do that? My best thought is to create dummy toons and fill up their inventory with unwanted items before deleting them!
  17. I thought I was missing something but clearly not. 5 (soon 7) toons at level 80 so I constantly max MoC both weekly limit and overall, yet the ARMs are hard to come by without a lot of grinding. Keep leaving conquest reward pending, in the hope that I stumble on a use for all the MoC instead of turning 200 into ZERO! I bought a few sets of gear for my lower level toons but they also receive level 80 boxes they can't yet open. I think I've already got too much gear, and never enough ARMs to combine with the MoCs to do upgrades. This is seriously out of whack, stupid developers.
  18. This is true and it has to be said that this is a great game most of the time but as others say, BW is out of step with what the players want. And most players don't complain because their questions have already been answered here in the forums or another player helps in the in-game chat. It's a great community where most players are kind and helpful. So that's the players relating to one another, not Bioware relating to the players.
  19. Well I got some dialogue but what feels like a brush-off. They've sent my concerns to the "appropriate team" (unnamed) and offered me no timescale. Taking complaints seriously begins with the "appropriate team" immediately identifying themselves and telling you what will happen and when. This is why I feel I need to get someone on the phone.
  20. Sorry to seem dumb but how do I send a forum PM to those names above? I asked for compensation as I wasted cartel coins buying hair that turned out to be bugged (paid more coins to buy back original hair). Script says 'no refunds' - doesn't seem to matter that they sold me 'faulty goods'. I filed a bug report as suggested, but still requested compensation as they didn't say when the bug would be fixed. (I interpret no timescale as "don't hold your breath".) I also asked for an explanation of why I didn't get a guild reward for one of my characters, and all they can say is "you didn't meet the requirements", but I was in the guild before the week in question started and I achieved 50k points - it was the last week before the target went up to 100k. All my other characters who exceeded 50k (and not 100k) got the guild reward. The guild log confirms I hit the 50k. Maybe there is some complication (definition of this game!) and I really didn't earn the reward somehow, but I think it's reasonable to expect more than their typical information-free responses.
  21. Anyone discovered a number (I need UK) for in-game issues? I need to escalate bad handling of my tickets in-game (they are now closed without response) and get my original complaints resolved. I found a UK number but the guy there claimed they only deal with billing issues, not in-game, and couldn't give me any other suggestion than to raise another ticket in-game to request escalation, which I did and they duly closed without comment.
  22. They close my tickets without response now, because I challenged the quality of their previous responses and told them it wasn't good enough. I lost cartel coins because of a bug, didn't get a weekly reward (could be a bug, or something I missed which they should easily be able to explain). So I agree with other comments - they don't care about the customer and provide no escalation point for that reason.
  23. Hi, I suggest you close down your customer support service. I'm talking specifically about the staff who respond to submitted tickets with little or no helpful advice and then close tickets without knowing the user has resolved the issue. You are not willing to support your customers in any meaningful way so the money is better spent on development and testing. Bug reports should continue for testers to verify and pass to the development team to rectify. I personally find better support from other players when it comes to functionality and overcoming bugs. What's missing is an official bug list - you just have to hope someone else has mentioned a bug on these forums or responds to a message in the in-game chat. Simply put, a bad service does no one any favours.
  24. Just adding my voice to this - thought this updates would fix bugs, not create them. Now my companion looks awful!
  25. Same issue today - why does this bug still exist after so long?! Spent ages looking for some way to lower the shield before surrendering to Google. Logging off the character does resolve though. Very annoying. FYI I chose to kill the admiral rather than arrest him. (It's what we do on the dark side.)
