Processor AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS with Radeon Graphics 2.90 GHz Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.42 GB usable) System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Having the same issue as described. Same situation where it randomly decides to work one time, then not for several retries. I've tried to "validate files" on steam, and that seems to SOMETIMES make it work again, but it's not consistent enough for me to call that a workaround. No real rhyme or reason except that I can get on once, play just fine, then need to try again and again to get back in. It's not the launcher per se anymore, that was the old issue and that's coming up each time, but now the server listings are compromised more often than not. Previous to the update, it was the launcher that was bugged but once you got in, the server listings were never an issue for me.

Downloading and replacing the DLL worked for me as well. I simply renamed the old .dll to OLD_ and then put the new one in and it launched on the first try.

I play on Star Forge. On the RARE occasions i can get past the launcher, the game itself plays fine. But the launcher is like a 1/100 success rate at best. Today i've been trying all day without success. It's strictly the launcher, soon as I can get past that? I'm golden.

I'm finding that, at present, BioWare has managed to give me a huge dose of nostalgia. I feel like I'm back trying to get my NES working, blowing on the cartridge and sliding it all over, hoping one of the times it catches. I've been able to play each day, but that's only with persistence of trying the launcher time after time. That includes running the verify of files over and over, etc. I have no idea that any of it works, or there is a magic formula, just one out of every 50 times, it catches, lets me log in and we're good. For me personally, when I'm in, it's fine. I'm seeing servers, all that good stuff. But watching the launch screen flicker over and over, no idea if it'll actually work, is becoming a tedious affair. They need to work on a solution, or if this was in response to a patch, roll it back until Tuesday, then make darn sure the Tuesday new release works for all processors.

It definitely seems to be stuck in some kind of cycle of updating the launcher. I reinstalled the launcher from the website (instead of Steam) and it basically cycled through 2-3 rounds of "updating the installer" then blinking out, then coming back, before finally not coming back again. The only time i got past the launcher, i was stable, connected and able to go from character to character no issue, just once i quit and tried to come back, back to this vicious cycle of not letting me enter log in info.

Only had success once out of dozens of times, with no real rational explanation why. The comment on mobile processors might be accurate. My processor is: AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS with Radeon Graphics, 2900 Mhz, 8 Core(s), 16 Logical Processor(s) But it is Platform Role of "Mobile"

I had it working around noontime, not sure what i did, but it allowed me to log in. Then i tried again after playing for an hour or so, logging out and coming back two hours later, broken again. So there seems to be some way to get the screen to stay up at times, and once you get past it, you're golden.

I can report it worked fine up until the update was auto-pushed by steam (per my settings). I hadn't made any changes to my pc at all, so it's nothing to do with that. It was working a couple hours prior as well. Hopefully that helps with the bug fixing. I can also report that Steam has tried to redownload files several more times but to no avail (as seen in my download history). I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling a couple times even, so that does not help.

Per the updated pushed out to Steam, my launcher is no longer working after about noon EST today.
