  1. So my guild and I started running Operations a couple of weeks ago, and we are having a lot of fun killing the bosses and discovering new tactics, etc... But most of us have agreed that we don't like or understand why the recipes that are dropped by the bosses are bind on pick up and the items you can craft are bind on acquired... this doesn't make any sense... Most of the stuff you can craft is not much better than most of us are already using and a lot of times the we don't have people in the operation with the specific crafting class of the recipe being dropped. This should be fixed so the recipes can be traded, and the items could be passed to other toons or could be sold at the GTN.
  2. This is the real deal... So if you don't pay attention they can kill you very fast, and if you counter them and you are actually winning the battle, they disappear... Thats not right...
  3. Resolve needs to last longer... your bar goes to full after being rooted like 3 times, knocked back like 2, rooted a couple of times, etc., etc., and the resolver bar just last for like 10 seconds...
  4. Well said! After 5 months since the game came out i only have 1 lvl 50 and a couple of alts with decent lvl. Why? Because i have a job, a future wife, friends, etc... and i only play they game for 1 or 2 hours during the week. Most of my guild shares the same amount of free time, and that's why we have only done 1 of the 4 operations available, so we are looking forward to them! A lot of people needs to realize that not everyone has all day free to play videogames (i wish i had), so for me there is still plenty of stuff to do.
  5. Don't agree with you at all. In my guild there is always a ton of stuff to do. We do normal or hardmodes flashpoints depending if we are with our 50s or with alts. During weekends we do Operations. All week we organize pvp premades, dailies, etc. A huge part of enjoying an mmo is to find a good guild and be able to play with them and have fun, regardless of what you are doing.
  6. Remove the pvp trauma debuff and healers will be useful again! They will still die very fast, so teammates will keep an eye on them cause the will keep everyone alive again. Thats is all you need to fix this pvp debacle... this and a boost to rewards for the loosing team!
  7. This is my idea of how the legacy system should work: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=418523 I was surprised to find out that a lot of people support the legacy system as the new money sink the game needed, when the developers could add a lot of other ways for players to spend their credits.
  8. I am with ya on this... i have been playing the game since lunch, and i have 1 lvl 50 and several alts, and i don't have enough money to buy the stuff i unlocked with my legacy level. Why? because i can only play a couple of hours everyday, except for weekends, and mos of my online time i spend it doing pvp. Once again developers favor those who can play all day long, and not all their players, despise the fact that i have been paying the game since release!
  9. What we need is a buff for the team that has fewer players, that can be stackable depending on how many players one team is short of... 1 player = 5% damage output; 2 players = 5% damage output and 5% defense rating; 3 players = 5% dmg output, 5% def rating and 5% more Hitpoints; you get the idea... At least this way the team who has fewer players can try to compensate until the team is full.
  10. I think you are in the right direction... In your point c i would add a buff to the team that has suffer from a deserter... maybe a damage or health boost for like 30 to 60 seconds for the whole team, not stackable and can only occur once every 60 seconds if multiple ppl leave the warzone...
  11. Baby steps is what the developers must do when they work on pvp changes... You never introduce many changes to a system that is highly used, cause when something goes wrong, it usually isn't a single thing, and fixing it will require a lot of time. Pvp prior to 1.2 was going in the right direction, a few more tweaks and i think i could have been great, but now we have gone back several steps...
  12. My point was to divert from the usual ways how mmos are done...
  13. But dude, as the game progresses you will have new crafting missions, recipes, skills, etc... that will cost more and more money, so whats the point of adding a money cost to one of the most important add on to the game, that probably will require way to much time invested for the new players. (Remember that they will have to buy everything we have bought in the past 5 months).
  14. I don't say that money sink shouldn't exist... there are tons of ways to make you spend your money... before 1.2 it was the riding skill, the vehicles, the skills, crafting recipes, etc... and new ways will come out as the game progress, such as more expensive recipes, skills, etc... The only thing i am saying is that for me the legacy system, being such a fundamental part of the games, as the developers said, would have been a lot more fun if the stuff you could do or get, you do them or get them in a different way, instead of just putting a regular price... this would add a more value to the system, instead of just turning into the new money sink.
  15. Like the above guy said, the devs can always find new ways to make you spend more credits... New an expensive recipes, skills, spaceship upgrades, vehicles, etc...
  16. Don't forget that the legacy system can be applied to your guild... well if you think about it, in your family tree you can add collaborators or friends (don't remember the name), and i think your guild mates will fall into that category just for being in the guild. Why not add guild legacy points that will be earned by doing stuff with your guild mates, like specific quests or flash points, or even operations. Credits will always be there, and you will continue to earn them, and there will always be stuff for you to spend them in, like crafted stuff, repairs, recipes, skills, etc... And for the social aspect of the game, that can easily be encouraged by raising the amount of legacy points you gain by doing stuff as a group, just like the social points... So if you do a regular quest or an heroic with 2 people, you get x1.5 the amount of points, if you do it with 3 people, you get x2 the amount of points, and if you do it with 4, you get x3 the amount of points. (just an example)... This can be applied to operations as well with and 8 man getting x4 or x5, and a 16 man getting x6 or x8 the amount of points.
  17. Its depends on what you consider farming... Legacy points will be earn whether you like it or not. Everything you do in game will give you legacy points... You help a guildmate/friend with an heroic, you get points... you do operations with your guild, you get points... you play solo by doing only quest, you get point... You won't feel the need to repeat an specific mission just because that's the one that gives you more credits. The currency becomes something you will be getting despise of what you do... so you will earn it by playing the entire game, and not only one aspect of the game.
  18. Legacy Items and rewards should cost Legacy points and not credits... How do you get legacy points? Easy make a character and play the game: do quests, participate in pvp, flashpoints or operations, make alts, etc... AKA, enjoying the game. Gold farming is a bad ideas cause i forces people to repeat and repeat one specific content (whatever gives the most amount of credits), eventually leading people to be bored with the game. Let me give an example of what would i do: You start at lvl 1 playing the game and start earning legacy points. To reach legacy lvl 2 you need 10k legacy experience. For me 1 experience points = 1 legacy point being able to be spent in rewards, so by the time you get to lvl 2, you already have 10k points, and allows you to buy something, but if you do it then you lose the points it cost, so by the time you reach legacy lvl 3 (needed 30k legacy exp) you will not have 40k points to spend, you will have 40k minus X amount of point you already spent on rewards, so maybe you will not be able to afford the rewards unlocked at lvl 3. Continue this until legacy lvl 50. The important thing here is not to make the rewards at lvl 50 way better than the ones offered at lvl 2. Make them different. For example at lvl 50 you can reduce the cooldown of your travelmap by 75%, but at lvl 10 you were able to buy the repair droid, and at lvl 25 you could buy the GTN console for your ship, etc... Another important thing is that, even if you achieved legacy lvl 50, you continue to gain legacy points by doing flashpoints, operations, dailies, heroics, etc. So eventually you will be able to buy all the rewards. This will be a further incentive for players to keep doing the end game content, or creating alts, etc. Just and idea i just had by reading the forum.

  20. Well yeah! Do you remember the phrase said by the devs in many opportunities? We want the player to feel heroic... Whats heroic in dying in 4 seconds? A lot of people are saying that healers prior to 1.2 were keeping everyone alive and unbalancing the game... i say they were making the pvp heroic and epic... I remember being in a couple of warzones with some friends shouting "EPIC BATTLE"!!!! Why? Because both sides had healers doing their jobs, keeping everyone alive, so the fight for a turret lasted more than 10 minutes, and always in combat... That's what i call heroic combat... I was one of the healers and i was feeling truly heroic, do did my dps commando friend and my tank guardian friend. Now you need a freaking miracle for the fight last more than 10 seconds... everybody dies so fast, even under my salvation healing spot and me spamming heals like a mad man.... And if you think about it, its a huge joke... Sages got their healing output reduced, big heal now takes more than 2.3 seconds, aoe heals isn't as effective as it was... noble sacrifice with the effect of resplendence takes away your HP... we are more squishy that ever... we have the trauma debuff taking away 30% of our healing output... It doesn't make any freaking sense... I want my epic battles back... fights were we could be battling for a long time... needing everyone to be fully concentrated, cause the first mistake could mean you lost the objective... Now healers need to disguise them self not to be targeted right away and dying in 2 seconds.
  21. You have to be joking... lol The game is fun when healers are not around... ROFL There is absolutely nothing right about this... nothing... a game that offers a class and then ask players not to use it in pro of the fun they have when they are not around its just wrong!!!!!!
