  1. I never said I couldn't do it. I just don't find it fun. I also don't want to give the 7 bots on my team another win for their battle records that they don't deserve. 😎
  2. 1. Yes, pretty effortlessly. The arena weeklies took a while because of pop times mostly, but I still finished them a month before the season will end. 2. Nope. I already have all of the old ranked rewards, I got the new flags because Bioware removed my old ones because flagging is apparently "toxic", but the armors are ugly and I will never use them. 3. Its alright. I wish the challenges were things that actually required skill to complete, but oh well 4. Arena weeklies should be halved. They take too long to do since the pop times are so slow. Even winning the vast majority of my arena games it still took significantly longer to get that achievement than it did for the warzone achievement 5. I am in the premade. I dont like playing solo because the average PuG is trash and can't do damage, and its frustrating trying to carry an entire team of people who do sub 5k dps. Sorry not sorry that I have friends and the solos dont 😎
  3. I've noticed the same thing. I had a win rate at about 90% and then started getting complete uncarriable bots on my team. The only way I can get decent matches now is to run a full premade. I can't really queue solo anymore because it puts the worst players on my team.

    i339 gear in PvP

They have a couple thousand extra health and a couple hundred extra mastery/power, but 9/10 times if you lose to someone in 339 and you're in 332 the gear isn't the issue. 😎
  5. Back then it made sense because you could earn comms for PvP gear. I remember being able to get enough from doing lowbies to get a full set once I reached 65. But this game is not self explanatory. You start out with 1 quickbar and the game doesn't tell you how to enable the rest, or how to keybind, or any of that. BioWare needs to make better tutorials if they want to get these people to improve. If the average pug wasn't so bad, then maybe I might enjoy regs and the new arena system more. But as it stands now, I want to play in a "high-skill" environment again, and I am not alone in that.
  6. If they had all of their abilities from bolster how would that be any different from level 80 PvP in the first place? But I don't necessarily think it's a bad idea. I've just come to the realization over the years that very few people are willing to even attempt to improve at the game. These people don't want to learn. They don't want to compete. They want to get in, get their conquest/space barbie rewards, and GTFO. I don't believe anything can be done about it. But I can say this, if Ranked was still a thing, I would be doing that instead of terrorizing 320 iRating noobs like I do now.
  7. That wouldn't help anything. Something something lead a horse to water. The vast majority of casuals have no desire to learn or improve so they never will. That's why a Ranked mode involving skill based matchmaking needs to make a return, so that myself and other good players can play with/against each other. Carrying 7 pugs is no more fun than curbstomping them is.
  8. So to preface this, I think the whole premade vs. pugs discussion is irrelevant. The real problem is the skill gap in the game. To help address this and lead for a more balanced experience for the sub-5k DPSing, keyboard turning, mouse clicking, backpedaling, story mode noobs, BioWare should add a new mode to PvP. I've done a lot of thinking about this and have some pretty good ideas. First, it should be team deathmatches only, and matchmaker should prioritize having equal support roles (no double heals, or tank-3DPS vs. heal 3DPS, for example), as well as having a way to matchmake players based on relative skill. I think in this case, an ELO based system might work pretty decently, so that players naturally fill in different tiers based on how good they perform, so you no longer have cases of really good players fighting new players. I think three tiers should suffice, lets call them Bronze, Silver, and Gold in this example. There should also be a tier above Gold, lets call it... Platinum, that goes out to the highest percentage win-rate players. To help organize this new mode, they could implement a sort of "Season" like the new PvP Seasons. Each Season should last a certain length of time, and rewards should be given out at the end based on said player's battle record, taking into account things like average damage, win-rate, and K/D ratio. There should also be a public leaderboard as well, so that players can compare their stats with each other, making the mode more competitive. And of course, the mode should be divided into "Team" and "Solo" categories, to help with balancing. Now of course, this sounds a bit crazy for SWTOR. A competitive, skill based PvP mode? But I think having a sort of "Ranked" game-mode might bring a lot of people to PvP to test their mettle against live opponents and could be a lot of fun. I'd love to hear any suggestions to improve the mode, or if BioWare would like to chime in as well that would be cool too!
  9. I made this post title into my guild name, gave me a good laugh. You solo players wanted Ranked gone, now you can reap what you sow. I'll see you in the game. 😎
  10. As a tank main, I've always held the belief that if a tank is getting top damage, it says more about the DPS players being bad than it does about the tank being good. πŸ€”πŸ˜‰πŸ˜Ž
  11. Its fine how it is. Chances are if you can't figure out how to get gear you wouldn't be good at PvP anyways so it doesn't really matter.
  12. I have no trouble getting more than 8 medals in any mode or map. People here just need to get gud. 😎
  13. BioWare wants 8 medals to be "hard" to get. If you want to get more medals, get better at the game. 😎
  14. I'm playing more and more matches where I no longer need to use DCDs in PvP either because the people I'm fighting are a non-threat. It isn't fun. I think BioWare needs to put more effort into game tutorials, or at the very least try to redirect players to existing tutorials.
