  1. Hello, Would it be possible for you to link me to where you found the old SWTOR Launcher from 2020? I myself am rendered completely unable to play the game as a result of this forced launcher update and it's issues, and would greatly appreciate having a working launcher again which isn't threatening to crash my hard drive with bloatware. If you see this reply and can point me the old launcher can be found, many thanks!
  2. I am glad to see that the Community Team's eyes are still on this thread. However, could we please get actual transparency with regards to the size of what the launcher is actually downloading? I would appreciate official confirmation that the launcher either is or is not going to require 35-40 GB of space I don't have on my computer. If this is a known issue, I hope that the team is also looking into it as part of what the launcher is potentially displaying incorrectly. Many thanks in advance.
  3. Hello, It seems I was one of the users apparently selected at random today to "test" this launcher update. I certainly wish I had at least had some sort of option to opt out of this trial, because this update may have effectively cheated me out of the game and subscription time I've paid for until this new launcher's issues are fixed. To delve into the exact details of the issue I encountered, the launcher itself seemed to update just fine before I logged in to it,, after opening it's application, even though it did take some time to update and restart itself. Once this was over with, I was able to log in like normal. However, to my immense surprise, I was then prompted by the launcher to accept a whopping download of 35 GB or more, even if SWTOR is obviously fully and properly installed on my computer (no issues whatsoever before today at that) . I cannot actually spare an additional 35 GB of space on my hard drive. Had I allowed this forced download to finish, my hard drive would very likely have crashed. As it stands, I had no way of even pausing this download normally, the launcher froze up my computer, and I feared the worst. I had to terminate power entirely in order to avoid having this update destroy my entire system. I did notice the claims made by users in the relevant EA forums thread opened recently with regards to this update that the download was not truly 35 GB, but such claims were made only by a few users, and other posts in the same forums seemed to indicate that they did indeed need to download not only 35 GB, but 45 GB in total. I simply cannot risk the chance that the ones claiming the download is nothing to be concerned about are mistaken. I sincerely hope that this issue is fixed in a prompt and timely manner by BioWare so that I can play the game and make use of the play time I renewed less than a week ago again, otherwise I will unfortunately have no choice but to cancel my subscription for good and pursue a refund, regardless of what is done to my account. I hope that this issue is fixed for the sake of my fellow players who were included in this "trial" as well. On a related note, it is absolutely disgusting and unscrupulous, to say the very least, that the beta testing of a new launcher has been forced on unsuspecting players with virtually no true warning or ability to opt out. This would be a lot like forcing regular players who intend to log in to the Live servers to spend valuable time with friends into the PTS server. Leaving your players and subscribers with no options in this matter whatsoever is a horrible policy, especially if they are expected to allow a massive and potentially damaging download onto their system.
  4. Welcome to the club if you decide to quit. I just finished canceling my subscription a few minutes ago. Legacy of the Sith is an utter failure of an expansion, and BioWare's callous disregard for this game's paying players shows.
  5. Mirrors my feelings exactly, but this bug is pretty major and affects at least 3.5/4ths of gameplay as female characters, not to mention all of the big SWTOR YouTube channels which primarily use female characters, so BioWare can't just ignore it forever (unless they really are so far gone now).
  6. What are the chances someone here has found a good way to avoid this while still enjoying the game as a female character? Sometimes different graphics configurations can mitigate animation bugs, (V-sync, shadows being turned off, etc). It's odd it would pop up now when BioWare hasn't added any new female animations to my knowledge. This engine is a mess however so it's hard to say what could've gone so wrong. Either way I fear it will be a long time before BioWare actually manages to fix this considering how extremely poor the entire QA and bug fixing process has been with SWTOR (seemingly takes them multiple patches to even fix one small texture bug if they do at all), but I'm not ready to throw in the towel on this game yet, as prudent as that might be at this point. Also is it only that one female Smuggler cutscene the deformation happens in outside of interacting with objects? Or is it almost every cutscene?
  7. This bug is what should be priority for BioWare to fix, I almost don't care about other bugs since this one prevents me from actually enjoying the game to begin with. I may as well cancel my subscription and uninstall SWTOR if 6.1.2a doesn't address this.
