  1. The only thing that would bring me back is if they nerf SM and HM R-4. It is way to over tuned. HM makes most NiM operations look like a joke. Nobody forms for R-4 cause people are tired of wiping and wasting their time on an operation that Bioware spent a year hyping up. I have seen whole regular operations groups and raiding guilds fall to pieces since August 3rd. It is why I threw in the towel. Two of my raiding friends did the same and are playing other games now more worth their time. That and the fact that all we get for "story" is 15 minute back to back cutscene. No mission, no flashpoint, nothing of value.
  2. That right there. See then that would mean that 7.1 and R-4 was only aimed at the NiM community. To say that "nobody needs 340 gear" basically means that besides mods and 330 green and blue. That the entire operation in this update is pointless if you already got 330 gear and nobody should bother playing it cause unless you do HM, you will never progress. HM being impossible for 95% of the player base to clear right now. See how ridiculous you sound? To say "You don't need it" is one of the weakest arguments I have ever heard.
  3. Bioware doesn't care about that 95% of the player base. They don't at all. You are getting replies from people saying "Why do you need 340?" or "yOu DoN't NeEd It". Those people genuinely are so tone deaf to how the majority of the base feels about this update that they're living in an echo chamber. The reality is this new operation was meant to be PLAYED AND CLEARED BY THE ENTIRETY OF THE PLAYERBASE. It's why Bioware made such a big deal about it. If only 5% of the players are clearing R4 HM then who is Bioware aiming this content toward? The 5%? If that's the case. Then the 95% need to cancel subs and let Bioware bleed money cause we came from 6.X which allowed any and everyone to grind for max rating by playing ANY and I mean ANY content. They go from that incredibly friendly system straight to a casual hostile, toxic and elitist mindset gearing system. I have cleared R-4 SM. It is doable when people learn it. But when you want to do HM R-4. First off if you can even find a group. It is so over tuned and so unforgiving that after 4 hours of wasting your life on the first boss. You will want to put your fist through a wall. You will never pug R-4 period. Which means Bioware made an operation that will be hated and likely ignored by 95% of the player base. The only people clearing R-4 HM like you said is those annoying exclusive little NiM raiding group clicks who think every player who hasn't cleared NiM before are beneath them. I truly hope Bioware hurts badly after 7.0 and 7.1. I want them to. It's the only way they will learn. The people who say "You don't need" something immediately loses all respect and credibility in my eyes.
  4. Because Bioware hates when people want artifact grade items. Why make the 330 artifact enhancements the only things that are purple artifact and not the mods, hilts and armoring? It really irritates me and triggers my ocd like no other. I am going to keep my rakata gear and just transfer it between alts like I've always done.
  5. Nope good luck. You got to play MM flashpoints, Vet Ops and NiM operations to even get those mods. Yeah you can thank Bioware. Good luck. I am done with this game.
  6. I have so many words I could type a whole article but in short. My anger is directed at this new operation and the continuing failure of a gearing system. This entire update takes everything we hated about 7.0 and compounds it. Bioware literally doubled down on their entire freaking plan for this update. Despite all of our grievances or complaints. They don't care. And thus I don't care. I am going to let my sub run out and then I will probably only hear about this game when it finally is shut down for good. Like putting a poor beloved animal down after it's been abused by it's owner for years.
  7. Dude Bioware has failed us completely. Give up and save your money. You can save $15 a month by cancelling this garbage today.
  8. Exactly why people who feel the same as me should cancel their subs and find a new MMO to play. Perhaps one who has developers who understand human psychology a bit better and is dedicated to keeping their majority player base satisfied. Unlike Bioware who takes a working system and absolutely destroys it in two updates. 6.0 was a system that many liked. It's why there is so much backlash from people like me and the most of the player base. If 7.0 was such a wonderful freaking revolution. People would be cheering in joy at how cool the new changes were. But look around friend. It's nothing but negative feedback that Bioware 100% deserves.
  9. Brother it's because Swtor is on it's last leg. I'll give it a year or two before it is shut down by EA. I pray it does cause Bioware needs to learn a seriously painful financial lesson.
  10. After what I've seen with this new operation in this "update". After realizing that the only way to get higher level gear is through ONE operation. After realizing that all the time I spent doing NiM runs with groups to get to 330 was meaningless knowing that everyone would be at 330 months later and seeing that 330 rakata gear would be staying at 330. It makes me wonder. WHY DID I GRIND MY LIFE AWAY FOR EIGHT MONTHS ONLY FOR YOU TO MAKE IT ALL WORTHLESS. Why didn't you make 330 rakata gear into 334 or 336 gear? Like you jumped 322 Tionese straight to 330 with 7.1??? That's eight rating levels. By that standard, Rakata gear people earned should be at 338 rating with all the stats afforded to that rating. Now 340 is max rating and the only way to get it is? By playing through one absolutely hellish and somewhat buggy operation that even most prog veteran groups struggle to do. Only the most hardcore NiM raiders seem to run it on veteran mode and clear it. You might as well say it's Veteran mode and NiM mode cause story is just Veteran disguised as a story mode operation. And story isn't even worth playing since Veteran is the only way to get 332, 334 and 340 gear. People who have 330 rakata gear have zero incentive to play R4 story mode since the only gear they can get is 328. I don't know who at Bioware needs to hear this but: 95% of the player base are NOT MASOCISTS. We do not enjoy wasting hours of our life to get one piece of lousy gear. I genuinely think taking away the gearing system of 6.0 was the nail in the coffin for swtor. Eliminating the psychological satisfaction of knowing that no matter what you play. You will get better gear is detrimental to the casual player base. The infamous removal of the renown system. Which was a casual players best friend. Which might I add is the majority of YOUR PROFITS in subscription revenue. If the whole casual base was to cancel subscriptions tomorrow. Swtor would maybe survive for 6 months then run out of revenue. The NiM community IS NOT THE PLAYERBASE. The general player base enjoys content that is fun, fulfilling, challenging but still doable on a consistent DAILY BASIS, we like being able to play conquest, flashpoints AND operations with the possibility of obtaining the highest gear rating just as it was in 6.0 which was 306 (which is now 340 in 7.1). It wasn't easy, it was a grind. But we were not forced to play a specific piece of content to get it. You could've gotten 306 via flashpoints, operations or Pvp. There was no exclusive one path for people to go through. Everything about 7.0 and 7.1 has been incredibly hostile to Pug operation groups, hostile to casual players who pay your damn subscriptions and hostile to people who genuinely don't want to tangle with NiM raid groups. Bioware I think if you continue down this path. You will be well on the road to closing the coffin over the corpse at the wake that was once Swtor. I think after 10 years. You have only one chance to fix this or it's game over. Return us to something like it was in 6.0 or risk losing the whole fan base over the next year or two cause the moment a new Star wars MMO comes out. The moment you have any kind of competition in this franchise. Swtor will die overnight.
  11. The new operation is a complete nightmare. I have wasted hours on the first day and only gotten through one boss. And this is the only way to get 340 gear now. Remember 6.0 where people could play ANY content and still get a pathway to the best gear? You didn't feel forced to play ONE specific kind of content that makes you want to rip your hair out literally. Not only did Bioware ignore all of our complaints on 7.0. But they actually doubled down and amplified the pain by making R4 the ONLY way to get 332, 334, and 340 gear. No implants are not included cause it's TWO pieces of gear. That does not count at all. I give up. I am cancelling my subscription. I waited 8 months after 7.0 to see if Bioware would get it right but it seems they only know how to make things worse. I'm out. There are dozens of other games more worth my time to play and this is not one of them. Good bye Bioware. I hope you learn a painful financial lesson on what happens when you ignore your playerbase.
  12. I just want a remade Darth Revan armor set. One that is like the Jedi Knight Revan set but with the cape, metal chest piece and all the Sith colors he had. The Revan reborn set really doesn't count cause it looks like rags. I'd like to see Darth Revan's outfit as it appeared exactly in Kotor 1.
  13. Really doesn't matter. Just cause EA loses the license doesn't mean they'll throw away an incredibly lucrative product. Especially since there is no other Star Wars MMO on the market right now.
  14. I noticed a giant jump in prices months after they ended the referral system. There were less cartel items on the GTN after that.
  15. It's because they don't care. At all. We should've had a dev stream by now.
  16. I think that is it right there. EA gave them a blank check and Bioware Austin didn't take advantage of it and failed the past 3-4 years of development. Thus EA probably yanked much of their funding so now the developers are just half assing everything. It's a spitting shame cause this game could've been 3 times better off right now if it had the money, passion and talent to drive it.
  17. It's almost like they want people to buy datacrons to level up so they have a full stack of abilities to use so they don't die from boredom...
  18. The players care more about the game than the developers do. That is the problem.
  19. Recommend people watch this by NoblePlays. It highlights exactly why people are frustrated. Link to video:
  20. As of today 07/09/2022. He already has two other Youtubers making videos on the state of Swtor. Damn shame it's come to this in 2022 with this game. 10 years later and here we are....
  21. You really are a Bioware apologist. What are you paying for Quaker???
  22. Lmao not even the developers know when the update will come out. 10 year anniversary my a**. They don't care about this game anymore.
  23. Seriously we have had no live stream or nothing. There are MMO's out there where the devs give monthly streams and updates. People who say Swtor is maintenance mode are lying to us. Swtor is in survival mode and it's slowly dying. It's very depressing.
  24. For the same reasons America is a Republic and China is a Dictatorship. We are both the same people, same needs, same wants and desires. We just interpret life differently and have different views on how life should be lived.
