What a brilliant comment. I'll bet you're a college graduate with an advanced degree and a six-figure salary. Probably own a yacht, plane or helicopter...or any combination of the three. (Of course you don't, but I'm sure you'll lie and tell us these things are all true.) While I'm not necessarily for people tooting their own horns...I actually put a ridiculous amount of time into this game. I can do that without having to worry about a future full of flipping burgers or making cold calls about stupid products. You see, I'm retired military - I did my 20, so now, I can kick back and enjoy the fruits of my labor. Truth be told, your post was so incredibly ignorant and shortsighted...I'd say you're still in high school, or at least at that age. Maybe you couldn't power through four years of secondary education. That would be my guess; this could, however, be one of those very rare cases where I'm wrong about someone. Grow up, kid. You never know what someone else's circumstances are.

I honestly hated the thing at first. In all fairness, however, I hate most things...and I always hate change. That being said, I haven't had any issues with it staying put, and I just close it on each of my characters after the conquest resets. As far as the "forced advertising"...it's no worse than the Cartel Market button at the top of the screen. It's there, it's not in the way, so just ignore it. If it was always open and couldn't be closed, moved or deleted...yeah, different story. With all the things I'd like them to focus on, this bar is very near the bottom of the list. We need a name purge, and we need guild caps either significantly either, or removed altogether. That's just my opinion.

This is an MMO, and in case you're not familiar with that type of game, let me share with you the number one rule for all MMOs: You either adapt, or you find another stomping ground. Hey, there's plenty of things here and there that have been added, or even removed, that I don't like. Overall, however, the experience is still good. To me, it's not worth leaving, so I'll adapt. Hey, I heard a rumor that Disney is going to stop throwing garbage at us, and that Jar-Jar Abrams is finally going to have an idea that's actually original AND good. Clearly, I don't put much stock into rumors. Mind you, what you're posting isn't a "rumor." Reading something on a website that scares you into the hellish nightmare of a thought that (*gasp*) you might actually have to play a different game...yeah, that's not a rumor. That's just some knucklehead posting nonsense on the internet...kinda like what you did. People here and there have been saying since 2011 that the end is nigh. Yawn.

I put in my application to join...then quickly changed my mind when I saw that it was more of a job application than a guild application. Their requirements for events and participation are definitely not meant for anyone who has a life outside of this game. Sorry guys, but I have a spouse, kids, animals, and responsibilities apart from playing a computer game. Love the game, but...seriously, lighten up. Glad I chose not to join. No regrets.
