  1. This testing was done between the 3rd and 5th. Times stated are all PST as I am located on the Oregon Coast, USA. I am not sure what issues are due to the 7.2.1 update vs access to the new Cloud Server, but I did not have the problems stated here before we got access to the cloud server, even after the 7.2.1 update (main problem is game suddenly crashing every time I try to change graphics settings, especially resolution.) I greatly prefer playing with ReShade as I don't like the general darkness of everything (wish at least the Gamma setting went higher); but I tested both with ReShade latest version installed (both running and not running to see if it made a difference, it didn't speed-wise) and tried it uninstalled (some load times are faster with it uninstalled because of the loading of the shaders, but once loaded, speed and responsiveness seem unaffected (and unfortunately had nothing to do with the crashes I am now having when changing graphics settings on any server, not just the test server). Anyway, here are my comparisons. Equipment Cable Internet (Spectrum-300mbps) Tested both WiFi and Wired Lenovo 720 15IKB, 16GB Ram, SSD, Nvidia 1050 2GB Ram Created new character on test server. Character creation did not allow me to use the Zabrak or Chiss or Pureblood even though I have those open for creating a consular shadow on other servers, but it was fast and smooth at 4K resolution and loading into starting cinematic took less than 5 seconds and while cinematic started out with a little jerkiness it quickly smoothed out. Tython landing cinematic after pressing space bar began and played through smoothly. Outfitters seems to work properly at least while I am only level three and just adding a couple of items to wear. The mini map overlay seems to be working accurately showing my goal to finish my completed tasks as well as my ongoing mission. Once completing a couple of tasks getting up to level four I decided to try accessing collections which seemed to work properly having access to my collected remnant sets, armor sets from the Cartel market, weapons from seasons rewards as well as from the Cartel market, color crystals which of course I could not use because I wasn't to level 10 yet, access to my mounts with the same issue because of not being the proper level yet, tunings are accessible and usable, titles collected were accessible and usable, flare is accessible and I was able to accept a creature companion though because I'm still level four I could not yet use it, was able to accept and use and summon Darth Hexid as a companion. My in-game mail of welcome gifts and Friends of SWTOR and community event rewards and such all are available. The preferred friends bundle and the jump start bundle both operate correctly and the complementary experience boost of 1 hour from a five pack activated correctly. Running around has been relatively smooth with slightly over 30 people active on Tython at the moment but upon entering the temple for the first time right after the codex entry triggered there was about a 3 second freeze/pause and then things continue to as normal, the freeze was only in graphics but not in audio. AFK - Character select screen, tried Warzone and GSF next From clicking play on the character select screen it took 30 seconds for my character to load up on fleet. I was able to smoothly use the heroic transports for a couple of the course on heroics even though I was swinging up a bit things seemed to work correctly as far as my level and the enemies I was fighting in the area and switching my K'lor slug from heal to tank to beat a couple of enemies being it's only level one slug worked. Tried a Warzone, took a couple minutes to pop and then less than 30 seconds to load in. I forgot to turn my graphics down so I'll try again with lower settings, I was enjoying the visuals in PVE so going into Warzone in 4k with med-high graphics setting causes horrible lag and me dying again and again from people flashing in and out of view all around; warzones are generally a pretty terrible experience for me because even when wearing 336 armor I get killed so fast I can't do much. I played through, as long as there were less than 4 other players on the screen then I could almost see what was happening. I will try it again with my graphics turned down. Went into galactic Starfighter, popped in less than a minute I think, and that loaded me in within about 15 seconds and the controls seemed very squirrely as in aiming around seem to move my ship way too quickly but I am not very experienced with galactic Starfighter but it seemed steering was faster than usual. I couldn't really remember how to play so after fumbling around I figured out again how to get closer to everyone so they could kill me easier; the controls were so squirrely I think I managed to shoot myself. Missiles never seemed to fire, but doing the fancy twirl-around-roll-over thing was highly successful at crashing me into rocks and stuff. I will try GSF again with my graphics turned down as well, maybe that will help; otherwise I need to fry up a couple eggs and some sausage on my laptop to cool it down. Wish the pretty graphics didn't heat up my Nvidia 1050 so much! Wow. After GSF had to AFK again - back to Character select screen From pressing play on the character's select screen it took less than 13 seconds for my character to be fully loaded in after a reboot and logging in although there are under 30 people on planet this time. 9:15 in the evening instead of around 4:00 in the afternoon. Ping Tests 4-4-23 AM 7:30 to 7:45 Tulak Horde server from Oregon USA 175 to 180 milliseconds 7:45 to 8:00 Leviathan server from Oregon USA 183 to 336 milliseconds 8:00 to 8:15 Darth malgus server from Oregon USA 185 to 297 milliseconds 8:00 to 8:15 Star Forge server from Oregon USA 107 to 116 milliseconds 8:15 to 8:30 Satele Shan server from Oregon USA 107 to 138 milliseconds 8:15 to 8:30 Shae Vizla server from Oregon USA 167 to 290 milliseconds So far, multiple attempts at changing the graphics settings, specifically the resolution completely crash the game with a hard freeze that keeps the game overlaid over other windows. When this happens the game will not close with the x button or right clicking and choosing close window and task manager is hidden behind the frozen window and therefore inaccessible (the game is always on top). Esseles Flashpoint Story Mode (tried to group find for Veteran but I was only one on the test server! LOL) operated as expected even when I had to afk in the middle and restart at the beginning. Support droid worked correctly. Unless I am missing something, in completing this flashpoint and defeating all the bosses it shows I completed the achievement "Ironed Out"and that there should have been a 20 Cartel Coin reward which of course I expect to be forfeit to this test server whether held or spent but it was not awarded. Not sure if that is by design at this time or a bug? Ping Tests 4-4-23 PM 2:00 to 2:15 in the afternoon Satele Shan was between 107 and 128 milliseconds from Newport Oregon 2:00 to 2:15 in the afternoon Shae Vizla between 160 and 207 milliseconds from Newport Oregon Again attempted a resolution change from 1920 by 1080 up to 4K and it crashed and froze and does not Auto-revert. Forcing the program closed and running it again shows the change in resolution took effect and operation seems back to normal. Download auto-started again? After successfully restarting the game after half a dozen to a dozen crashes doing testing trying to figure out the resolution change problem on April 4th then I finally shut the game down and rebooted the computer and on the morning of the 5th went to start the game and it started the entire 38 GB download again. This is the third time it has started downloading the update since it was launched. While this took less than 10 minutes, still annoying. After that choosing play to run resulted in an error that says the program encountered an internal error and will exit error code C5 fail to load game assets please contact customer support. I restarted the game client again and it is starting the download yet again. This time after 20 minutes it still has 12gb to go! After 24 minutes I am able to click Play and after about a minute the server select screen came up with no servers in it. I quit the game, restarted, after about 20 seconds my last used character select screen came up. Left to the sever select screen to do logging on all servers and ping test (I switched to a wired connection). Ping Tests 4-5-23 AM 8:30 to 8:45 Tulak Horde server from Oregon USA 180 to 190 milliseconds, 20 seconds to load character 8:30 to 8:45 Leviathan server from Oregon USA 185 to 200 milliseconds, 40 seconds to load character Connection crashed to server lost showing servers but saying "unable to retrieve server list", pressed ok button, selected Darth Malgus server, got new error message "Connection error has occurred..." Clicked ok and tried again, got a new error "Unable to retrieve server list" so clicked ok, selected Darth Malgus again and it worked! Character select screen loaded correctly, clicked play and after 1 minute I saw my hud/gui but only black screen behind, then at 1 min 45 seconds my character was fully loaded. 8:45 to 9:00 Darth malgus server from Oregon USA 180 to 215 milliseconds 8:45 to 9:00 Star Forge server from Oregon USA 105 to 211 milliseconds, 60 seconds to load character - big change from Malgus Imp side having 110+ people on Fleet to Pub Side Star Forge with only 10 people on Fleet 9:00 to 9:15 Satele Shan server from Oregon USA 105 to 198 milliseconds, 45 seconds to load character, 40+ people Pubside Fleet 9:00 to 9:15 Shae Vizla server from Oregon USA 166 to 378 milliseconds, 50 seconds to load character, 7 people on Pubside Fleet Tried to change resolution down to 1920x1080 before quitting and it crashed the game to unresponsive again.
  2. Supposed to be down for 5 hours or less, in my experience it is usually less. So from now, there is potential for another 2hours 15min of downtime. If things go well that is...otherwise the potential is...well...unlimited...LOL
  3. Uninstalled at 5am, started fresh download of 7.2.1 from SWTOR.com logged in as paid subscriber. Windows 10 Lenovo machine, a few years old, I do have a security key 2FA. Install went smoothly of entire 38GB download, ran the game, got server select screen with strange notes of numbers on all server names and buttons loc1, loc3, that kind of thing. Figured servers likely weren't updated yet so I completely quit out of the game. Waited about 30min and tried the game again. It downloaded the entire package again! This time I get the full server list, looking normal, but all servers are offline. Quit the game, ran it again after 2 minutes, DID NOT have to download again, offline server list loaded up as normal again.
  4. That's it. The Boots and Gauntlets in the standard Mythran set will inherit dye colors from the chest dye but have no dye slot of their own. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
  5. Followup - I had to go through another 13 before I finally got the schematic. With that ratio vs the claimed %chance I am really not looking forward to progressing another toon in Crafting augments. Very much looking forward to help/fix/suggestion please.
  6. I understand there has to be some randomness, but how many fails are we supposed to live with?! It takes over 11 minutes each for me to make the Critical Augment 73 to try and deconstruct it for the Advanced Critical Augment 74 Schematic. It says every time that I have 20% research chance, that is 1 in 5!!! So I have tried singles, tried 3-4 at a time, and even did 10 at once; no schematic. This was on my Bounty Hunter, L75, switched to my L75 Vanguard and tried with Shield Augment 73, Deconstructed 3 and no schematic, so now I am waiting for more to finish crafting. Over 50 total tried and no success. This is prohibitively frustrating; and I am finding the same sentiment among MANY other players. Is there something we can do to help the odds? Oh my companions are at Influence 50. Help! And Thank you...
  7. L-75 Shadow, got all the XP and Renown but all 6 still show incomplete for the Seasons Daily, Logged out and back in, also Quit game and re-entered, still shows not complete. How do we apply to get awarded the Seasons points for these things we completed? Thank you in advance; LOVE the new content! Just need some clean up done.
  8. Thank you; definitely says in progress to PTS, didn't choose a live server, but thank you for the heads up! It looks like the option to transfer to the PTS may be disabled now, unfortunately that was not the case last week.
  9. I finally decided to try the Test Server. I tried doing the character transfer and it seemed like nothing happened, and I couldn't find any way to check any kind of progress so I just thought it failed and tried again. Forum said Test Server was up, then down, then up then down; and I didn't think the option was supposed to be available to transfer if it was down, so I tried again at different times on different days but never saw any form of confirmation or progress (same character tried every time). Just went on the website and clicked Character Transfer and saw I have 6 in progress?! Can someone help me clean this up please? Thank you!

Since I maxxed (Legendary Reputation, not just for the week) reputation with all 3 Swoop gangs and my maxxed my token amounts I went and spent a bunch on a few mounts and a bunch of decorations. I went and ran the dailies and weeklies for the event with 2 different toons and didn't gain a single token that would all me to purchase more Stronghold Decorations from the Swoop Reputation Vendors. It seems I am amassing reputation trophies in my inventory but because I can not accept them due to max reputation, I can't get money to purchase from the event any more. If there is something I missed, please point it out; I sure would love to be able to buy more decorations and buy more of the mounts! Sorry if this is addressed elsewhere, I couldn't find it. Thank you for your time.
  12. http://fav.me/ddz6lvm Keeping track of which characters are training which Crew Skills can be a pain, especially for newer players. It's even harder when you are F2P or Preferred and so have only 2 Skills per Toon available (Like "Wait, which toon does Underworld Trading and which one does Artifice?") So you send out 3 Companions on Archaeology Missions and each companion is a different level, so one will finish in 7 minutes, the second in 12 minutes, and the third in 17 minutes (times not accurate or to scale, purely representational) and so wouldn't it be nice to go to the Character Selection HUD and see "2 Pending" showing that they aren't done yet, go ahead and play another Toon for a bit...

Many people use various methods to build up funds on systems like Google Play Store which can be used for various "In App Purchases"; for example I have over $16 built up by doing surveys through Google Play Rewards App. This is real world money that can be used to pay for Apps in the Play Store OR to pay for "In App Purchases" so how about adding a tab in the Security Key App (which is already tied to my account and already has access to my Google Play Account, both of which are secure) so I can use my Google Play balance to purchase Cartel Coins for the associated account? And then what if ALL current sale items on the Cartel Market (which someone usually has to log in to the game to see) were available for ADDITIONAL 30%-off purchase THROUGH THE APP ONLY. Another possibly beneficial addition to the app could be an option to turn on Character email notification to the Security Key App. This option could benefit those who are waiting for something to sell on the GTN and get a notification email that then alerts them on their phone so they know to log in to the game. This could potentially be beneficial for Guild Leaders as well who don't want to try to rely on Discord to try to reach people for Ops or other group efforts. Of course for this addition to the App it would be ideal to have on-off switches for what notifications to receive (guild emails, GTN sale, GTN expired, Friend emails, or how about completed Crew Skills Missions?!)
  14. Welcome back to the game! Here's how to "fix" your Launcher size (almost tempted to ask why you are looking at the Launcher long enough to care, but maybe you are reading news/community stuff there? anyway...here's this part of your request) The Launcher resolution is OUTSIDE the game so it is configured by (and affected by) Windows (assuming here that you are using a Windows PC, if not, then hopefully this will at least give a clue of the concept of what is happening and how to fix it. The "issue" is with High DPI handling due to the new high-resolution capabilities of screens (4k+) and this can be controlled in the application settings from THE ICON that launches the launcher. Hopefully it's just an icon on your desktop or in your quicklaunch so you simply do the following: 1) Right mouse click on the icon (don't run it), and you should get a menu 2) Choose "Properties" from the menu (probably at the bottom) 3) From the tabs at the top choose "Compatibility" 4) At the bottom of the resulting configuration window push the "Change high DPI settings" button 5) At the bottom of the new window check the box for "High DPI scaling override" 6) Leave (or set) the dropdown choice to "Application" 7) Press "OK" 8) Press "Apply" 9) Run your game and notice your massive Launcher I tested this and noticed immediate difference, but later realized that the difference was not as noticeable when my Windows UI DPI was set at full res of 4k(I had it set lower before), so I did more testing and found that IF YOU'RE RUNNING WINDOWS AT 4K then you may find these settings affect things as well (tested and I was able to enlarge the Launcher again at the 4k res. At step 5, first be sure the upper check-box "Program DPI" is NOT CHECKED At Step 6 I changed "Application" to "System (enhanced)" because in my Windows Display Settings I have the "Scale and Layout" setting at "150%" I do not know if this will affect how your Interface Editor will look, I hope so, but the rest of the game looked the same to me. I did not check the Interface Editor yet due to time, will do so maybe later.

To me the eye-slit is kind of the "clincher" in 'Mandalorian style' helmets, but the other details definitely play a part; for example I was playing with a Sabine Wren armor setup and the eyes/face of your shown helmet are closest to hers, as are the ones on the Clansman armor mentioned by the other reply. I won't go so far as to say the fin is "ugly", but then I am comparing to the Praetorian and the Craftable helmets with EVEN LARGER AND UNEVEN FINS LOL. So, I had to settle on the one with the closest eyes that ALSO has the closest side-gear (antenna/eyepiece/knobs/whatever, hopefully not just a block). Anyway... Your best bet by far is going to be Imp Side, probably Bounty Hunter because of the massive range of armor (of various weights) that looks Mandalorian style. Here are screenshots of all the helmets I was able to find both on GTN, and at one vendor (There is a 'Hunter' helmet with the Bounty Hunter reputation vendor down in the Bazaar but it looks nothing like what you are looking for IMO) http://fav.me/ddz3phl
  17. Thank you! I will look into what the changing instances does and then give it a try. I have only done it once when asked to by someone trying to group up with me. I am curious now how many instances there are and if it's something I can permanently about or just wait till it happens again and then do it. Anyway, I have much to learn I know but never would have thought of this thank you!
  18. Thank you for the speculation, it seems to possibly work well with the suggestion of the next reply, to change instances. I have only ever done that once when I was asked to, and I have no idea what the Alliance stuff you talked about is but I do know I have much more to learn and that there may be a workaround for the issue I am having so thank you!

This question is for my understanding of what MAY be part of a bug report I just posted involving unkillable infected in the Rakghoul tunnels; but I want to know why they are attacking in the first place, especially from such long distances. Pay close attention as one of them aggros AT ME even though there is another player BETWEEN me and the enemy! I have read multiple threads in here about "threat"; but they all seem to be talking about battle/tanking/healing and such, not just walking around. Video showing variance between 5 characters, both light and dark side, Levels 25-75 represented, showing problem enemies in different areas, uploaded to YouTube Issue Seems to not exist with Level 75 characters, tested with Sage, Mercenary, and Shadow (this one is in the video) Level 25 Mercenary is killed so often and fast I was unable to even complete the Raklings mission with that character. Issue does not seem to be with any Rakghouls, ONLY with various Infected. One example shown in video has my character with only 15k max health hit with a surprise single shot of over 11k damage! resulting in me being instakilled, but I had just jumped off the edge as I was running from another enemy. Thank you in advance for your time. I know the video could seem long, averaging 5 min per character, but screenshots would not properly represent the differences in distance to enemies, when they react, how they act, and how some enemies vary from others in the same areas.

  21. Ok I see where you (and others) are coming from on that, so I edited the OP in a way that hopefully properly represents what I was trying to say. (In my opinion the word "seems" changed the import from accusation to possibility, even if likely, so thank you for clarifying how it "sounded" to you and obviously others.) Relevant changes are: The design of the Wild Smuggler armor set shows what appears to be blood leaking from the crotch area when certain secondary dyes are applied (anything with yellow in it) Yellow and Orange are the worst, but Browns and Greens can show it up as well. The "blood" pattern is in a very distinct area visible from both the front and back and is NOT entire panels that are just 'taking the dye incorrectly'. (Only calling it "blood" because it only seems to show up in variations of red) In my opinion this looks far too specific to be a mistake, but maybe I'm wrong. I find it disturbing this armor is pitched as a "female" armor in the Cartel Market which could show someone may have a serious lack of sensitivity to life as a female.
  22. You should probably re-read my original post; not only are the Devs NOT accused of anything, the suggestion and question is if it was a specific designer. As I have a bit of graphics background myself, both 2d and 3d, I know that textures and clipping can cause some strange and bad, or even funny effects; but this is strangely specific. Rant: "a spell of ranting; a tirade." or "speak or shout at length in a wild, impassioned way." Really?! Haven't seen a good example of either of these in this thread...IMO The insensitivity I take issue with is NOT that every dye wasn't tested; that is probably unreasonable, though testing at least the 3 primary colors seems like it would be reasonable...just my opinion...but when customer service is alerted to something that is clearly not acceptable and could very well be handled BEFORE it possibly becomes a bigger issue and essentially relegates it to "we'll get to it when we get to it; to me that is a problem...again, just my opinion, not a rant. ;-)
  23. I hope you are correct; the reason I am not so sure is because the dye colors it happens with and the pattern are pretty specific...it does not happen with all dyes, so it isn't a modeling/texturing error or it would be consistent right? Or am I missing something?
