  1. Hiring monkeys is right. It seems that ever since Bioware got bought out by EA the quality of their games is just not there anymore. The latest Player race The Nautolans look like squids with down syndrome and look nothing compared to the ones that were professionally modeled as NPC's in the game. Even as a modder for Skyrim who updated the models from the older version of the game on Nexusmods I could do a way better job and I'm not even college-educated. Now, these events are getting all screwed up because EA is outsourcing new devs constantly for cheaper costs to save money. Been playing for a long time and I think I'm Unsubscribing and Moving on. This is just getting ridiculous.
  2. Should be fixed as of 2020. But It's not like other missions were you just automatically pick up the object from the crates. You first will click on it and your character will destroy the top lid but make sure to look inside the containers and right-click on them. The ones with holocrons in them glow a green so just right click on the green stuff inside the box.
  3. What kind of "developers" has EA hired for SWTOR I wonder? As an ex designer for Fallen Earth one of the requirements for our jobs was to understand the framework and engine you were working with. When I was in my early 20's It took me 7 1/2 years to get my bachelor's degree in computer engineering, computer science, or software engineering at the University of Toronto. It's amazing to me you don't even know how to troubleshoot your own framework on the HeroEngine your working on. HeroEngine is one of the most userfriendly engines. It has serverside technology like Unity It even updates everything in real-time making it easier to find problems on the fly, even beginners can design games and decompile their projects with it.

So many elitist mouthbreathing gamers in these forums that just sit a play swtor but act like they have a degree in computer engineering and are a developer and know what's involved while getting all triggered because of a guy making a suggestion that the suggestion forum is supposed to be for. It's no wonder why the developers don't even waste their timing reading these threads.
  5. I appreciate you trying to help out. But As an ex designer of Fallen Earth. I don't know if you realize it's been 4 years -this game is on life support. The team is very small and the only thing they would be able to update would be doing server updates for the monthly events and fixing smaller bugs related to newer content. Posting in that thread of yours is not labeled properly for this issue because it's titled TARIS BONUS SERIES. Not to mention you got one response 1 year ago by a community manager to get player's hopes up that hasn't even been active for along time. Bioware as a company was outsourced along time ago by EA, all the people who worked on this game don't anymore - Those 4 - 6-year-old bug report stickys are from people who don't work there anymore. Customer support is run by EA and they hire foreign workers at a cheaper price to work in those positions. Like a call center. As for the bug report forum - The Q&A Droid is just there to make players keep playing and spending money. "It will be fixed in the future patch" It's called marketing. That's what a community manager's job is. They are PR people like Todd Howard or J Allen Brack from Activision/Blizzard. For any MMORPG project If you ever see an actual developer responding to bug reports in forums for thats when they are taken seriously and things are getting done, but if you see threads that have been sitting there for years that usually means the project is on life support. I know this from personal experience. It's why I no longer work with AA development teams or in the gaming industry anymore.
  6. As an ex designer of Fallen Earth I can say this simply is not entirely true. When your on a team of people for a project you already learn everything from different engines, computer engineering is also important to learn while going to college when you learn how to code and design games. Especially if your working on a team with engineers who coded their own engine from the ground up. That is one of the requirements for even getting the job. The only time I ever saw developers who didn't know how to troubleshoot their own projects was in the independent development field because some of them were young, not very experienced or didn't have a degree. The SWTOR team from day 1 Dec 20, 2011 - now in 2020 always left things out in the game, especially a lot of the codex entries even when the game had the resources and time to fix them. I doubt it had anything to do with money at the time, but more too do with things that were more important to them. Today it could be used as an excuse because this project is not bringing in a lot of resources for the company to further the productivity of the project. Overall Bioware never had the intention of ever fixing everything or filling in the missing content that was supposed to be there, to begin with. The bug report system would of been there piling up and they simply ignored them. Even as a designer myself I know It doesn't take 9 years to fill in content that was supposed to be there at release. If they did they would of done it by now.
