  1. Ive been making frequent complaints for a long time, here. But not wasting my energy now. There is no pointin lecturing, requesting, praising, criticizing, etc, any thing the inept folk at EA and Bioware have done or haven't done, but trust me, I get it! EABW has to do literally nothing now and they know it. But again, I totally get it! I cannot believe the poor choices they've made over the years. And then to top it off with a massive deception where it was insinuated that switching weapons, even mid fight, would switch your class. Instead we got this... joke... of a dual class system. Im still trying to figure out why force sensitive babies can use push and pull but my Jedi Master is so stupid he forgets how to use certain skills depending on what "class" he is. On the other hand... look at what EA and BW have released in the last 15ish years. These are 2 companies whose quality has completely collapsed. What they release these days now feel like the horrible games from places like Pyranna Bytes (spelling?) and other devs/publishers who keep releasing poorly done ambitious games. *coughs Anthem coughs*
  2. I love the changes (mostly) from over the years, and I know I whine a lot about what i think should be done, but I think this is ACTUALLY a viable list of solutios for the economy issues. Hear me out, "Summer of Fun" style sale. Also, you could conceivably keep people out of other games with such a sale. --If you don't believe me on following, have the mods check the chat logs in fleet, starter planets, and even in ship-chat frin today. New people and poor players are pissed and can't afford your ridiculous taxes and fees. Why would you price out people we need to keep this game going when you abandon it in a couple-few months? Rude. But seriously, check the logs. Furthermore, why would players like me want to spend any more with what you've done? Which seems arbitrary btw. Players are reporting different fees and taxes for the same item or for mailing to themselves etc. You still aren't helping new players get fashion armors or mods etc. because people will hoard their creds now; maybe even their items that would normally be put up for sale. Then, they take their hoarded creds and will STILL buy up the stuff in the GTN. Because guess what! New players and poorer players STILL can't afford any of the expensive stuff, but now you've added fake taxes and more fees. LOL! Really? Do the following: --Put EVERY THING that has EVER been sold, back in Cartel. Set a Cartel Coin price for armors from hypercrates. (and mounts and other stuff of course). At least do the stuff that was for sale in the Cartel, if you wont do the hypercrate idea. Have it run from June 21st ish to Sept 21st ish. Or have it run until the prices lower. Dont set a date and tell us players that the sale will run until prices drop to a satisfactory level. I mean, companies do stuff like this and dont tell details all the time. So who cares what the price range is that the devs want, so long as the devs hit that mark and can then stop the sale, right? Obviously i dont mean who cares what the devs want. Hope that is clear. I mean it doesnt matter so long as the prices are monitored and then the sale can stop. --speaking of hypercrates; up the odds significantly in the gamble gacha packs. Im a whale. Not even dissing you for having gacha. But for the summer, up the odds. Ive been burned by the crate before, but only once. But that means others have to. Imagine someone who doesn't have much money finally saving up or just finally deciding to use their hard earned cash to buy a hypercrate case and they get nothing but the ugliest worth nothing armors, weapons, mounts, pets etc.. Id be pretty relunctant to ever gamble on SWTOR again, ya know? Now me? Im a fool, and buy them from time to time despite being burned before, but most people won't, and i rarely do it. Ill buy an outfit directly 99.99999 percent of the time before using your hypercrate non sense. --OOH!!! For the force's sake, will you stop these vile prices on some of the cartel-weapons?! That would help. They cost more than outfits, some times MORE than double, some times even TRIPLE! Doods. Why though? 5400 coins for a freakin lightsaber hilt is absurd. Even if it is sparkly lightning. --This one is important: Have integrity please. You sell items in the Cartel that have an in-game twin or something so close it might as well be. Ive learned to check the 3rd party SWTOR sites, but others have no idea. Not cool, for real. Mark items that have an in-game twin, or add some stuff to the armors you sell in the cartel. Im surprised this hasn't been addressed by the EU gaming regulators. For real lol. (im not in EU ftr)
  3. LOL so many people pooping their pants over this. Idiots who are certain of what this change will mean are so funny and extreme. One camp says durrrr the writing's on the wall the game is going in to maintenance mode, the other camp is excited and thinks that when devs go to smaller companies they bring big ideas and success with them. Non sense. Very few examples of that and most games usually flop when that style of new company or change occurs. I just went full whale mode on this game. yeah ill lose my ish if it goes in to maintenance mode soon, considering what ive spent on (cosmetics, dont worry the only boosts ive gotten in stats are from color crystals) the cartel lately. Sadly, I can't think of a single MMO that changed developers and became more successful or got better after the change. Can any one else think of one? Sure could use the confidence facade until the truth emerges down the road lol. Come on... any one? Please?!
  4. Instead of the traditional Star Wars fanfare theme that plays during the opening word scrawl, play the Imperial March or maybe it's called Darth Vader's theme; whatever it's called , you should play that for Empire side. And hey! Add a large ship at the end that flies over the camera! Before any one gets upset about the notion of breaking such a tradition regarding the music, SWTOR has already taken liberties and has its own music, so who cares if they change the opening theme for the Empire. It would be to match the 2nd most recognizable star wars song after the main theme, for god's sake.
  5. TL;DR (no rant before topic ideas lol) please check the numerated ideas and ignore the fluff if ya want I know this is a topic that has been done a million times, but I figure the more that ask, the more likely the devs will listen. Despite what SOME say, they DO listen to us quite frequently. So all you nay-saying forum trolls who literally spend all your time here instead of playing the game or doing, well, any thing productive, that come on to posts to cry about any notion of changes any one comes up with, can suck it. "durrr theyll never do this or that so stop asking durrrr". 2 years later, SWTOR adds or changes exactly what we wanted thus proving forum troll-pigs wrong. Any who, not to get off on a tangent here, so i give you; the topic! 1.) To reiterate a previous complaint, the way the robo face race was handled is ridiculous. "Cyborg" my sweet patootie. Having a couple of pieces inbedded in your face hardly makes one a cyborg. The parts should be available to ALL species too. And why tf is facial hair tied to the cyborg parts? Oh you lost an eye? NO BEARD FOR YOU! What kind of non-sense logic is that lol? Same with the Mirakula options, which suck btw. Why, after 12 years, do we still have the same lame eye covers? Most of them don't even look good with outfits because of your ridiculous restrictions. 2.) I remember the devs once using the excuse that some of the alien races just didn't offer enough variety. What a bunch of lies. That is on the devs to make options. The Star Wars universe has provided. You can make as many alterations as you want to a race. But you CHOOSE not to give us options. And almost no one even plays the last race added ffs lol. You really missed the mark on that one. So many races people wanted and you give us a squid. 3.) The other excuse was langauge gaps. Umm, excuse me? Have you devs even watched any Star Wars stuff before? Many aliens speak basic, and if they can't, there are translator mouth pieces that allow peoples' language to be translated. What is this; 2012 or something? Besides, I guarantee most people wouldn't care if their alien race character, like a Wookie, spoke like, well, a freakin wookie! This game's character creator is horrible outdated. 4.) I get we start out as a padawan, and I get that in SW lore, training an older person who is force sensitive is generally looked down upon by the Jedi. Im sure the Sith dgaf though. Regardless, can we get a freakin older person face already that isn't some liver spot / sun spot covered nasty looking face with wrinkles around the eyes only. What the hell is that anyways lol? 5.) And lastly, the ridiculousness of how eye brows and moles are handled. Both are handled the same way! You are forced in to a certain type of eye brow, and get screwed and forced to have ugly moles, based on the "complexion" you choose. Was this done by a foreigner or someone who doesn't speak English? Do you know what complexion means lol? Good god. I am a first generation american and I guarantee my "straight-off-the-boat" family members can use complexion correctly. What a joke. And if I make my character's facial hair and head hair white, then his eye brows better damn well have that option. Or am I dumb and not seeing it after 12 years of playing this game? Doubt on the latter. I just don't understand why you cheapskate devs who are working for 2 companies known strictly for their bad business practices and horrible design choices, can't just pull your heads out of your rears and make this game so much better. You're just waiting for Disney to tell you sunset the game, arent ya? That is the only explanation for why there has been almost NO change in 12 years on so many things. But hey, at least you monetized hairstyles and such to hurt the poors who play the game. Im a whale, I admit, but lately im starting to wonder if it is worth putting any more money in to a game whose devs and publisher clearly SOLELY care about profit and seemingly have ZERO plans to do any thing cool. It's just make weak expansions and get paid. I get it; I understand that notion, but not for it to be your ONLY priority at the expense of quality of your product. P.S.: Ill never stop harping on this issue: GIVE ALL FORCE USERS PUSH, PULL, AND LEAP!!!
  6. 1.) it's been 12 years. 2.) I can't believe you think companies should continue to submit to costly updates in order to support obsolete OS' like windows 7 Hey, can EA BW please make it so i can play this on my windows 95 gateway computer and log on to my compuserve internet.
  7. Oh my bad. We do have ONE good storyline that doesn't make non force users look pointless in SWTOR. The (not gonna spoil) thing that is dealt with that IS force related in that storyline was really good and reminds us that non force users can be as dangerous as sith/jedi. Cant be upset about that, but for real, entire EXPANSIONS are based around force users and the non force users feel like after thoughts added in so they wouldn't leave out the players who play non force users.
  8. I mean, the non force classes are basically worthless in the latest updates over the past few years. Not even good as support characters backing up every thing going on. So, my hope is that we can get an expansion or 2, or an expansion with a later update included or something, based on the non force classes. Obviously, force users wouldn't be left out of the content, btw. Any who, Im not here with some great story or any thing for each class, I just would like to feel like my non force users weren't useless; which is how they feel in the latest content. (over last few years) Please and thanks!
  9. Not to mention the other violence in the game. Are you seriously not letting me name my character Scrap Yard because of "crap". It says it's an invalid name. Unreal lol. Please tell me that ain't why.
  10. Simple solution to fixing the LIE the devs told players regarding how dual classing would work: 1.) Divide force and tech users as it is. 2.) Each has 4 base skills A) Tech would have a grenade for knockdown/knock back, a cable that all bounty hunters and I would assume most saavy tech warriors would have to pull enemies to them and use also as a hold skill at a certain range, like within 3 feet, and a leap-to-enemy skill of course. B) Force users would have push, pull, leap, and throw saber. These are basic things literally force sensitive babies can do. Im so tired of this. It has been 12 years and you haven't come up with a solution or even lore explaining why force users are so inept. And letting us use push and pull in cutscenes but not all classes get it in game is ludicrous. And again, enough with your weapon restrictions. The animations are all there for any tech to use any gun and still use the same "ammo" that class uses coming out of a different class' gun. Why wont you do things like this? This game is a bloated mess in a good way. There is no "balance" and the lore is all over the place. Just let us freakin play like ACTUAL star wars characters in the warrior roles they are in. Imagine actually thinking you can take on an entire army with a pistol but you're a smuggler by trade. Stop this madness. Your designs make no sense.
  11. Not as obnoxious as your problem, but last week my card got rejected so I used a different one. The first card had and STILL HAS plent o money. It's my regular checking account. Where my work checks get deposited ffs lol. Any who, the other card worked fine, but now SWTOR wont let me use the 1st card for any thing. This is beyond ridiculous. I dont want to have to keep refilling my savings account because I have to use it for this game. This is THE ONLY game, company or any other entity that has done this to me. They are lucky this is the only gig in town, because Id leave for another SW mmo in a millisecond. It's time for star wars to adopt the top down action RPG model (Path of Exile and Diablo are the most well known example of this style of course, so that is what i meant)
  12. So, re introduce stuff that is now rare. It's pretty much the only to fix the inflation issue. Supply and demand baby! Hear me out. Tons of players have quit in 12 years and their items will forever remain in a binary oblivion (don't know if the binary thing is true lol); but seriously, we won't get those items back in rotation. People also rage delete their stuff when quitting. People accidentally delete their stuff too. People like me have tons and tons of rare expensive items. Ive been around on and off since early acces. But guess what? I like those items lol. They are bound now. So they can't be sold. And of course, all the "retired" items that have been in rotation in game and in the cartel in the past. I have no idea what kind of knob would approve the pricing on the weapons in the Cartel Market, but wow. What the hell is that about? Essentially 30 dollars or more for many weapons in there. That is laughable. Been that way since it was first introduced im pretty sure. Absurd. If we want more of those items in the GTN, stop selling things like weapons for twice, some times 3x as much as an entire outfit for a character or mount, and even services offered by EA BW. 600 cartel coins for the final race i had locked (squidheads). 4800 divided by 6 is 8. So that means it is 8x more expensive to unlock an entire race and all the work that came with making that race in development, than it is to buy like a lightsaber that doesn't even have a cool animation or something unique about it. Yall are trippin. I cant possibly be the only person who thinks this way, and Im a whale. Any SWTOR employee on the forums with the company's permission can check to see that Im, frankly, a ridiculous whale. You bring out a new outfit, ill likely buy it lol. Ahem. Aaaaany who, we all want the GTN to even out. Taxing people wont fix that. And, despite there being raids and all kinds of other events and things to do and stuff to run in SWTOR. But so many people ignore flashpoints, raiding, etc. so there is a lack of stuff on the GTN. And as I said in whining number 2 post that I made, it isn't detering "gold" (credits in SWTOR obviously) farmers/buyers. And scammers are making pure profit off their ill gotten gains, so even if you went nuts and had a 55 percent tax on player transactions through mail, GTN or in person trade, it still doesnt hurt the scammer. Just hurts the rest of us. Not cool. Oh and new people. Did EA:BW even think about that? Arbitrary taxation and a weird hub to do all transactions. Oh im sure that won't deter new players at all. Especially not ones from games that may have taxes, but didn't decide to do whatever non sense yall are talking about doing. Easy fix. Reintroduce stuff or be tyrants and put a TEMPORARY! cap on what you can charge for an item, until stuff in the GTN steadies. Because if there is ONE complaint i see multiple times, LITERALLY every single day, is accessibility of cool armors and weaponry etc. because items that once cost 5 mill on the GTN now cost 448 billion. Yes. BILLION! Ok sorry for the long post. Toodles. May the force be with you or something.
  13. For example, having fast travel not work while in a COMPLETED "dungeon" or other indoor area is absurd. Either let our mounts work after the place is complete, or allow fast travel to work after conditions are met, such as finishing the area. And no, the solution is NOT to respawn enemies more quickly or at all. That is essentially forced double xp. Why! WHY!? does the SWTOR website STILL to this day force people to constantly check their email because SWTOR's site doens't "recognize" the device? Fix this! So many people complain about this same issue. It aint on my end. This is a SWTOR dot com thing and always has been. I've tried all the things that would prevent this, so I don't want to hear about how I must not be checking the checkbox most sites have that say "remember me/remember this device/this login". And it's time to streamline travel in general. The obnoxious cooldowns even with legacy perks are ridiculous, and so is the lack of ease of access. Stopping at space stations and having to load and go here or there just to get to the planet or to fleet if you dont use a fleet pass, is insane. It would be different if something happened. But it's just the usual poorly written dialogue repeating the same stuff every vet player has read a dozen times over. Ok, next up: Cosmetics! It makes no sense every race can't have "robo-parts" from the character creator. Also, plenty of MMO games have a lot customization options so why do you limit things? Why are games, not just SWTOR, still making us choose between scars and xyz, for example? So lazy. BW has had 12 years and the monster EA coming to their aid (or to their detriment rather lol). Money and time isn't an issue. Hell, just my own whale purchases in the CC could have at least funded the time and man power to implement the machine parts idea to all races lol. Embarrassing, yes. But it's the truth. Lastly, Bioware's horrible non sensical tradition of making the dialogue choices not even remotely match what is said. Im trying to be an evil sith here, and every sarcastic or mean thing in the dialogue options ends up coming out soundling like a 7 year old trying to roast people, and worse, whining. Our characters sound whiny for god's sake lol. Regardless, literally not one dialogue option that I have come accross matches what you end up actually saying. Why do you still do this? It was stupid in Jade Empire and it is stupid now. Yall been doing this for like literally 20 years now. Stop it. It isn't a puzzle or some mysterious dialogue thing. This is an RPG! Do you not get that? Don't give us options if you are going to take such ridiculous extreme liberties in what is actually said by a character vs what the game LIES to you about. And spare me how it is done that way to give you an idea of what kind of response youll give. Most of the time, it doesn't convey what youll say, and it literally never matches the dialogue choice in the first place. Dialogue option: "You better not be wasting my time!" What my dark side character actually whines: "Ugh. I suppose I can do this for you. What are the deets my good man" lol. (obvious exaggeration... but not by much, BIOWARE!)
  14. Hear my wall o text out please lol. If I pay real money, which btw now comes with a real tax in my state, to buy something off the cartel market to sell in the GTN, or trade, for example, those credits earned are bought with real life money. It's a half step away from directly buying credits. EA is stealing our real life money with these taxes. Gold sellers, as we can clearly see in chat and around the internet, have not stopped farming SWTOR or advertising. The in game taxation doesn't prevent other expoits people may pull either. And the taxes wont ever be high enough to stop a scammer who cheats people via in game mail or trade, because obviously a 500 million dollar item FOR FREE from scamming someone will numb the pain of ANY tax, because it is pure profit. So there is literally no benefit to any one. Even EA so this makes no sense lol. I wont lie; so chill before you attack me with too much furor lol, I don't know if im right or if people agree. I just feel that I am right about this. It's wild they can do this. We are not getting any thing from being taxed that benefits us. It isn't like using our creds to buy things from other players or NPCs. Those prices are a mutually agreed upon fee and/or market based corrections, we gamers are saying 'yes' to buy paying the price in question, or haggling, etc., and NPC fake bank accounts have a lore and immersion factor to them. Also, most IMPORTANT items from NPCs can be made or found by the player. So IF someone doesn't want to pay for a mod for armor or they want a better one, they can craft it, get a gift from someone, or buy from the GTN. But EA wants that to cost more than the agreed upon price between player and player. (And no, i certainly don't want the devs to freakin add lore to why we are being taxed in order to excuse it, but there is an immersion factor in paying an NPC for an item, and it prevents the weird play that would emerge if every thing were free)
