  1. His romance was really sweet and I think his character would pair well with an IA who is sabotaging the Empire because of what they did to the Killiks. I don't think he's the loyal Imperial he once was, understandably so.
  2. Just did Jaesa Willsaam's reunion and they even shoe-horned Lana into Jaesa's reunion. If I never see this character again it will be too soon. But seriously. Stop. Writers please stop feeling the need to insert her into everything and anything. Please. No more. I don't want her dead but going forward stop inserting her into everything. We have new NPC's to interact with now and I'm perfectly happy to get to know them. I can only hope they intend to bring these new people forward and I get much less Lana in my game.
  3. I figured as much. I'm not keen on Lana romantically. I like Theron but as a friend only and I didn't care for Koth at all. even knowing my SW will probably not get any more content with Quinn I still romance him and stay with him because he is my favourite. I don't want to go for others just because they have more content.
  4. I would have liked her to be redeemable in the sense that she's not just a ball of hate, but can learn to care for others and maybe learn to love them. But wthout the milquetoast personality like redeemed Arcann. Just IMO about him. I understand my view isn't the only correct view.
  5. That BS bothered me so much that I immediately closed the game and haven't taken that character through Jedi Under Siege yet. It was the straw that broke the camel's back for me when playing my human IA. I have grit my teeth through a lot of out of character moments, but that one was too much because I felt that was a moment for my character to finally grab some of her agency back. But, no. The writers have decided for me that Lana is my IA's friend and that my character would share that secret with her. NO. My IA would not have shared it with anyone at all, not even her LI at first. Once again Lana is given far more relevance to my character by the writers that I have given Lana.
  6. There's the problem: I don't need a substitute for Lana, but they wrote the story in such a way that at times my character feels like she's helpless and just waiting for Lana or whatever NPC to wipe her ***. How about I be allowed to rescue myself; it's alright to have the player have to puzzle their way out of a situation. I really don't need Lana - or any companion really - riding to my rescue all the time when things go south. I'm perfectly OK with my character having no other option but to help herself. It would be a refreshing change. I think the reason Lana get's singled out though is because every other LI can be dead so there's nothing relevant for them to do, but then our character is forced on a romantic walk with Lana and sharing our secrets with her, something that would be out of character for my human IA; she would never, ever tell Lana she was a double agent. This kind of thing builds resentment. Not just because of the LI situation, it's not a dating sim, but more so for me because my character lacks the agency to even decide who her friends are and who she shares her secrets with. I would be fine with this if my character was pre-defined, but it's a roleplaying game in which the only role I'm allowed to play is the narrow one the writers have set for me without any meaningful input from my character.
  7. I agree it shouldn't be rewritten, but perhaps going forward they could give our character a choice on who to save, like Virmire in Mass Effect. Having Vaylin back would be interesting. Perhaps they'll have the resources and reasons to do it at some point.
  8. Because the writer's say she is my character's friend. My character is not allowed to choose her own friends. She saved my character multiple times because the writer's have no one else to do it because everyone else is killable; it's Lana by necessity. The Outlander is about to die, lets have Theron rescue them and - we can't because he could be dead. Right then, we'll use Kaliyo, give Firebrand something to do that isn't just blowing things up - Uh, no, she could be dead. OK, well what about - Sir, almost everyone but Lana could be dead. We haven't used Koth in a while, perhaps we can bring the player around to him if - probably dead. Jorgan? Havoc Squad infiltrating the - can be dead. Fine. Well, who is alive for everyone? Lana. Lana saves the Outlander. But look at what Lana has done for you, saved your life so many times!!!
  9. Saving Vaylin would have been far more unique and compelling, I think. Redeeming the evil antagonist is so overdone. What I would have liked is have Arcann, the one Senya thought she could save, die beneath the rubble and then have her make a last ditch effort to save Vaylin. I don't think making Vaylin irredeemable was done for poignancy by the writers. I think it was the legion of Arcann fans that tipped the scale and I think the story is lesser for it.
  10. My human IA would have never told her that information to begin with. There should have been an option to lie to Lana in that conversation. My IA would have been for more likely to tell Theron, or her LI if she were inclined to tell anyone at all. But she would never have told Lana. I didn't really get any choices there in what I felt was a character defining moment; it's very frustrating.
  11. I don't want Lana dead. I don't even want her gone from my game. What I want is less of her in the critical path going forward. It's not about this or that LI not getting any screen time, it's about Lana being the only companion I seem to have any meaningful interactions even in scenes where someone else would make more sense, or literally getting the mission from the mission terminal would have been fine - and the times I saw you need Lana for this. It's got to the point where I feel like my character can't round a corner without Lana being in my face either giving me a mission or her telling me someone else has a mission for me. Take for example Into the Void; Lana's presence during that mission made no difference whatsoever, so why was she forced on me there? The mission itself would have played out exactly the same if I had been able to take a companion from the terminal. Any companion. I'd keep the holocron on my person. In the end giving it to Lana didn't make a difference anyway. Jedi Under Siege: Talk to Lana. That's fine for me the Empire player. I had no problems with her being the go-to here; it made sense. But then the romantic like walk happens, and later I have yet another cutscene with her and I'm just... OMG GO AWAY! FFS. I'd take Skadge at this point. I guess my point is that it's cumulative. Over time she has started to wear on me. She's the overly needy friend who constantly calls wanting your attention and you're looking for a way to extricate yourself without hurting their feelings. At first the constant calling is fine because you hope it'll die down but it never does. After a while it begins to take its toll and you look for an out.
  12. I'm curious why Arcann got a redemption path but not Vaylin. After learning her story I thought she was a far more worthy candidate for healing and redemption. Why did they choose to give it to only Arcann, I wonder. One of my favourite moments in KOTET was my SW saying: he's all yours, Vaylin. Vaylin: kneel before the dragon of zakuul!
  13. Considering Theron's SIS background I think it would have made more sense for him to be there with Lana during the rescue instead of Koth.
  14. In any upcoming content, realistically what do you all guess are our chances of having even a short scene with Malavai or even an email?
  15. I think it's a matter of resources, or rather the lack of them. They could do what you're suggesting but it takes more hours and people to get it working - plus the cost of voice actors. I think the game is on a skeleton crew and they just don't have the people or money to spare, to be honest. That's why it's all Lana all the time as quest giver and primary companion; it's less work and more cost efficient to just put her in everything.
  16. I killed him on my SW because he surreptitiously planted a quantum bomb on the Gravestone. He deserved it for that alone. I didn't expect it would screw his fans out of content though and felt bad about killing him.
  17. Yep. It's also put me off caring about any new companions we may get because it's just a matter of time before they are killable and never seen again. At this point it's probably best to view them as crafting tools and not bother getting to know them at all.
  18. But they can all get quality content. The problem is all the demands about wanting to kill this or that companion - even a decade later people wanted to kill Quinn and they got what they wanted. That would have be fine if it didn't screw me out of content with him, but it does because why waste finite resources on him. I play for the story and companions, but why bother getting attached to the story and characters at all at this point; it's frustrating. Sure I could romance Arcann who will have more content but why bother caring about him and his future story when he's probably going to be killable at some point and never seen again - and take into account he can be dead so any content for will probably be lacking because why waste recourses on a companion that can be dead for a lot of people. Lana (who I'm beginning unfairly resent) is the only companion that everyone is guaranteed to still have which is why she's shoe-horned into everything, even being the go-to for Republic players in JUS which makes little sense because apparently Jonas Balkar and Theron are best friends. So why is Lana the go-to for Republics and not Theron the ex-SIS, well it's because Theron could be dead. Making LI companions killable is a problem going forward. IMO they need to stop doing it.
  19. Same here. I hope everyone gets quality content with their LI(s). I understand it can't be the same quantity because of resources but it can still be be quality content.
  20. I'm suddenly OK with Malavai not getting any content in JUS because I can at least head canon a conversation for now and hope for something later. But I'm now 100% sure they gave what should have been Theron's content to Lana. Considering Theron's friendship with Jonas. there's no reasonable explanation Lana would be the one to set up contact. Malavai is the liaison between the Empire and the Alliance and if Acina appears in the future story, I'm going to tear a phonebook in half if it's Lana who facilitates contact. What they should have done is have Theron be the go-to for Republic players and Lana the go-to for Empire players like they've done before.
  21. I don't understand why there's an option to kill him. If a player no longer wants anything to do with him then just boot him from the Alliance. I started out liking Lana but it began to slide downhill on Rishi when she set Theron up to be captured and tortured. I'm pretty Sithy in game but that really, really, really bothered me. I needed a [force choke Lana] option. I'm sure if she'd have asked Theron to infiltrate the facility and steal information he'd have done it without problems.
  22. Wait, wait...you've got to be kidding me?! Lana was the one to provide the Republic contact who is Theron's best friend? That makes literally zero sense whatsoever. Couple that with his paltry LI content... if I were a Theronmancer I'd be fuming and wanting to airlock Lana. I find that worse than Malavai getting nothing at all to be honest. It's like they gave Theron's content to their favourite waifu.
  23. I agree Theron got shafted but at least he got a chat and a hug. I'm not asking for too much I don't think. I understand that resources are finite and the most popular LI's will get the lion's share of content, which are probably Lana and Theron...maybe Arcann though he didn't get anything either. But would it have really been too hard to at least give the rest of us an email or two. Forget Lana's romantic strolls and kisses, I'd settle for two lines and a hug in the next installment.
  24. I just youtubed both. Theron gets a short chat and a hug. Lana got a romantic walk and a kiss. Then another kiss later. Quinnmancers and others I'm sure got absolutely nothing. At least Theronmacers got a hug. My salt content is high with regards to Lana though. It's Liara T'soni all over again. Liara: Shepard, let's have a heart-to-heart about your bad dreams and concerns. Spepard: Actually I'd rather talk to Garrus about my feelings. He just down in the -- Liara: Notice me Shepard-senpai.
  25. Yes the gleefulness some took in killing him after so much time had passed was...odd. As long as it doesn't have a detrimental effect on my game then whatever. My only concern is once an LI is killable they don't get new content, like poor Koth. Though I'm not sure if that's because he's killable or because so many fans hated him so much. Poor guy got dragged and still does. My sister told me Theron got romance content during Jedi Under Siege and he's killable which gives me hope for Malavai in upcoming story.
