I don't think asking for them to change the story to suit us would be an acceptable approach to this, no. However asking for the character to return, ideally from the story doesn't harm anyone, nor does asking for a Vaylin Companion through the Cartel Market.

If this is to be all resolved in a single flashpoint, I'm not sure. At this point I'm hoping it doesn't feel rushed more than anything else.

Therons actions have already got people killed, such as the Chiss and Umbarans. At this point, I don't care for his motives, I just want him gone. If I can't kill him, I will exile him. Lana, I'm undecided about. However, should she be a part of his plans too, then I'm leaning towards unfriending her too.

You mean something like this? Maybe they'll give Vaylin an option like Jaesa then have a customization skin for the LS version.

Neither fabric or material has been resistant to lightsabers, if that's what you mean, though the Outlander did survive the same wound as Vaylin when Arcann pulled us onto his saber. Visually I think the KOTET outfit gives Vaylin more character, so if she were to return, I would like to see her in that outfit. If she did return, they could always add her KOTFE appearance onto the force alignment vendors, similar to what they did for Arcann and his outfit types. Moaning just creates a negative vibe, which one would simply dismiss with ease. I think constructive criticism would work better. They said they weren't sure how to bring back Vaylin? and they didn't want to do it in such a way that she would just 'be back' ? (Something along those lines?) So if we approached it from that angle, maybe we'll have better odds of them returning Vaylin to the story? That said, if a story return Is out of the question, then I'm all for them adding Vaylin to either the companion console on Odessen or the Cartel Market. I'm more than happy to purchase a companion I'll know I'll use while playing SWTOR.

I was listening to some chat on fleet (yeah I know, bad idea) and the topic of KOTET and a third expansion came up. Is it true we would of had 16 chapters to KOTET, along with another 16 to a third themed expansion they had planned? In which the companions who hadn't returned at the time would of had their own chapters instead of these two minute returns?

I liked her KOTET outfit. Not sure about the burnt parts on the hem of her skirt though.

I just checked, none of the KOTFE characters are on my list, I'm not sure if that's a bug or not? So at this point it looks like a no. I suppose it doesn't hurt to question for them to add Vaylin and Arcann if you killed him to the Odessen console, both act as companions during that fight with the Emperor anyway.

You can claim Arcann from the console if you do a dark side play-through of KOTET and killed him? I didn't know that.

What?! She's been away from the player for 6+ years now, she'll be returning with a child if we're going down that path. Unless she hooked up with someone else.

Terraforming would be my guess. Vegetation I might be able to accept, but where are these rivers and waterfalls coming from? What about the red eggs on the Gravestone? I thought they were coming back? How will they tie into Nathema?

I don't know how I feel about going back to Imp vs Pub. In the story Lana says the Empire and Republic were still fighting one another despite the Eternal Empire being the major power, right? You could of had chapters flavored to this 'Imp vs Pub' in the KOT** expansions. The second time to go back to Imp vs Pub was on Iokath, but that was pushed aside for this traitor arc and is only being referenced by mail or Lana. There's also a mention to the conflict from the announcement during the Chiss flashpoint if to be believed is reporting the enemy faction is having a resource crisis, forcing them to abandon several of their worlds and pull out of Iokath. So already the enemy faction is at a severe disadvantage. As for Vaylin, at this point, that is the best I think we can expect, as much as I would like her to return to the story, I would be satisfied with this option.

I think there is too much plot for this one flashpoint to deliver if it's going to take us back to Imp vs Pub. Now they've added more questions with Nathema essentially coming back to life and you said something about a space station over Nathema? When did that happen?

It sounds like listening to those complaints allowed them to shoot themselves in the foot. Which they've done multiple times with various 5.0 releases. (Iokath, Companion Returns, Traitor Arc, CXP, Conquest)

Pretty sure those three will be with us after 5.9 too.

Wow, so whining really works? What if a new group does the same with 6.0? Will they rush that too? It would be nice to know, yes, but I agree with you, if what could have been is better than what we're currently getting, then I suspect we'll be drowned in threads asking to roll back to 4.9.

So we could of had a story that was fleshed out? returning all our companions? maybe even allowing us to recruit Vaylin and instead we've got this rushed plot to get us back into the dribble of a faction vs faction story again?

Agreed. They could have done so much more with KOTET that wouldn't have made it feel like a rushed expansion.

I agree with this. I would rather pay to see what was in those two 16 chapter expansions that wherever we're going now.
