  1. Looks like the helmets I was thinking of are all around level 45ish in requirement. Here is some links to the sets and according to the site (in game may be different) they are all BoE drops. TH-16A Master Medic TD-06B Eliminator RD-06B Eliminator Try doing a search on the GTN for any of them three and see if they come up.
  2. I know the type of hat you are talking about and there is a few in game. The one from the Bounty Broker's association is the only one with a face covering (kind of makes it look like an old west bandit with a bandana covering your face). But if you would like an open face I know there is a few others. I'm not sure of levels but I believe there is one that is BoE and can be found on the GTN, and another I think comes from doing a Herioc for a higher level planet on Republic side. It's been a while but I remember buying mine from the GTN and being a bit annoyed later when I found out you get one as a choice during a Herioc.
  3. I believe it actually can be done with the "interface Editor". But if you turn it off I think you'll miss out on ALL affection gain and losses not just individual and maybe dark/light side gain/losses. But anyways here is where I think it is, don't have the game available at the moment so I'm working off memory ... Open the "Interface Editor", Choose "Conversation" from the drop down menu, You should now see boxes to denote subtitles, response wheel, and one for affection feedback, Click on the box for affection feedback, Check to see if there is an enable/disable option.
  4. A vendor in Taris seems to have the most customization options for Kaliyo except for the one that requires you to have a Security Key attached to your account or have purchased the Collector's Edition. Both of those customization options can be purchased from the CE and Security Key vendors on the Fleet. Here is a site with a list of all of the vendors, locations, and even pictures of the companions with each option. http://www.swtor-spy.com/guides
  5. What about your armor do you want to replace? By this point you should have at least 5 or more armor pieces that are Orange/Custom quality and you just have to purchase new mods/armorings/enhancements for them to upgrade them. Generally this is done either from a planet Planetary Commendation Modification vendor or from the sister vendors located on the fleet. If you want you can search through the GTN for a Orange/Custom belt and bracers so you can upgrade them instead of doing complete swaps as well. So is it the look you are wanting to change, or the stats? Please be a little more specific in what you are looking for.
  6. I haven't tried with SW:TOR but years ago back with vanilla WoW I used to have a copy of the game on a thumb drive so I could play during class or in the computer rec room between classes at college. You could try making a copy of the SW:TOR directory and placing it on a large thumb drive or external hard-drive. Just be aware it may be slow to load, and when ever you update with a patch you might have to recopy the directory to the drive.
  7. There is actually quite a few armors for the Jedi that have hoods up, as long as you have the helm hidden. You can actually get them from quest lines fairly early in the game. It's a lot harder to find armor that the hood is down on even when you have your helm hidden so you can see your character's face. But there is a few adaptable options for that located in the GTN from cartel packs. And eventually I'm sure the hood toggle option will get introduced at some point, I know that the community has been screaming for the option since launch pretty much.
  8. It's actually called the Interface Editor option I believe and it was a new edition since launch. You no longer just have to turn on or off your quick slot bars. Now you can manually move the position, adjust amount of slots on each bar, how many columns of slots, and adjust/enable/disable just about anything else about the UI. It takes a little getting used to.
  9. See, I'm more curious if your sister did the conversation without your notice? I mean for future reference you do know you can "ESC" and exit the conversation right? Then just restart the conversation after your visit to the facilities. It's also handy if you want to see what some of the other conversation paths will lead but don't want the repercussions.
  10. The standard henchmen can switch if you reset the quest after collecting the data and talking to the informant in the cantina. I had to reset the quest more than half a dozen times to try and get one of the two henchmen that I needed to come around. But for the actual Kingpin mission no, they are a set person per world. Unlike the henchmen they don't rotate around on a planet.
  11. Yes, you have to actually have a lvl 10 character and unlocked/chosen a legacy name. Then you have a few options to unlock the different races, either purchase the individual or the diversity unlocks with CC from the Cartel Menu, I believe (haven't checked myself) you can purchase the Cartel Menu unlocks for credits from other players that posted them on the GTN, or level one of that race to lvl 50 in which case it will be unlocked for free. Be aware, I've never experienced it or seen any notice of it. But if you level a single character to level 10, choose a legacy name, and unlock a different race ... if you delete that character to try and remake them as the new race you MAY have lost that unlock as deleting your only character will delete your legacy as well. Best to just remake the character and delete the original at a later time to be on the safe side.
  12. Here is a guide with an exact number of how many gifts you will need to buy of each rank to get from 0 -> 6000, and yes anything over 6000 can only be achieved by collecting gifts from Underworld Trading or Diplomacy. I know it seems daunting, but just remember that as your affection goes up the better the gifts will get so it kind of feeds itself. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=573213
  13. You can actually purchase decent level Artifact/Epic (Lvl 58) mods for gear at level 50 with just the Planetary Comms that you get from leveling by talking to the Makeb Comm Vendor on your respective fleet. While you won't be able to completely deck out your character with the current max of 100 Comms you can gear him more then half-way and fill in the later portions as you pick up more Comms from random questing. Or go back to the beginning planets and solo all the herioc quests to restock your supply. After that you can just do random dailies at 55 for Basic Comms to purchase gear with Lvl 66 mods or the lvl 50 dailies at Section X or Black Hole for lvl 61-63 mods. Basically with minimal effort and just a little time you can easily get a character geared out enough that you can place him on hold to go do random things.
  14. Also make a note that the difficulty of the mobs jumps around that level as well. So if you just started Tattooine then be prepared for that increase. While they are still not that hard, you will find that your having to take a breather between fights more often compared to what you were on Nar Shadaa or any previous planets..
  15. This unfortunately is actually kind of common and is something I really hate with a few exceptions. I understand **** happens in the middle of the run and people leave; so fillers are found. If everything was cleared up to the group I don't have an issue with it, but if mob packs are skipped I will ask the new person if they know the routes around the packs or need a guide. And it REALLY gets me when people start running ahead around packs in a brand new instance ... then new players are left behind having to nervously try to find a paths around packs that veterans already know about, and they are even more afraid to ask for someone to guide them because some **** doesn't want to wait and will vote/kick them. There is a reason I stay until last when I enter an instance as a healer, then I can guide new people or verify everyone knows the way. Anyone that runs that far ahead solo without checking on the rest of the group's locations is taking their fate in their own hands ... their deaths are all on them. Your the healer, you decide how you want to heal. I generally go by the rule that if i got the resources I'll tag people that are a little low on health with small heals and HoT's to keep them up to full or at least over 90% between fights, which is most of the time since as a Scoundrel I don't have to stop moving for medpacs and my energy refills quickly. But if the fights are so close together and nail biting that I have to self heal/recharge between them then I expect the group to as well. But no one should expect to get healed between fights, everyone is in charge of checking/healing their own health between fights and any heals from the healer is a courtesy at that point.
  16. Try going to the Video Card Benchmark website. It's just kind of a summary of video card qualities, but it will give you an idea on what one may run like. And it also has the average prices for most of them so you can shop for a "diamond in the rough" card that is competing at high end with low cost.
  17. It means that your cover is supplying you with a defense bonus against that particular mob. If that mob was to charge into melee range and nullify the use of your cover you would lose the marker over it's head. One of the Dev's explained it in one of the early game-play trailers before the game was released.
  18. Nope, sorry you have to choose a Legacy name in order to receive Legacy XP. Legacy is supposed to be the building of a reputation for a "family" of characters. Thus you can not build a Legacy without a name, because then you are just your average Joe Schmoe with no reputation/legacy to spread the word of your deeds.
  19. Uhh ... I think you must be slightly confused. The mob dying has no effect on Upper Hand be able to proc at all. Upper Hand is a buff gained by using one of couple abilities and if specced for healing has a chance to proc with a tick of a HoT. So if your expecting to see Upper Hand trigger because you killed a mob, then unless your killing that mob with "Blaster Whip" your not going to see it. So your companion has no effect what so ever on your Upper Hand proc.
