  1. It seems nobody is buying anything on the GTN lately. I'm trying to earn credits by selling items in order to buy cool gear, but nothing is happening. Is there something going on I don't know about?

Players are still buying, just not stupid overprice items.

I still sell stuff, by that I mean I don't put much on GTN but 90-95% of what I do list, sell.

There will however always be items that sell poorly, not every item is going to be indemand or even wanted, which is proberbly why they are on the GTN in the first place.

  2. Honestly, i could hardly care less about adding new companions.

What's the point to add more, and more LIs when we all know the dudes will die anyways as there will always be some edgelord dudebros who will want to kill anything that doesn't have bewbs and who doesn't worship the floor they walk on... ?

I'd much rather have actual content for the companions i never killed and who are not called Lana Beniko... And who should never have been given that option in the first place, especially the LIs, and even more so the ones who were actually part of KOTFE.

Every time the night life event comes round there are plenty of players who play only to get the companion. So clearly some like having more, you may not, others do.

I do agree with you character LI's should never of had a kill option.

I personally don't see the need to "start over" but have no issues at all in adding more companions. I also don't see a propblem in allowing players to remove comps that are no longer part of the on-going story, should they chose to. You could always add any removed companion to the Odessen terminal should any player want any removed companion back.

  3. I disagree with this statement.

The day before the end of week four of the cycle gives five Cartel Market Certificates. It's about the only thing worth having.

The Jawa metal is worth it for F2P/preffered players that can only go as far as level 70. As they don't get to disinterate level 75 gear to get it.

The conquest 50k is also worth having... well for just about everyone.

The dyes? well player(s) buy these of GNT all the time so certainlly worth for it for some players, however yes it will depend on luck to get dyes colours you want.

The social boost are also worth have for newer players that group but don't yet have a high level of socail points.

The extra tech fragment/50k conquest plus two embers are also worth having at end of the 4th login week.

Sure personally not everything is useful, but really have you had to do anything for it? No and if nothing else its free credits, and yes the cartel certs are good as well.

Not all login rewards will suit everyplayer, but personally I find at least 50% OK for my own personal game play.

  4. I think there are many here who would take issue with you referring to me as a white knight:rolleyes:..

I just object to the term entirely, It's used to belittle and undermine some else's point of view. This guy uses it in every other post he makes.

  5. It most likely will be ranked and HM/NIM OPs, since that is the only content that people need that type of gear for. Agreed I think its stupid, but then again I hate gear period. And I hate crafting more. But it makes sense to put those rewards in those places because the only people who need it and benefit from it, are the few elitist people who play that content.

I detest the Republic vs Empire war, on the sole fact it was a giant manipulation from Vitiate to cause death so he could suck the living day Force out of everyone and live forever. Like, WHY are they still fighting!?!? And being forced to pick a side I hate also, I wish I was just a freelancer Guardian of the Galaxy flying around with my companions helping people.

It makes sense kinda why they still look the same (because of background coding issues) but I wish the customizations we put on them could still be there, oh well. Also waiting this long for them to return was WAY beyond a stupid choice, all the companions should have returned YEARS ago.

I expect it will as well, in-fact I believe Eric has said as much without actually confirming it. I think the word probably was used. Need gear has nothing to do with it for two reasons. One the game economy, If this gear is sellable on GNT it give the few a huge advantage which would be fine if there were different sub rates. Secondly and this is not a huge thing for me but if as a solo player I suddenly wanted to get involved in PvP or try operations for the first time. Having the best gear helps. Its been a long time since I did an operation and only ever did two. The amount as flack some players got for well many different reasons but one was gear. So it does have an effect. Also I personally can stand player who come to the forums say oh you don't need it! Like it makes any difference them if others have it or not. Still that's a personal thing. Don't worry I know you are not say this even if you gave reasons why it may be so.

I am one the same page as you about the new (same old thing) Empire/ Republic war. Yawn

As for companion, yes there may well be reason as to why, I just thought it be a nice gesture from BW as they have made us wait so long, though only Nadia will be returning out of these 3 for me as hate doc and have zero dark side characters so Dark Jassa is not an option for me.

  6. I didn't see the LIvestream but this is what Dulfy's recap says:

"Tier 5 Gear. All Tier 5 gear will be crafted, no detail to reveal yet. We know you got strong opinions about it. Expect to be part of the rewards for master mode operations. "

    Yep, PvP'ers get shafted.

As do solo/pvp players. The world does not evolve around PvP.

It will depend on if you can sell tier 5 crafting gear on GNT. Don't see why one group of players get rewarded above other groups for doing what is there preferred play style..

  7. I'm excited for the new roadmap. Looking forward to the new storyline and intrigued by the planet they talk about, could it be Dantooine finally?

I am especially happy to see Doc is finally returning. Time to get my Jedi through FE/ET she's been waiting far too long.

Well guess someone somewhere had to have missed old Doc, I had not even realised he had gone as I never used him. :D:p:rak_01: Not really sure what Smilies I should be using here, lol.

  8. "Crafted Tier 5 Gear – make your own top tier gear after obtaining rare schematics and new crafting materials"

seriously? craftable? how the **** schould that work with set bonusses?

do you have to have 7 schematics for 1 spec?

you guys should seriously think about the problems that brings for people who have to play different roles in thier particular raid groups... those people will need another stupid grind fest....

havent you learned from the fail that was galactic command... me as an salesman myself i see what you are doing... trying to keep people engaged by giving them smeting to farm but that was your idea behing galactic command, too...

did it work out? i guess not... never seen so few people online..

craftabble top tier gear is simply wrong.. ..

then you for sure will have to do ranked pvp for mats or wait like 2 years for luck...

(about 60% of the nim raiders i play with wouldnt touch ranked pvp even with a forceps)

i guess you dont have a concept yet otherwise you would communicate it.

i strongly suggest you to make that gear available by components just as any other gear...

otherwise a lot of people would be pissed for the new grind.. (btw that was the reason you brought out those components, if you remember)

dont make that mistake to bring it only craftable... you will lose players...

Actually I much rather have it craft able than components. However it all comes down to two things for me, one where and how you get schematics. If you get then in command crates I be fine with that, if its drops from group play then no thank you BW. Secondly where you get all the craft able mats from. Again if it needs mats from group boss fight then again no thank you BW. I guess if its craft able gear it may be possible to sell or trade for gear you still need. However that would need to be confirmed. tier 5 craft able gear actually makes crafting worth while again as long as BW do it right and don't just make it for the few elitist players.

As for going back to empire vs republic, well not what I wanted but know it was coming but really do want more info how it going to affect our individual alliances.

Returning comps, well BW you know its been awhile now don't you think that these companions need a make over? I mean would Nadia look exactly the same after all this time? Same hair style same outfit. You made us wait a long time for these characters how about giving us a few new customizations

  9. While he didn't answer your question and what he said was a bit over the top, I would hardly say that xordevoreaux's response was victim blaming.

If you reported someone for selling credits then I'm not surprised the ticket was closed without a response. It doesn't mean they ignored it but they do have to investigate and they're not going to keep you updated on the investigation or the results.

Name and shame can be too easily abused and thus isn't allowed on the forums. Trolling someone is not generally a reportable offense although I would send a report if they tried to get you to hack and especially if they told you how. You would probably need proof though. I also wouldn't expect a response from that ticket.

Bw do act upon credit seller reports on mass but it's so infrequently maybe once or twice a year. Players that do credit selling are band but they just start a new characters or accounts. As such it never going to end.

  10. Sorry but it's not allowed. You can report players directly if the player is in violation of rules, but not just for the reasons you have listed. You can however put the individuals on you ignore list. Which dependant on how a group is formed may at least prevent you being group with them, but not always if I understand some posters here correctly.

Players behaving how you describe is not new unfortunately also the reason I no longer group for anything and I was not even the player who was on the receiving of such behaviour.

  11. While I don't need top tier gear from command crates, I do like getting shinies. Don't forget the command crates also contain cosmetic gear, mounts, pets, companion gifts, jawa junk and reputation items. You might just grind them up and forget they exist, but I quite like them.

Feel free to send your unloved pets and mounts to Cedaric on SF, especially your tier 4 pets and mounts. ;)

I did not need the gear for story mode FP such as the last two. Did not doing them again on my commando, smuggler but did need it on my shadow, just on the one boss. I agree getting crates is nice as long as getting them does not become the reason to play. At the moment I am still after a item or two from the Mandalore armour sets.

  12. I have no good vice to give you, however others may have. To save time for them give as much detail as possible. Such as your general location, is this a recent error or are you playing for fist time? Have you tried removing bitraider from star wars game folder. Any and all info will help players who know more about these sort of errors will help them help you.

Hope you get it sorted out.

  13. I don't understand what this means. I did it, got the armor, it works, what's the problem?

When it first came out it had no mods in it so could be used at any level to give the 25% (max) bonus. Then BW changed it to have mods in it and to the level of the character who had it on. So my level 60 character could no longer hand it over to my level 10 or any lower character than 60. So as far as I am concerned BW shafted the players who got the armour. You are free to think whatever you want I stand by what I said. So now I can only use it for the last 10 levels on anyone of my characters. Whoopee F****** do.

  14. Personally I am no longer interested in these events. First they lock the best rewards behind group activity, then after you get some rewards such as the gear that gave you up to a max 25% XP within a few weeks BW totally shafted the players who got it. As such if there is one not sure I would bother. The free cartel stuff was nice but even then not sure it be worth doing again. Guess the free cartel stuff would depend on how lucky you were with what you got. Its more I already have most of what I want. New players would benefit so be nice for them.

As for the community getting involved in asking for different companions? well this would get players involved yes, however such things would need to be available to all not just group players. If it was for all, then yes on this I support your idea.

  15. If you are a vanilla/story player you certainly don’t need anything from galactic command. Same goes for most solo content unless you are soloing mm uprisings.

Not relevant in any way. Need does not come into it. Why should you be allowed to make millions of credits over solo players? Be able to buy cartel stuff free of GTN with those credits?

Just the CC craft mats sell for well over 1m each. Its about BW being fair to all its customer equally, not about gear. However you would need better gear for vet or master mode chapters which can be done solo with the right gear.

  16. Yea, you're right. I mainly posted it to comment to Bioware that there are more types of play styles in this game than OPS, PVP, and Running Flashpoints. And, those things are great, but what about the story players?, but either way best not to even care about fairness and just focus on playing through that content I want to play.

I agree PvE for the most part has low CxP. BW advertise this game as solo friendly then punish you for playing solo, in term of CxP and also craft mats. They also put other rewards such as companions behind group play as well. Over all it does come down to play what's fun for you to play. I would of loved the Chiss companion from the DvL event some time back. BW are never going to get me to do group play again no matter what rewards they put behind it. So no Chiss comp for me. If it not fun for me it just not done. Which is why I no longer even look at things like command rank level. I just open boxes as I get them as carry on playing. Saying all this, is not saying I disagree with the point you made. As I fully agree with you on this subject.

  17. Are you the Joker (many of the same name with alt codes, always wearing the colors from the comics) on SS who drops any warzone the millisecond something goes wrong early in the match? If so, you'd probably get your money's worth if you stuck it out and saw how most of the time those early mistakes are easily overcome and conquered instead of burning through the queue like that.

Apologies if that's not you, it just reminded me of one of the reasons I hate this part of PvP in this game (The Joker is far from the only PvP "pro" who does this all day)

Sadly I too had this happen when I was doing WZ's. It was some time ago and only for a short time when I first started doing conquests. That and players just ranting at other players. OK not every game or even every day but was enough that I just stopped doing WZ's. As it happened BW radically changed conquests anyway so no longer do them. If a player only cares about winning and throws a fit if they lose, well players like that are not worth my time, so stopped all group play. Not that I did a lot anyway.

I am glad someone like you has brought this up, as when I have said such things in the past I get reply's such as

" this never happen to me" or such other BS.

  18. I don't care much about that, because I never seem to get what's required there to buy anything anyway.

For example those KDY crates. I haven't seen them dropped in ages. And because of that, I simply stopped doing the KDY FP since one year or so.

So, instead of those swimming in luxury, I never seem to get whaz's needed, mostly due to my infamously bad roll luck. I Even stopped doing OPs because of that (well, at least until I got into a newer guiild, but even there are OPs where I get NOTHING because of bad roll luck ...).

Well you may not care, fine with that. I do, which is why I said it.

Not sure about the bad luck aspect because Dark/Light venders, Cartel Bazaar venders, security venders, the one by the Revan flashpoints, which are the ones I mentioned particularly, Luck does not play a part.

KDY vender? well not ever used, as I am a solo player so any operation venders or group FP venders I know nothing about. However I bet they too have not had updates for items available.

Getting rep points and items available from venders are different issues. Getting the rep point as you mention can be an issue but my reply was to the issue brought up by the original post, which wanted updates to items available from venders.

  19. Lots of reasons mentioned in many other threads, not saying I agree with the reasons given but no point in writing them yet again in this thread. I agree its poor for some PVE play. If I do a chapter I get what maybe 1000 CXP? I can get 5x that doing one planets heroics for the same time spent. Both still count as PVE I guess but if doing story its very poor.

Do the weeklies for easy CXP, other than that well? play what's fun for you to do in game and don't worry about CXP. If you spend all your time worrying about your command rank, it will over time ruin your entire game.
