  1. If it has a cast timer and both classes have the same "delay" it should stay. But then you have the laughable difference between the Trooper's "Mortar Volley" and the Bounty Hunters opposite. Now that is a wonderful example of a delay difference that shouldn't be there (The last time I played my trooper): Mortar Volley's shots are divided into three damage "payloads" and is delivered at a laughable rate. The first 1.5 seconds is devoted to the "readying" animation, a single shot is fired after that. 1.5 seconds later (The end of the channeling time) a second shot is fired and finally after 1.5 more seconds (1.5 seconds AFTER the channel time) the final shot is fired. The Bounty Hunter's equivalent of this ability does not have that 1.5 second delay before the first shot so it's actually finished as soon as the channel is completed.
  2. Make it more like E-Bay and less like Amazon.com for starters (We have the choice of a "bid" and "Buy now") Then, remove the requirement of having to reduce the category to the smallest level before starting off. Next, create a separate category for GIFTS and let us filter according to what type of gift we're looking for. Finally, give us the option of using the "name" filter as a search option before the search is done.
  3. To pass the time I just backhand my female companion. Ps, Bioware supports violence against women (Large leap in logic required)
  4. Reminds me of two things: First the non-spoiler: Guess what the primary motivation for the Trooper is in Act 2 and 3? FOR THE REPUBLIC! EMPIRE MUST DIE! While it isn't bad... It would have been nice to get something else. That or "For the credits" but when you think about how accomplished your character is; couldn't he make 10 times the amount the republic gives him acting independently? Second:
  5. Strength will benefit them but just stick to +aim gear because of tech damage bonuses as well.
  6. Have you seen the power of music? It should have an hour cooldown if it actually played any.
  7. So... I learned I just resubbed coicidentally at the same time they made this announcement. I didn't resub because of this "wonderful" reward it was because I started a Sith warrior and found the story intriguing.
  8. I'm an awesome pilot; I can shoot through solid objects and still hit my target.
  9. Ilum is screwed now matter what you do to it in it's current state. If you make it a decent place to PvP the door to exploitation is left wide open but if you give it any level of protection Ilum will be terrible. The only path I would say to follow would be to steal Blizzards idea for world PvP in Wrath of the Lich King (Wintergrasp). A massive battle every 6 hours to capture Ilum and unlock some random high-level resource rewards that are protected by hostile level 50 monsters (To keep the level 12's away) inside a zone where only those who can control Ilum can go. Then some other benefit everyone wants. Make it a half an hour long battle to see who can "own" the most amount of territories or give it a push and pull value.
  10. Well if it happens as soon as you land there is a slight problem of other character models not loading fast enough so they could naturally get the jump on you Oh and I wonder how many people called Ilum turning into something like this? Edit: Or landing and finding 4 Imperials about to say "Hey" with a lightsaber to the face before you have a chance to look at your surroundings and respond accordingly. Repeat this a few hundred times for the poor low PvP participating faction and people are going to be less willing to go out there and even less likely to bother organizing a group for world PvP because "It just happens. Avoid that place like a freaking plague. The amount of effort isn't worth the reward"
  11. Warm fuzzy feelings. I first check out if it's one of those 3 stage quest otherwise I ignore the bonus missions
  12. Voicing my intense hate for the Smart Camera
  13. A way to disable the smart-follow camera. It annoys me something fierce that the camera continually resets to being behind me whenever I move. I want to look behind me when in combat without pressing my target changing button down (Left mouse button). Why don't you let me?
  14. I just /fistbump my enemies corpses... Although you know what's needed? Some jokes. I want some jokes made at my troopers expense when I type /joke or /silly but noo, he just continually tells this silent joke forever and ever until I move.
  15. If you're unlucky, yes. If you're lucky, no.
  16. And you're wonderfully right... If this were real life and not a MMO and this is also being the major gathering point for each faction. More effort should be put into those places because they see the largest amount of foot-traffic for the greatest amount of time (Because it's the place to be if you want to find anything) to help "summarize" what each faction is.
  17. When you run a heroic dungeon for the 15th time for that one item then see it get taken by that class who doesn't use it at all "Because it's for his companion" you too will say that.
  18. Anything? Or something I consider important because I'm looking at standing in there for a good number of gameplay hours trying to sell my wares, look for a group for a flashpoint or waiting for the PvP queue to pop. I would like to look at something I consider to be "interesting" and "well designed" as opposed to this dull brown copy and pasted nothing we have right now.
  19. I do remember one beta where there wasn't a GMK inside the X Fleet but on the capitol planet. Although both fleets really do need a one-over now that they are meant to be the "center" of each respective faction. I hate using the WoW reference but here goes: Each city had it's own feel, unique music and ambiance to it. If you were to enter the two vastly different faction "Capitols" (Stormwind and Orgrimmar for alliance and horde respectively) you can immediately tell each city had immensely different cultures. The music for each side was so strongly different as well it had it's own unique flavour to boot. Enter the X Fleet. You have the only thing that changed is the background shade colour. There is no "taste" added to it; it's a dull place to gather.
  20. Haha, really? Oh wow. For the "center" of the MMO world you think they would put more effort into it to summarize the two factions. It's almost like they meant the center of activity to be someplace else and the X Fleet is just a stop-over place.
  21. For reiteration: The Republic Fleet is boring, wide, large, web-like and somehow colourless even with all those neon signs. For an area where we are meant to "hang out and chill" while trying to sell an item, waiting for the PvP queue, putting an item onto the GMK or finding a group I couldn't pinpoint a worse place than there From the scenic city-spaces of Coruscant instead we have the dull browns of the Republic Fleet. From the breathtaking ice capped peaks of Aldraaan... We have the dull neon (Bwha?) signs of the republic fleet. From the glorious ruined megalopolis that is Taris we have the suffocating glimpses of the outside universe on the republic fleet.
  22. Out of 33 bags I've gotten 3 pieces. Two helmets and one off-hand. And you're complaining about 8 bags and getting nothing? I'm averaging one item per 11 bags. Luck is luck.
  23. It depends; it's something that is offered to everyone is it really an imbalance or an old individual refusing to change and learn to adapt to his surroundings? (Edit: I feel like I still play really well without macros however I can't help but feel like it could be easier to play well with them) And maybe I used the word "easier" incorrectly; would the word "convenient" fit better? It would be much more convenient to combine skills together that naturally have two completely different targets but serve the same purpose (Reducing incoming damage to my allies). Or helping combine skills together that have the same short-cut but with one variable being changed (Ctrl, shift or nothing for an example)
  24. If someone could create a "one size fits all" macro for damage or tanking then you would have to talk with Bioware for making such an easily mind-numbing character. Also; macros do not auto-acquire a target and heal them. At least, the marcros that I know of. There are marcros that heal on mouseover (Using the current person the mouse is over as the target) but auto-targeting? Yeah, no. You are looking at the worst case; I'm looking at combining skills and shortcuts together so it makes my job a little easier. Friend-or-foe selections for example: Why would I try to guard an enemy and taunt an ally? Why not combine the two via a macro so the same short-cut guards my target if it's an ally but taunts it if it's hostile. It's one less short-cut I have to remember and still requires "thought" to be used. Edit: As for mods; they are tools and nothing more. Highly useful tools that should be used. Bioware can create a million billion different types of UI's and there is still a chance that what they do isn't what I'm looking for; why can't I make my own UI and tailor it to exactly what I want? It saves Bioware the time and effort of making a million billion UI's and I'm happy because I get exactly what I enjoy out of the game. DPS Meters: There are actually several barriers of entry into raids and one of these are in fact DPS. With one Heroic there are bosses with 2 minute enrage timers. If you can't beat em' in that time you are unlikely to beat the boss at all. A DPS Meter will help the person know if they are even capable of taking the boss down. Threat Meters: Since when is more information a bad thing? You never want to grab agro off a tank and some fights threat is dropped so many times it helps to know when you don't have any of it.
