  1. Good News: Statues, posters and so forth are available from the Anniversary Vendor on the fleet (found with the Stronghold boards). Bad news: Unfortunately, most of the posters (all of them except Eternal Throne, it seems) fail to display properly. Instead of the poster, trying to put them in a stronghold results in a framed green hemi-spheric polyhedron with "Missing Granny" on every facet. (I kid you not...) Kind of irritating...
  2. Cool; I didn't think it would change the actual mount color because then palette-swap mounts wouldn't sell (less than some of them already don't). I could see changing engine/light/flourish colors having some definite RP (heavy or light) potential...
  3. I have to agree that one of the best aspects of KOTFE/ET was being able to gain some companions for different classes (i.e.; Rusk for a Trooper, Akaavi for a Bounty Hunter, Guss Tano for a Jedi, etc.) and the trend over the last year or so towards 'for original class only' has been a profound disappointment. It means so many possibilities get missed out on; Jaesa for Jedi being only one example. Hopefully, they'll start to reverse the trend and allow classic companions to cross classes again instead of leaving it solely to new ones...
  4. So it should be okay as long as I stay away from Ossus? Thanks, I'm no where near that point in the game, so that's a major relief.
  5. So, with all the companion issues, et. al., is it even safe to patch up and try to play SWTOR at the moment, even on pre-Ossus (pre-KOTFE/KOTET, for that matter) characters without risking losing any companions or anything? I guess my big reason for concern is because I started patching before checking the Dev Tracker and now I'm afraid that the patching that the game has done might have completely ruined my characters...
  6. Have to agree that I'm not liking the idea of rewards that would only be available the one place and time; always end up a little bitter when a game does that. It's like punishing people for not being players at the time (or even could be considered as much punishing those who didn't win by denying it to them as rewarding those who won with it...) That said, before I could form any further opinion on the idea, I'd need a little more information on what you're thinking - what kind of criteria, for example? Would it be judged by the stronghold (Yavins, Manaans, etc.), the themes ('Jedi Academies', 'Trooper Bases', 'Smuggler hideouts', etc.)? How would how much of the stronghold is unlocked affect things? Or how many decoration hooks are filled? Please, elaborate...
  7. I kind of can see why; Light Side, Dark Side, Republic, Empire, Alliance, etc. Someone might like, say, the Yavin 4 Temple enough to do it as a Light Side Republic stronghold (ala Luke's Jedi Academy from the old EU books) for one copy and another copy as an Alliance outpost with Dark Side leanings for a different character. Not my own cup of tea, but I grasp the reasoning.
  8. Hm... You've just given me a scathingly brilliant idea...
  9. Plot point of KOTFE/ET; the Alliance is supposed to be a blend of Light and Dark, Republic and Empire, Jedi and Sith, all working together towards the defeat of Arcann/Vaylin. (Even Satele Shan and the ghost of Darth Marr were in hiding together on Odessan, waiting for the Outlander's arrival...) Companions: Kira (Child of the Emperor, but rejected him to be a Jedi, despite early training on Korriban), Jaesa (discovered the hypocrisy of parts of the Jedi Order and joined a Sith who she saw as more honest to learn from them, whether it's Light or Dark Jaesa…), Ashara (Jedi Padawan with a special ability who trained under a Sith with the same ability, but didn't necessarily become Sith herself) Any one of those companions could have had a good quest where you had to recruit them as part of forging the Alliance together, getting Sith and Jedi to find common ground, maybe having to recover training materials from Tython and Korriban through Eternal Empire interdiction as part of it. Could have even included some NPCs discovering that, despite training as Jedi or Sith to start with, they're actually more capable of relating to the Code and ways of the other Order instead... End with Kira/Jaesa/Ashara (or even a combination thereof) thanking the player for helping to preserve the knowledge and teachings the Eternal Empire is trying to destroy and joining/rejoining them.
  10. You've reminded me... aren't there some kind of Ambient Music Devices available as decorations? Would one of those work to provide the missing music for the band?
  11. Thanks; I checked the wiki and website and couldn't find anything that said what the current limit was - everything either had four (which, with six, I knew was wrong) or six (but was dated pre-merger) so I wasn't sure.
  12. Between the new Rishi stronghold coming at the end of the month and the server merger a while back, does anyone know what the maximum number of strongholds one can have is now? I'm considering the Rishi stronghold, but I don't know if I want to give up one of my others for it...
