  1. They aren't fine -they are pretty bad. At this point it feels basically the same to me if my companion is out or not. If you're going to have companions in your game they should be useful not dead weight.
  2. Initially, I was gonna say I like the trinity, but then I thought about my favorite class in swtor being the Sorc because of their ability to heal themselves. Maybe, I don't like the trinity as much as I thought.
  3. I guess if you just want to level as quickly as possible it's not a negative. I just found it somewhat jarring that after turning in a quest reward I gained two levels. With all the increased grind they added to the game with this "expansion" it's weird they made leveling as easy as they did. I actually re-subbed to eso after cancelling my swtor sub. I agree with you that the scaling there could also use some work. I find mid leveling in eso to be the most tedious. Early and post 50 you feel good, but around level 20ish till 50 you feel weak IMO.
  4. Picked up that reference perfectly. Well done. As for swtor. I cancelled my sub two weeks after the launch of legacy of the sith. This "expansion" isn't really an expansion. I finished the new story content in about an hour. Two things really stood out to me during this play through. First you level stupid fast. After each mission I would collect my reward and gain 2 levels. Second thing I noticed was that with each level (or 2 haha) that I gained my character became progressively weaker. It was almost comical really. I would wait 6 months for more story to be added and all (yah right --most) bugs to be fixed.
  5. Legacy of the Sith is the best expansion ever...and the players love it.
  6. This. I probably wouldn't have un-subbed, even with all the problems of 7.0, if the gear had remained fully moddable and I wasn't being forced into certain content to get top gear lvl.
  7. Not for me it's not worth playing anymore. I cancelled my subscription a couple weeks after 7.0 dropped (Not sure how much time I have left because I paid for 3 months at a time --will probably be soon I think). The devs managed to ruin almost everything I enjoyed about the game. I don't understand the thought process behind most of their decisions. Either way I'm sad -the game was pretty good. Now it's just void of fun.
  8. The Dev's had no plan for actual new content and just wanted to make the gear grind as long as possible. That's fun right?
  9. I left a similar note when I cancelled my sub. I haven't been playing for as long as you. Only started regularly playing for maybe a year (8 or 9 months) I think. I went back to ESO for now. I've been playing MMO's for years and this update is the worst I've ever seen. A bad update/expansion has never made me quit a game before until this one.
  10. True... with Copero and Nathema people will only usually stay if there is a stealth character that is willing to run to the boss / bosses. Umbara is annoying because the train section can be laggy for some and buggy (those turrets with stealth detection that force the team to suicide if someone doesn't know you can't stealth around them stink). SoV is just long and people generally want to do quicker flashpoints. At least that's been my experience doing a lot of the vet flashpoints via groupfinder.
  11. It saved me 15 dollars a month? Seriously tho, I liked the character loadouts, combat styles, shared tagging, and new galactic season.
  12. Legacy of the Sith is the best expansion ever --and the players love it!
  13. I killed him without much trouble as well, but I've seen videos of people bugging out during the fight and falling through the floor.
  14. Yeah I made a comment in another companion thread and was immediately labelled a noob that should just learn how to play better. Whoever it was (I don't remember who) made this assumption based only on the fact that I said companions are bad now. I didn't even play a lot of content with companions (I mostly did flashpoints and ops), but that doesn't mean I want companions to suck for everyone. I don't understand why elitist players want to make things as hard as possible for casual players.
  15. I feel the same way. I've played a lot of MMO's over the years and this is the first time that an expansion/update has made me quit/unsubscribe from a game. I've seen some garbage expansions in other games, but this one is by far the worst. All the fun/enjoyment I used to get from the game has been stripped away so completely it's actually impressive.
  16. I think the devs knew they weren't really going to implement much in the way of actual new content to play so they made sure to make the gear grind gated and as grindy as possible. MMO's always have grind and players can accept that, but some MMO's manage to implement said grind in a way that doesn't make it feel so tedious. The new system in swtor unfortunately are not fun.
  17. I think the combat styles and loadouts were probably two of the only positive things implemented in 7.0. I understand your argument, but think about how little the devs have done with this update and think about what your asking. They couldn't get what little they did right so imagine messing with the classes even more.
  18. The thing is if you think companions are too strong you can use a low level one... or don't use one at all. Problem solved. But if you enjoy using good companions there is no alternative right now.
  19. Old gear system wasn't grindy enough. So they had to make a new more grindy system since they didn't create much in the way of new content to play.
  20. I wasn't a fan of this change either. I used to pick up weeklies and dailies and then just finish them at my leisure. Now they want them done within their allotted time or poof gone. Not really sure why this was changed. I mean who cares how long it takes you to do them? It's not like this was hurting anyone.
  21. What I don't understand about people like this is why they have to ruin it for everyone. If your so god damn epic at the game then run without a comp while us plebs get to enjoy them. The answer isn't nerfing them into the ground for everyone.
  22. I'm gonna have to go ahead and disagree. I used to play daily before 7.0 dropped. My endgame experience wasn't Hammer Station/Toborro's Courtyard. During the week I would run vet flashpoints with groupfinder unless lots of guildies were on then I would run master mode flashpoints. Some days you would get a few hammer stations, but others I wouldn't get any (particularly on MM you would hardly ever get it). On the weekends we would do operations. We would only do Toborro's if it was on the random rotation that week and would then run a longer op afterwards.
  23. I've accepted that they ruined the game for me and it's not gonna get a rewind so I cancelled my subscription as well. They very thoroughly managed to ruin how I enjoyed playing. It's actually impressive. It definitely is a shame because I really enjoyed the game and was looking forward to the galactic season.
