  1. Yeah, it is quite ridiculous that this isn't patched already with how much it breaks the spec. Furthermore, I don't really understand how something like this gets past QA with how immediately obvious it is. Didn't anyone bother to test the proc at least once?
  2. I reported it as a bug in game with the /bug command is what I meant. Thank you for making that thread! Seems to still be here as of 5.0a, so I will bump it.
  3. It would seem they want people to be more dedicated to their choice of side. Take this for example from the official patch notes - According to this you can't just pick whatever side is winning and still reap the rewards if the alignment is a mismatch. They didn't want people to be able to easily switch alignments I guess so that there is more permanence in the system. With that being said though, it seems like it would take a new character forever to reach the new alignment tiers unless they have some sort of system in place for gaining alignment fast for them. It says the losing side will gain more points, but I didn't notice a very large increase, so I don't think that would bridge the gap by itself.
  4. I was pretty disappointed by this change too. Their excuse of it possibly being recurring doesn't fly with me. If that was the case, why not just keep the achievements but remove the DvL eligibility from characters at the end of each event, like they did anyways? So that we have to repeat it from the beginning every time the event shows up? Forget that.
  5. Yeah, the bugs are pretty bad. The one for my Darkness Assassin is actually beneficial, but for my Shield Tech it practically breaks the class for me. I don't understand how the shield tech bug got pushed through, it is really obvious and completely breaks your rotation. I noticed something was wrong within the first 5 seconds of hitting a target dummy. They would have to basically never try to QA run the new changes to not notice it.
  6. I logged in to find my shield techs firestorm proc to be bugged to the point of crippling my rotation, and my darkness assassins stance seems to be applying its bonuses twice or something.
  7. Just a heads up, I just got around to messing with the changes and it seems that the procs for these abilities might not be removing the resource cost like they should. What was once a much needed free resource spot in the rotation is now adding 20 heat for me, which makes it pretty unbearable to use. I personally can't speak for Ion Storm, but Firestorm/Flame Engine for sure is suffering from this issue. I already bugged it, just getting this out there in case you were doing the same thing as before and wondering why your resources were out of control. Edit - It seems that what is actually happening is the proc isn't consumed but the damage bonus is still applied for whatever reason. The proc buff stays up and the golden animation around the skill continues while in cooldown.
  8. It sounds like the later parts of this song to me, "Deception, The Sith Warrior" (Should start at the beginning of the song I'm talking about) Check the description in the video for the song names/starting points. I admit I didn't check it thoroughly, however if it isn't that song I would recommend along the same path of finding it, by checking all of the official soundtracks on youtube. Starts 38:08, Ends 43:17
  9. Yes it is bugged, and yes they are aware of it. They will grant you this helmet (and Kalligs Lightsaber) if you ticket it. I'm not just spreading hearsay either, I received this response and the helmet myself through in game support a few weeks ago.
  10. This is handled through the "collections" screen. Go to your inventory and click on collections, and find the items in the categories there. You may or may not have to spend extra CC to unlock the items for your whole account. It should tell you if they are unlocked for other characters or not, and if they are that is also where you claim a copy of it on other characters.
  11. I have to agree with there being way too much CC in these chapters. Especially on trash mobs in general. They aren't challenging with or without the CC, it is simply an annoyance that should be reserved for harder mobs. It reminds me of Orr upon GW2 release. To be fair it still is kind of annoying there, but not nearly as much.
  12. I would recommend going to "The Harbinger", which is the most populated US server
  13. This is an old issue in MMO's where you can't please everyone. You can't have a world that feels big if you can quick travel everywhere, immediately. However, many people prefer to sacrifice this for them to feel like they aren't wasting their time. "Don't quick travel then" isn't a pleasing solution either - humans always seek the path of least resistance, and self imposed rules rarely feel right or satisfying in any game. I feel like there is a good middle ground to be achieved, like in Asheron's Call. The world was massive (500 sq. miles) and had portals to travel around, but they didn't get you everywhere. Often you would have to take several portals to get to a destination, or close to it. Of course, none of this means anything if you don't also have a reason to be there in the first place after leveling, but that is a much longer conversation. The main problem for developers is people don't know what they want to begin with. Anything tedious is complained away into nothingness, but the end result of having zero tedium is a shallow world. FFXI for me was a good example of a game that while it had many tedious things, it was also the most immersive MMO I have ever played. Many people I have witnessed blame this on impatient younger gamers, but I find it is the opposite. In my experience it is actually my generation of players who have outgrown the stage in their life where they could devote the majority of their day playing an MMO.
  14. There is some pretty embarrassing stuff like this. Maybe they fixed it by now, but last time I checked the blue versatile stim for grade 9 also still gave the stats for the defensive one for example. Single modders from various game modding communities put in more effort and fix simple things like this faster than the SWTOR team - and many of them have regular jobs and do it in their off time.
  15. Yeah, I did this recently with the solo modes for both actually. I hope they update the quest information. A lot of things about it are outdated though, for example you still get a bunch of droid companion gear you can't equip anymore when you finish the quest line as well.
