  1. As the title tells, here's a suggestion: STOP messing around with companion returns! You handed my class companions (commando specifically, but some other classes as well) out to everyone who came nearby, and now suddenly there's the 180-degrees turn and companions are given to specific classes only?! After, like I already said, my class companions were handed out like a candy? What kind of braindead person decides these things? You don't just do a "turn-around-screw-the-previous-stuff" kinda move like that, you either let them all come back like previously or you go back and fix other class companions as well. This is absolutely stupid.
  2. What the hell is it with these last returning companions!? You've sold out my main class companions (commando, but several other classes as well) to literally EVERYONE who asked and even to those who didn't, and now you're going the "class only" way for remaining ones? What the heck? Fix then the friggin' story and make my class companions also limited. Sheesh, with each passing day things are only getting more ridiculous..
  3. What the hell, you add THREE nerfs in one smack to Boltstorm? First reduce the damage, then also take away damage bonus it received from a passive ability and then also increase the cost?I've been playing commando since beta, Gunnery commando specifically since that's what the commando and cannon is all about - plant your feet firmly down and then spray plasma in the face of incoming enemy. Not some silly squirty DoT stuff. And throughout the whole darn game BW's "idea" for DPS of this class/skill combo is to have it lag behind the others. Even between the abilities within the class itself it lagged behind, because some bookworm accountant in BW decided that the "squirty" skilltree is supposed to do more damage. Then finally over some years the class and that skill tree receives some bonuses which bring it close to other ranged DPS class and now BW's planning to screw this up again. Any "pure DPS" class outperformed my commando easily, assuming they actually knew how to play the class, but at the very least my commando wasn't a dead weight anymore. I like Star Wars but Bioware is messing this game up just as it is messing up every other game they're doing lately. Most of my friends already left because they can't stand this nonsense and I am pretty much last "die hard" nutcase left, even then I am only playing on OPS and through the new content when it's added, because the game is annoying. At least the OPS were fun to do with my commando. And now BW with their stupid "our target is to make this dead weight class again" goals is about to screw things up again. Soon there's pretty much no point to play this game, any fun it might have in it is being killed off by BW..
  4. Well, frick on a stick, I work 12+ hours a day, figure I come home and play some game because, you know, there's NO way they're not done with the patching by now, right? And what do I see? The thing's still going on! Now it's past 22:00 here, I'm tired from long work day but cannot relax with some gameplay, guild raid evening is screwed up because, guess what, servers are not up.. Bleh. Some additional news would be nice, you know, to be able to figure out whether there will be any gameplay at all on this late evening.
  5. They're kidding, right? I mean, it's an April's Fool joke, a warm-up for it? So they want to add another set of annoying grinding levels to already existing extremely annoying system and think that it is a "happy news" in any way or form? Are they completely oblivious to the fact that pretty much everything about this system is already hated as it is and now they're only pouring more oil into the fire with this news? I've been a subscriber since the early launch of this game, but honestly, I am questioning this more and more with all of these new "features". I hate frikkin' grinding with passion and all they do is add more of it. With each bits of news and changes like this they're adding to the game the whole thing is more and more looking like it's not really worth it..
  6. Personally I don't care about animal mounts at all. I like tech mounts. But even that's not what I wanted to say, however this is: 1) First we would need actual flying mounts. How silly it is to have interstellar travel, all this tech available and no mount which can actually fly? Not to mention all the areas which would be cool to use with flying mounts and yet there aren't any? 2) Mounts which can take on more then one person. Say people group up and group leader summons the mount. Others then right click on group leader portrait and select "Board" and they get seated. Group leader will then do the driving. Anyone who wants to get off (at any point) just hits the space key and then jumps off the vehicle. There could be mounts which take on 2 people and mounts which can take on the whole group (different shapes and sizes of course). 3) Mounts usable also inside operations and flashpoints (where they're not yet), it's silly needing to run on foot all those distances from entrance to the boss while each person has several mounts he/she could use to speed up the traveling. What's up with that restriction anyway, makes no sense at all?
  7. For some reason I doubt that it'll be a planet. BW failed to add such a basic MMO feature like swimming into the game and now they'd add a whole water planet? Highly doubtful. So they probably add some flashpoint - which is boring - and maybe some daily area like CZ, which is even more boring. It would be different if there would be: More class story; More companion story; New class; New races; PvE space content in GSF style; Class balance within the class (i.e. all spec trees should be viable); But more flashpoints and more daily areas? Pfft.. Won't stop me from canceling my sub.
  8. Hook system? Really? How lame. Free placement beats hook system any day and time, people can then make truly unique and personal things. But hooks? Outdated and pointless system. Housing being made for SWToR will still be sadly only third grade compared to several titles out there, which support freeform. Only limit there is the item limit per building, other then that place what you want, where you want, how you want. Can place item anywhere, resize it in any way, turn or tilt in any direction, raise or lower and what not else. This system is just an unfortunate pre-determined Lego plaything, sadly. I guess it was too much to expect a housing system like it was in SWG, to which only Wildstar has gotten close.
  9. I am not a healer commando, don't care about healing gameplay as such myself, but the fact is that all healers should be equal in all matters in the game to avoid the situation where one healer class will be overlooked because it just cannot cleanse or purge Force/Mental effects. ALL healer classes should be able to cleanse/purge ALL effects equally. Do NOT limit commando AoE ability by targets. Most annoying and silly restriction. Other healer classes will heal anyone and everyone who is within their AoE healing range but commando is the only "poor shmuck" who's AoE heal is limited to 4 targets? Remove this silly limitation. Make so that ALL DPS trees are viable and produce equal amount of good DPS. I personally like Gunnery skill tree, I mostly play PvE and I feel that it suits my cannon-toting ways more, but I am getting more and more annoyed by the fact that the DoT skill trees seem to overpower the "straight up shooting" trees (and not just for commando, other classes as well). All DPS trees should provide equal DPS, the difference would be in mobility. I see Gunnery being as more stationary (like it is now) and thus suits PvE perhaps more, while Assault would be more mobile combat method and would suit for example PvP more. So fix these silly DPS differences between DPS skill trees and make them both equally viable.
  10. Yes, how dare they be such an unimaginative bunch and add stupid fireworks no-one cared about the first time around when these appeared and most players destroyed them as soon as they got them! And GS paintjobs, indeed, for those who don't give a rat's tail about that feature anyway! Free stuff or no, they need to use more imagination when giving rewards to customers who have stayed loyal since the game was launched, to show their appreciation and simply to say "thanks for sticking with us!" instead of completely useless and boring crap. Add some nice minipet, like a jawa or something and so on, something what will not affect the gameplay but is fun to have and to show at the same time, instead of completely bland and boring and useless stuff in every instance.
  11. How about also writing in that article something like: "One thing must be noted - this space flight feature has nothing to do with our game's story. It is in no way tied to the story line and will not be used in any story telling capacity. It is only used in Player-versus-Player gameplay which leaves a huge part of our paying customers hanging dry, since they do not care or partake in that gameplay and thus get no use out of it. Current Player-versus-Environment setting is old even for the 80's but it's something what the PvE players have to put up with. Star Wars - where the actual "wars" among the "stars" doesn't really happen story wise". Be honest when you announce some feature, it is pretty much lying to the customers when you first claim adding a feature and later they find out that it's just for a small niche and has nothing to do with actual gameplay or story, at all. And just to add - ignoring PvE players when 2014 is around the corner is not smart, seeing how 2 major next generation MMO titles are coming out in 2014: Everquest Next and The Elder Scrolls Online (and even one very strong "runner up" MMO - Wildstar). Making a major gameplay feature change for only one specific group while totally ignoring the rest is like asking for trouble, and you can be certain that the trouble will come if PvE players and their wishes are ignored.
  12. Yadda yadda yadda.. No, we don't want any of that nonsense. You're forgetting that there's a huge paying customer base who don't give a jack about that content and who are being all the time ignored. There has been several PvP specific updates. If you think that those who play the game differently have no right to express their opinion and it's worthless then your whining is even less so. So cork it yourself.
  13. And what about PvE space content for those who don't give a cr... nothing about boring grinding PvP? Or you're just gonna ignore half the customers in the game?
  14. Great, more PvP junk so that PvP players can whine even more on fleets. And completely useless for those who don't give a womprat's tail about the boring mindless grind that the PvP is. Pretty much a whole update which is completely useless.
  15. As far as I care VG/PT are fine. They were way overbalanced for a very long time, packing more punch then specialized DPS classes. VG/PT are still very fine as tanks in WZ's. I rather see them improve Commando which has been a laugh of a class in that area since the beta.
  16. Sorry but that is a crappy armor. There's plenty of armors like that in the game and small differences between them do not mean much, still the same thing in the end. And yes, I play a commando as main and I want a heavy armor set as well. Moddable, all 7 pieces. But I want a HEAVY ARMOR. Something massive and powerful, something - if say some enemy sees you - what makes the enemy thing "Oh damn, that's a walking tank, I rather run head first through a mountain than take this one on!". For example, something in the style of power armor from Fallout 3. And before anyone cries "but but but this is SW" then I did not say I want Fallout power armor in SW game, I said something in that style - massive, real heavy armor, really bada** looking. For example: Power Armor Another power armor And yet another one You get the idea. Heavy armor which really is heavy armor, not some lousy sweatpants with plastic bottle pieces glued onto it.
  17. There are a lot of things which are incorrect or what achievements do not pick up. With one operation what I've done in every mode, countless times, every stat is correct. With another operation what I've done equally countless times and in every mode possible nothing is shown. As if I've never even been there. Event related achievements are off, I've killed Xenoanalyst II in every mode several times on several chars and not for a single char is this registered at all. Class specific ones are messed up or missing. For example, it seem that I cannot finish the companion related achievement at all, because my Sith warrior is a dark sider and the padawan minion is also dark side with max 10000 affection. So this is registered, but apparently the achievement system also requires padawan light side 10000 affection - excuse me, that's kind of impossible to get. These should be mutually exclusive, either the dark side affection or the light side affection, cannot have both on one char. Basically, this needs an update or fix because it has not picked up A LOT of values and it has several inconsistencies or errors in it.
  18. Binoculars are fine. An interesting thing and easy to use. Seeker droids... Sheesh, what can I say. ANNOYING! Really, I do not want to spend ages trying to dig some stuff out and neither waste my cash to buy some short lasting "buffs" to "make it give a bit more feedback". Honestly, make it simple and quick - always at the end of "self location scan" point to correct direction. When within 10 meters, give a green light, between 10 and 20 - yellow, over 20 - red. Also the droid should excavate the right stuff out even when it's near'ish to the object, not right on top of it. I am right now avoiding these seeker droid quests when I can since it's annoying, I don't want to waste a lot of time trying to pinpoint a needlepoint sized spot on the ground what I have to exactly hit - with very crappy directions at that - to have any chance of completing the mission or getting an update.
  19. Most well known, and even not-so-well-known MMO's have player housing. SWG had one of the.. No, THE best housing system in all MMO's I've played (and I've played A LOT of them). Everquest 2 for example, also SOE game, has a very good housing system as well, since the game launch over 7 years ago. And then there's SWToR which should have had such an obvious thing since the game launch and.. nope. Nothing. Even the "personal starship" isn't personal at all since we cannot design or do anything there, every jedi ship looks the same. Every sith ship looks the same. There is absolutely nothing personal in any "personal ship". They're bloody clones. Seeing as BW missed the obvious, it's hard to even imagine when they'll get up and do it. Guild halls, personal houses both big and small, personal apartment rooms, really personal ships, heck guild ships.. Seeing how the things are going, BW will probably make these things to be a Cartel Store bought features, to boot..
  20. This "mentoring" system is used in Everquest 2 and is a very good system to help out lower level players, be they guildmates, their alts, friends, friend alts. The system where higher level will be lowered down to the level of the person he's mentoring that is. It's a system which should be already in this game.
  21. I agree, this is a stupid issue. I have some old operations armors I don't use but I could upgrade my droids on all of my chars, IF these dang armorings could be fitted. Yet another example of BW's "skilled coding"...
  22. Bioware needs to put out events and things that make sense. Something what people can also achieve. No one's saying that everyone should be able to get everything right away, but when content is made so that many will not be able to get even something out of it, then it's bad work and bad planning. And whoever from Bioware got the idea that grinding is fun should be fired right away. There's nothing more annoying in the game then grinding...
  23. Race change and character looks change after the char creation should have been already in the game. At the very least it should be added soon, considering that these are very wanted features. Heck most MMO's have this feature since launch (at least the "barber" feature to change the looks).
  24. It should really be in the game. Heck in SW lore we have plenty of imperials going "republicans", sith going jedi, jedi going sith and what not else. It's a part of the whole SW lore and universe and yet it's not in the game. Heck, Revan was a jedi, then sith, then jedi and then "a freelancer". It really should be an option in the game, where char who reaches light 5 or dark 5 can have an option to change the side. Sure, it should be a quest line since you need to sever your ties with one side, prove to them that you really mean it, help them to raise your disposition towards them and then, at the end of the quest line, you'll become the member of other side. I don't even mind if it's available just once per char, since there would be no need really to switch the sides with every tide, so to say. But it should be in the game. Take Everquest 2, there is such an option. You can start on "good side" which is Qeynos, or on "evil side" which is Freeport. Classes in EQ2 are also somewhat similar on either side, but not as much as they're in SWToR and yet SoE did pull it off and added such a feature. I don't expect BW to add this right away but it definitely should be an option in future.
  25. Forget Nintendo and all what cumbayaa, Star Wars Galaxies had good space combat. Many ship types available to player, starting from small fighters to heavy fighters to bomber types to larger ships. Ships which were operated by solo player, by two players (rear gunner + pilot/frontal gunner) to ships which could be operated by a whole group (pilot, engineer - managed shields and power, and then gunners). There were even "social ships", like luxury space yachts which could take on a group or even a whole guild if you wanted, had several decks and could be decorated by players, so you could really have a flying luxury space home. And space flight was an actual flight, you could fly whichever way you wanted, between planets as well, just find the appropriate hyperspace buoy and link to it and make a jump. Space combat could have been done solo, or with a friend in group, or a full group. Heck there were even larger space "raids" where whole guild could get into space and attack some enemy force, taking off waves of fighters, minibosses and ending with an attack on enemy capital ship. We had players in all kinds of ship taking part in such attacks, starting from smaller fighters ending with these big full group ships. You could customize the ship look and ship look changed also accordingly to the ship components used. Different engines had different looks, different weapons had their own looks, etc. Heck there was so much in SWG space and there's literally nothing in SWToR space. SWToR space system was old already in 90's and yet they added it now. It's a really really sad thing. I love space flight and space combat and space exploration myself but in SWToR I just don't do it, because it's a joke. I definitely hope that they'll get their act together one day and make a truly good space exploration/combat/travel/fun system but I'm not holding my breath yet.
