  1. No worries. War room in Odessen has what you're looking for. The vendors don't seem to show up on the minimap, but they're there.
  2. There's vendors in Odessen, after you finish chapter 9. 220, or radiant, gear is in the main vendor area. 208 and 216 gear is available from vendors in your war room. Those take common and glowing crystals. I've heard there's also vendors on fleet for the 208,216,220 stuff, but I haven't been back there yet.
  3. I had this with Nico. Turns out all I had to do was interact with the data pad in the war room. Apparently, when I turned in his quest, my influence went up a level with the smuggler npc. This triggered the need to interact with the data pad, pick up the quest it gives, which completes itself when you accept it. Had me pretty frustrated until I saw the triangle on my mini map and was like "oh ho, what's that?". Hope it helps solve anyone's issue with this. Cheers!
  4. Just for reference, my user id is 15 millionsomething, been subbed since March. No lapse in my sub, though, so I'm enjoying early access.
  5. Sure you can. Pay for this month do chapters 1-9 and quit. Come back at the end of this expansion, pay for a month and do the rest. I guess that's 2 months sub, but you can also choose to wait until all chapters are released, sub for one month, and do it all then.
  6. Did you actually summon any companions and check to see if they're still equipped? Confused me at first until I actually checked em all. Turned out that whatever wasn't in my inv, was still on the companion.
  7. The following story may not apply to everyone(or anyone), but possibly some of you: A couple years ago, I had an issue with my internet connection randomly dropping quite often. I'd go through the process of re-cycling the connection by unplugging/unhooking my wireless router and modem, plugging em back in, and viola it reconnects. After about two months of this, I contacted my isp, and they asked me for the model # of the modem I was using (because it was the one I had been "renting" from them for years). Turns out that the modem was outdated tech, and they'd be sending me a new one, because the one I had was "capped at about 512kbps". Got the new one a few weeks later, and have been getting 2-4mbps dl speeds since. Not saying that's what is happening to anyone in this thread, but was just reminded of my own experience with 512kbps speed. Figured I'd pass on what fixed the issue for me. Cheers!
  8. I'm also looking for answers to this. Anyone have any info?
  9. Correct. And that was their point. The instant 60 has no way to count towards that achievement, it has to be done with characters starting from level 1.
  10. Thanks for the reply, and yeah it looks like tomorrow holds the answer I'm looking for. I was just hoping there was some concrete info on this beyond speculation based on what's been seen in live streams, or what players are interpreting "appropriate" to mean. No worries, though. We'll see what's what when the servers come back up tomorrow. Cheers!
  11. Bumping this thread because I'm curious about which classes get which crew skill, or where BW has stated that the "appropriate" skill is anything other than appropriate for the level (60), meaning level 500. The patch notes mention "level appropriate" and say nothing about "class appropriate", which I took to mean that it would just be capped at 500 and the crew skills would be ours to choose. As I already have the classes I want, I was hoping to use my free 60 to be able to get a preleveled crew skill of my choice. Are they really limiting this to the ones mentioned in this thread?
  12. Wasn't aware of that. But if your primary concern is crafting, then simply pick the class that comes with the profession you're after, yes? Admittedly, that cuts down on your options of getting three of your choice, but still makes it possible to choose cybertech to still have the ability to make the enhancements that artifice is losing.
  13. I didn't forget, I simply wasn't aware that's how it works. I'd love to read more if you have a source for this. And even if that's how it works, you can still choose the class that comes preloaded with the profession you want. Right?
  14. You don't have to. They're giving you 3 leveled profs with the free 60: "Start a New Character at Level 60! All subscribers will be granted one Start at 60 character unlock on October 27th (Subscribers with Early Access will receive their unlock on October 20th). New Level 60 Characters start the game in Chapter I: “The Hunt” ready to hit the ground running with a full set of level appropriate gear and Crew Skills. Additional level 60 character unlocks can be purchased from the Cartel Market at a later date."
  15. Take cybertech on your free level 60. Then you can still make enhancements, without having to level the profession.
  16. I understand that. I thought what the OP is talking about is having 3 saved to pending in the hopes that post 4.0 they would go from just legacy xp to also rewarding actual xp, thereby enabling him to be able to get a decent amount of xp by just accepting the rewards at login.
  17. True, but even with hoarding 3 at 54, after you turn-in the first one and hit 55 the other 2 still reward 12x because that's what it was when it went to "pending". The xp boost just adds to whatever the base reward is at the time it becomes "pending". But I suppose you could give it a shot. I wouldn't hold your breath on getting any sort of official answer to this, though. I'm still inclined to think that the hoarded rewards would just be legacy xp, but I'm wrong all the time lol.
  18. Aren't the rewards set once you finish the quest? For example, during 12x a lot of us were saving the last 3 turn-ins before dinging 55 and then turning them in all at once so that we'd get the full xp bonus. This would typically leave me just shy of 57. Seems like if we tried that now at 60, the turn-ins would only reward legacy xp, and once they become "pending" there's no retroactive change. Am i wrong in thinking this?
  19. Should be an entry in the codex for it. All datacrons have their own entry, should be in there somewhere. Edit: actually, now that I think about it, I'm not sure the fleet crons have an entry. You could go back to the museum and try looting the crystal, though. If you've already looted the crystal, it will say "nothing happens" on your screen in red.
  20. I think he meant that he searched the devs posts/ToS docs for the word "refer", not Scammy McScammerton's posts.
  21. His threads are still active, check page 3 on this forum. His threads go a touch beyond merely posting his referral link. As far as not bumping his threads go, I went the other route and posted in the one legit thread he made about the cost of character transfers. I might end up taking a hit for "naming and shaming", but I'm ok with that...
  22. Figured it out on the tablet, it's #15315926. So I was half(ish) right by merely channeling Tommy Tutone... Science!
  23. Sweet, Amarok helped me help two others in killing the Shroud last night. Awesome player, all class. As for me, I'm fairly new. Started playing in March of this year. Currently on a tablet, so I'm not sure how to check my number. Just going to make up a number now, and I'll check it later to see how close I was: Ummm.... #8675309?
