  1. It's been bugged like that for a long time now, and yes it is annoying. That would not be a good idea right now, because of another annoying bug. If you craft cell grafts / assembly components / etc., put them in the materials stash, and then pull them out to deconstruct, you don't get the proper mats in return (like augment kit components, you get zero of those).
  2. That monitor isn't 4k, it's 1080p, so your cursor shouldn't have gotten any smaller (unless your last monitor was under 1080p). It's basically two 1080p monitors side by side. 4k usually refers to 2160p.
  3. Armormech Alacrity Augment 73 Chance to research a schematic: 10% Accuracy 73 (Armstech) and Critical 73 (Synthweaving) augments both had a 20% chance, so I'm assuming this is a bug. I deconstructed 15 alacrity augs to see if it was actually 10%, and it seems to be (didn't learn the schematic).
  4. This absolutely needs to happen. Getting all the fancy new gear, making sure it all has the best mods and enhancements, grinding conquest for the mats to craft the new augments, and then going in to 95% of "end game content" to find that all that stuff is useless due to stat caps when we're downgraded to level 70... feels bad man. FR and SA relics, attack adrenals, new augments, all the 2pc set bonuses that give 2% mastery, and everything else that boosts your power or mastery, are all completely useless when you're scaled down to lvl 70. They (just recently?) made Force Empowerment work in level 70 stuff, but that just makes me worried that they have no plans to re-scale everything to 75. We went from all ops and fp's being end game content, to just one op and one fp that are actually end game content where gearing up matters. This can't be the goal for end game. Everything was scaled up to 70 for reasons, and for those same reasons, everything needs to be scaled up again to 75. Scaling the player down just screams "We are underfunded and understaffed, so we need to take shortcuts, even if it makes for a terrible experience."
  5. Satele Shan just lagged out hard for me, tried to log out when latency hit 45000ms and got stuck on a loading screen. Alt+F4 was my only choice.
  6. When you hover your mouse over the node, it will say "Requires Archaeology (600)". If your skill is below that level (I see yours is 345 in the screenshot), you will only get Jawa Scrap, which is better (for you) than just not being able to harvest it. That's how it used to be, if your skill level was below the level required, you couldn't harvest it at all. If there are other people trying to harvest in the area, you're kinda wasting the node and not getting anything really useful other than skill level increases. You'd be better off harvesting in a lower level area to increase your skill while getting useful (but old) mats.
  7. Other than a few bugs, my only major complaint is that everything that was scaled up to 70 wasn't re-scaled to 75. My main incentive to play the game and grind things out is to gear up for ops and fp's, as it stands now there is only one op and one fp that gearing up is actually useful for. Getting all the fancy new gear, making sure it all has the best mods and enhancements, grinding conquest for the mats to craft the new augments, and then going in to 95% of "end game content" to find that all the gear is pretty much useless due to stat caps when we're downgraded to level 70... feels bad man. Sage's force empowerment, FR and SA relics, attack adrenals, new augments, all the 2pc set bonuses that give 2% mastery, and everything else that boosts your power or mastery, are all completely useless when you're scaled down to lvl 70. So we went from all ops and fp's being end game content, to just one op and one fp that are actually end game content where gearing up matters. Other than that it's a pretty good xpack for being free to subscribers. I would gladly pay extra for a SoR sized xpack again.
  8. Ok I re-read what Eric said. That is where it should stop, as that makes sense. It definitely should always drop items usable in that spec. But then Eric said this: Usable by your spec SHOULD NOT MEAN BASE CLASS. Like what the hell?? That makes no sense. At the very least, it should mean advanced class... but really it should be changed from "usable by your spec" to "USEFUL for your spec". Big difference between those two words. "That specific set may seem more useful for a healer"?!? So an Assassin can get a Sorc set as a drop, as intended apparently, and it may seem more useful for a Sorc? It buffs abilities that only a Sorc has, specifically madness Sorc abilities, and it may seem more useful for a Sorc? To me that seems quite useless for an Assassin. So what is the point of this thread? Clearly the loot toggle means absolutely nothing since apparently it's intended that you can get drops that aren't even for your advanced class from personal loot like various crates. Are there instances of people getting personal loot drops for a different class altogether? If not, then apparently there is no bug. Why are so many people complaining then? Because of bad design. Spec specific set drops aren't very common, so they should at least be useful for that character, either for their spec or for the spec they have selected in the loot toggle.
  9. It's not just a distance/range thing. There is a delay from when any ability should be usable to when it shows that it is usable. Abilities that aren't usable until the target is under 30% HP won't light up for a few seconds after that point, gunslinger's trickshot that is only usable after using certain abilities doesn't light up for a few seconds (and that's only usable for 5 seconds, so you could totally miss that window unless you know it should be usable), abilities that just came off cooldown won't light up until a few seconds after, etc. Getting stunned is the worst, all your abilities are lit up for a few seconds while you're stunned and stay dark for a few seconds after you are no longer stunned, and your CC breaker doesn't light up right away either. In a big mess of mobs and stuff it's hard to tell when you're stunned and when you're not. Smashing away at your buttons.. "Why is nothing working?!? Oh I'm stunned." This needs to be fixed ASAP! Just revert the little changes you made to the UI, like adding commas to longer numbers. It's not like they were huge QoL improvements, or even very noticeable changes. Go back to the old UI code that worked for years until you figure out what you did to completely break it. Nobody cares about those little changes, but everybody cares that you broke it. This should be and needs to be a quick fix, and it's been a week.
  10. Been that way since they came out in 2013, along with the Volatile Conqueror's saber and saberstaff. Looks bad, and many people have posted about it over the years, but clearly they don't care. Looks really bad on a sent/mara with two sabers.. both guards point to the left, so one clips into your leg and the other clips into your arm.
  11. Your class role and spec? Telekinetics Sage (DPS) Your toggled role (if different)? Current Discipline (Telekinetics) Current item rating? 306 Where did you receive the item? Conquest Crates (guild target reward) Exactly what item did you receive? Revitalized Mystic's set for Seer (Heals) - Robe, Lower Robe, and Belt Each week that I complete my personal conquest target, I get another piece of that healer set from the guild target reward (large crate twice and medium crate once). I also have Empowered Restorer's Boots (Heals again) and Endless Offensive Lower Robe (proper drop for my spec), but I don't remember where those came from. So 1 out of 5 set piece drops was for my spec.
  12. I'm having the same issue. Sometimes it's more than a second, sometimes less, but there's always a delay. You can reproduce this by just targeting something out of range to make them go dark, and then clearing your target to light them up again. I've seen a delay of up to 3 seconds before my abilities will light up / go dark. I tried forcing a verify/repair a couple times by deleting the bitraider folder but it didn't help. It was working perfectly fine yesterday. In addition to being stunned or just getting into range, the delay is also problematic if you run out of force and your abilities go dark, they won't light up as soon as you have enough force again. It's making combat difficult and annoying. My Specs: i9 9900k, RTX2080ti, 32GB RAM, Win10 v1809, 175Mbps fiber at around 60ms latency (from central Canada) on the Satele Shan server. Edit: Made a video
  13. Everything that was scaled to 70, not just ops, should be re-scaled to level 75. When you decided to scale everything up to max level so that everything was end game content, you should have been prepared to re-scale everything when you decided to increase the max level. There is now 1 op and 1 flashpoint that are end game content. That is half the end game content that you had when you decided to scale everything up. All the new augments that take a ridiculous amount of mats to craft are completely useless for everything but 1 op and 1 fp. The SA and FR relics are completely useless for everything but 1 op and 1 fp. Force Empowerment and attack adrenals used for burn phases do nothing for you now. No point gearing with high power mods and enhancements, only thing that matters there now is the acc/alac/crit being 431. I'm sure I'm missing other things that are now useless for everything but that 1 op and 1 fp. Scaling the player back and giving them a buff based on item level, instead of re-scaling the content, seems lazy. You chose the solution that took the least amount of effort, and it feels bad. This half-assed, lazy approach is just silly for a game that has made a billion dollars. This is the only Star Wars MMO out there, and so many more people would play it if more effort was put in to it. I left to WoW for 3 years because you stopped releasing expansions with group content, but kept my sub going most of that time in hopes that we would get a proper expansion. Many people there said they would play SWTOR if it had regular expansion releases, especially since the latest WoW expansion was unpopular and people were searching for other MMOs to play. Most people that left went to FFXIV, ESO, GW2, and other games that have gotten more content updates over the last few years. It feels like there is still a very limited development team working on this game with very limited funds. If that is the case, WHY is that the case? This game could be, and should be, a lot more popular. I was super excited to see a proper expansion come out with a new operation and everything, I thought maybe EA was actually going to invest in this game a bit. Seeing that players were scaled down instead of everything being re-scaled to 75, showed me they weren't willing to invest much and there still needed to be minimal-effort shortcuts taken. You could take the WoW approach and release more end game group content more often, while leaving the old stuff alone with no down-scaling, or you could take your old approach and scale everything up to be end game content. What you shouldn't do, is leave everything scaled to 70 the way it is. It feels good to be able to solo old ops that you out-level, and it feels good to gear up and get stronger for end game content. What doesn't feel good is gearing up to "BiS" and then being scaled back for almost everything. The power and mastery caps make so many things useless. It really feels bad. TLDR: Down scaling players for ops and fps is lazy and bad, scaling up old content is okay, more new ops and fps is best. Also I went off on a bit of a tangent to say - more effort = more players = more money.
  14. Unsubbed and done. Seriously seems like this game is now being run by two guys in one of their mom's basements. Beyond ridiculous. A disgrace to the Star Wars name!
  15. Not all game companies... this is just BW being lazy . Take Blizzard and WoW for example, if loot rules are agreed on at the start of the raid and the master looter doesn't follow those rules, Blizzard will take action. They have full access to all the evidence they need in chat logs. The reason they take action is because this is an MMO, you have to group with people to do stuff. If one person can ruin the fun of 7, 15, or 24 others by stealing the loot, they will punish that one person instead of letting all the others be pissed off. Why? Because they'd like to keep those other X number of players around. It's called keeping your customers happy. Telling people to join a guild or only run with people you know is just plain silly. Start a group yourself? But nobody knows you so they shouldn't join your group. Against the rules or not, you have to be a special kind of ******e to do this kind of thing. Just because you know you aren't going to be punished for something, doesn't mean you should do it, especially when you know it's wrong and it's going to piss people off. Do you also spit in all the burgers at the fast food place you work at? When walking down the street do you knock ice cream cones of out kids' hands?
  16. Don't forget the extra 220 token you get from each boss... you're getting double the rewards for doing NiM!! I just don't understand what's going through their heads in regards to this issue. Just have NiM bosses drop a 224 token along with some 224 mk-2 junk, and let people gear up the way they want. Give people the choice to run an easy HM or a more challenging NiM while gearing up their team. Why limit the choices? You aren't slowing down gear progression with the priority HM only dropping 224's. All you're doing is pissing people off by limiting their choices. So instead of slowing the gearing down or whatever your reasoning was, you made people leave the game. Just fix it and put an end to this issue maybe? Sure it's a bit late, but better late than never...
  17. JMCA you are a moron. Just stop... you're making yourself look more stupid with every post. You're also being an ******e to everyone that doesn't play the game the same way you do. Wasn't that one of your complaints about raiders? You are not the majority, stop acting like you know what everyone wants, or should want. Solo players = minority Raiders = minority PvPers = minority Not one group is more important than the next. Solo players + Raiders + PvPers = money Solo players + Raiders - PvPers = less money Solo players - Raiders - PvPers = even less money Less money = less devs = less content for everyone, and less bug fixes for all content (yes, the stuff you play too). NOBODY with at least half a brain would want to get rid of a group of players from the game. Example: If you are subbed to only play solo content and $15/mo is the only money you spend on the game, while I am subbed only to raid but I also buy hypercrates and stuff from the CM, then I am helping to pay for more solo content than you are. Get rid of me and you get less solo content. Look at how many of these solo players have stated that they'll just sub to get new content and then unsub after. If a raider wants to raid week after week, he either has to stay subbed or buy ops passes. Who is paying for the solo content in this situation? If there are enough raiders subbed to the game, there's enough money to pay for ops development without it affecting other content. If there's more than enough subbed to pay for it, there's more money for all content = better for everyone. Whether you like it or not, all types of players in an MMO are important to said MMO. Ignore or get rid a group of people and everyone suffers with less content and less bugs being fixed in a timely fashion. Lots of raiders left after SoR, as did lots of PvPers and lots of solo players. Re-playing the same storyline solo may have kept some people around for a year, but re-playing the same ops and same pvp matches also kept people around, keeping the game alive. What part of the game kept more people playing and spending money? I don't care because they are all important parts of the same game. KotFE brought a bunch of those solo players back for the story, but with no new ops it didn't bring back many raiders who left. Same goes for the PvPers who left due to lack of content. What happened to new KotFE chapters being released every month? What's up with all the broken stuff not getting fixed for a month or more? Not enough money... ... I'll let you ponder that for a bit. Get rid of more people and the only new content you will see is new stuff to buy on the Cartel Market. The problem is NOT one type of player, the problem is EA pissing off all types of players. Lack of content, bugs not being fixed, bad decisions, broken promises, etc. are pushing all types of players away, and it's not doing anyone any good. TLDR; All types of players are important to an MMO, more players = more money = more content for everyone along with timely bug fixes. Without enough people, there won't be enough money for (insert content type you like to play). So JMCA is a moron for wanting to get rid of more players, possibly just a troll, but a moron nonetheless.
  18. Nightmare mode requires more coordination and effort than hard mode, so why doesn't it drop the highest rating gear? Or why will all but the last boss only have a chance to drop it when the highlighted hard mode drops it 100%? You seem to know how gear drops are supposed to work, please tell your co-workers and/or employers why all bosses in Nightmare mode should drop the highest rating gear, and how ridiculous the current system is.
  19. Why do people feel the need to argue with each other over this issue? Whether or not YOU think the best gear should drop from the hardest difficulty is irrelevant. All MMO's, including this game up until 4.0, work that way... because it's the only way that makes sense. I know some don't like it because they're bad, and never have a chance to get the best gear with that setup, but at least it gives them something to strive for. The main problem isn't how they're handling the loot though. The main problem is EA screwed it all up with ToS and RAV HM, and being too lazy (or likely too cheap) to make three difficulties for them. The last bosses of those hard modes are tougher, or just as tough as NiM bosses, so now awarding the best gear from the toughest content is impossible. EA screwed up - tried to save money by cutting back on stuff, and will end up making less money than ever because people are leaving due to their cutbacks. Maybe some day EA will wake up to the fact that games can last for more than a few years, and cutting back isn't how they do it.
  20. Funny how Blizzard customer service actually seems to give a damn about the people playing their game. They actually take action to make people happy, and set things right in this type of situation. Quick human responses to tickets that actually help to fix your problem, like they actually have more than one person in the CS department or something. It's still clearly stated in the WoW help menu that if loot rules were agreed on beforehand and not followed by the master looter, they can and will take action. I know EA doesn't think a game can last more than a few years, because none of theirs ever have, I just wish they'd realize what they have here (the only Star Wars MMO) and how popular it could be. They aren't losing players because the game is old, or because people are losing interest in Star Wars, they lose players because stuff like this happens and they don't care (though this is just one issue among many that they don't care about). Now, while I'd much rather be playing a Star Wars MMO, I'm gonna go play some WoW.
  21. People get less interested in packs the longer they are out, they'll make more money with 'limited time' releases. That's all that really matters, right? After pushing so many people away with bad decisions and failures, they have to bleed as much money as possible from the remaining customers. There is no Bioware, there is only EA.
  22. Never use a shield on a dps, levelling/solo/grouped, just don't do it. You're choosing between the tiny chance it gives to absorb a small amount of damage, or doing more dps to kill the thing faster... always choose more dps. The faster it dies, the less total damage it does. If you're having trouble killing something solo, that's what your defensive cooldowns, medpacks, stims, and adrenals are for. Pop some defensives to absorb/dodge damage, interrupt stuff, don't stand in stupid, and pop some offensives to kill it faster. If you're doing group content and dying as a dps, someone is doing something wrong or not doing a good enough job on their role. Adding any kind of defensive gear to the dps in that group is just going to make things worse, not better. TLDR: If the thought ever crosses your mind to put defensive gear on a dps, bang your head on your desk until the idea goes away. It's never a good idea.
  23. I don't know what you're queuing for, but it's not current endgame content. I started playing WoW a few months ago and I've never sat in queue for longer than 20 minutes as a dps (Heroic and normal Draenor Dungeons). Average pop has been about 10 minutes. Cross-server grouping is amazing, I don't understand why you're arguing against it? Are you stupid or just one of those ******es that likes to argue for no good reason? How about the custom cross-server groups you can create for questing, wpvp, world bosses, and whatever else you'd want to group for? People can request to join the group if they want to do the same thing as you. That's pretty damn awesome as well. You almost never see people in chat looking for more or looking for a group. Why? Because the group finder works so well. Start a custom group in WoW for Kazzak (world boss) and it's normal to have 40 people ready to pull the boss within 5 minutes of starting the group, without anyone saying anything in gen chat. Usually takes less time, especially on Tuesday after reset. TLDR; WoW's cross-server groupfinder is amazing. SWTOR needs this. End of discussion.
  24. Wow, you just can't do anything right, can you? Are you losers having trouble getting dressed in the morning? What the hell is going on? Is the entire dev team gone, have they been replaced with interns? Monkeys? Potatoes??? You've turned this game into one big pile of crap in record time. Nerfs that went too far for some specs... NiM ops loot... broken events... login issues... random character rollbacks... subscriber rewards that clearly show how out of touch you are... and a big ol' middle finger to everyone that doesn't like it. All within two weeks. Can you please stop destroying this game?
  25. Wow, you guys are just.... so... bad. At everything lately. SWTOR: Knights of the Fallen Empire - Made by bads, for bads. Coming soon - SWTOR: No Hope Left Seriously though, you're like the fast food employees that can't get an order of burger and fries right, wanting more money for being total failures. If you are trying to piss people off and kill the game, you are doing a wonderful job. If you're trying to do anything other than that, you have failed.
