  1. In other words, I think it's totally worthwhile and it should stay the way it is.
  2. You can accept these bounty contracts with your other characters as well and collect a lot more certificates that way. You can do this event every month, so it really doesn't need to be longer than a week if you run it with more than 1 character.
  3. Hey! Ladies! Cut it out! NOW! It's HK-51 appreciation day today! (Yes! I know! Again!)
  4. I would like to see everything go on direct sale, simply because everyone should be able to buy whatever they want. Yes. I aim to please.
  5. My favourite weapon was a lightsaber called ''Life Bleeder'' or Bleeder. (Can't remember exactly!) but I don't think it's in the game anymore. I had it on my Founder's account, but I lost that account because of migration. (Lost password, inaccesible e-mail, etc!) Right now my favourite lightsaber is Solar Wrath. I like the sound it makes when it activates and deactivates. I like simple, sleek and small hilts. The colour isn't too flashy. It suits the metallic-looking bits and pieces on many armors and robes and I like cool names. I have a Juyo Sentinel. It does burn damage. So Solar Wrath makes sense. It's for the exact same reason that I like the lightsaber of Vengeful Mastery, because it's basically the same lightsaber but the name is less cool. So far I have found two pretty rare robes and really like them. Too bad they're both in the Heavy Armor category, but they will look nice on the Guardian I might create one day! I'm not trying to unify my look. I'm currently going through the game with all my characters and I equip the interesting and rare items that I find, but only if they look cool and have cool names. If they are less rare or not cool I'm selling them. (It's fun!) So basically, I don't really know what my characters will look like once I've ran them through the whole game. I like surprises!
  6. Bowdaar seems to like an awful lot of stuff.
  7. I'm not necessarily arguing my own POV all the time but I try to keep things general. I don't have much of a problem with gankers myself. I can probably defeat many of them. But it's not the first time solo players express their dislike of pre-made groups in solo Warzones, is it? It's just one of the reasons people are fed up with PvP, and that's a shame.
  8. I do, because I know for a fact a lot of people gave up on PvP altogether because of these pre-mades. It gets old real quick for solo players who are just looking for some good, clean fun. There's no fun in getting ganked by the same teams almost every single Warzone you enter.
  9. I'm going to ask you to quote my previous post containing the numbers and point out where exactly those equations are incorrect.
  10. I have heard of it, but do you think that queue-syncing will be 100% foolproof with a much heavier population that's constantly queueing? Don't you think it'll become more of a lottery?
  11. Yup. 100% + Critical Multiplier. What's your base again? (With companion bonus?) 51%? So you already get 151% at the base rate from an Auto-Critical. Now, which Auto-Critical does more damage? 900 damage with 175% (2475) on top of that or 1000 with 151% (2510) on top of that? The more you sacrifice on Critical Chance/Rating, the less you can spend on actual damage. Simple equations show that actual damage will always result in higher Criticals. The chance of landing a Critical is just slightly lower. 10-11% compared to average? Which is really not a big deal if you keep in mind that every single one of your normal hits does more damage. Plain wrong, hey?
  12. I know many will disagree but I find Critical Chance/Rating absolutely useless. You do 100 damage. You have 80% surge. = 180. You do 110 damage. You have 70% surge = 187. You do 120 damage. You have 60% surge = 192. What's the difference in having 35% critical chance or 25% Critical Chance/Rating, really? The difference is 10%. I would trade this 10% Critical Chance/Rating for actual damage. Every class has abilities and passives which already increase your Critical Chance/Rating percentages and some abilities (as well as gear bonus) even grant you Auto-Criticals or Damage Multipliers. To magnify these abilities and Auto-Criticals I'd choose damage over Critical Chance/Rating, in combination with Alacrity and Accuracy.
  13. Instead of buffing this class, I'd say these people need to welcome players into end-game PVE content regardless of class or damage output. Doing OPS is not exactly rocket-science and it's quite possible to complete NiM OPS with any combination of classes, provided you have a Tank and a Healer on your team who actually know what they are doing.
  14. Unless you're talking about the Asus ROG Strix series. They'll run SWTOR easily. To the OP: I'm currently running SWTOR on a Nvidia Geforce GTX 780 Ti and an Intel i7 Kaby Lake. ''El Cheapo'' MSI Motherboard. I've also noticed SWTOR runs better for me when using the following settings: Maximum Pre-rendered Frames: 4. V-Sync + Triple Buffering: On. I've got everything on max, including Bloom and Shadows. I'm getting 59-61 FPS all the time, and that's on a slightly dated video card! So yeah, I'm happy.
  15. I would love PvP to be solo-entry only. No more pre-mades and no more guild-fixing. If everyone would end up in randomly assembled teams that would fix a lot of balance issues already. The emphasis wouldn't be so much on gear either, but rather on improvisation and team play. Isn't that exactly what PvP should be all about? Aren't you looking for a challenge? A fair fight? If all of us were solo players in PvP then everyone would have a chance to shine. If it wasn't for all the pre-mades, PvP in general would be so much more enjoyable, so much more alive and so much more competitive for the majority of players, who are really quite casual. Today, there's almost no point entering a Warzone anymore. You're going to lose the same way, see the same tactics, encounter the same teams, the same ''experts'' with their pocket healers and the same guilds farming solo players a million times over. Not much fun if you ask me.
  16. I think it would help SWTOR a great deal if PvP was solo-entry only. This way there would be less emphasis on gear but more emphasis on team play and objectives. No more pre-mades. No more guild-fixing. You will see random group combinations all the time, which might be really bad at times, but a lot fairer in general because it'll be exactly the same for everyone else entering Warzones. This would give everyone a chance to shine which will probably make PvP more enjoyable and more competitive for the majority of players.
  17. Howdy! I know I've done a similar thread a week ago, but I felt the need to update it a little bit. This is the last post I'll create in the Suggestion Box. Accuracy & Dual Wielders: I think it would be fair if dual wielders (Sentinels/Gunslingers) could get their base off-hand accuracy raised to 80% since the off-hand damage for all dual wielders has been greatly reduced. A bit more of a balance in accuracy between our main hand and off-hand would be nice and it would probably help class balance as well. Camera Rotation Speed: The camera rotation speed for mouse input could be less sensitive, where the camera rotation speed could be more responsive for keyboard input. Character Background Passives: Just for the sake of adding a bit of replayability and variety to this game I'd like to suggest a huge number of character background passives from which we get to choose one to enhance and distinguish our character a little bit. For example: Korribani: +10 Endurance. (Harsh Combat Trials.) Alderaanian: + 10 Diplomacy. (Politics.) Tythonian: +10 Force Power. (Jedi influence.) Combo-Slots: This would enable players to place two abilities in one quickslot so these abilities activate simultaneously, provided these can be used simultaneously and the requirements are met. This could free up quickbar space and enhance our gaming experience. For example: Deadly Saber + Merciless Slash or Critical Adrenal + Blade Barrage. (etc!) Companions: It would be great if you could leave the Tank/Heal roles as they are for our companions but return the unique DPS skill set that each companion had. For example: HK-51's ''Assassinate'' ability. Planetary Missions: It would be awesome if you could expand existing planets further and/or add new strings of bonus missions on each planet upon reaching level 70. This will keep things fresh and add replayability to the game. Group Content and Story: It would be cool if you could focus on Operations and Flashpoints as they are group content and contain story at the same time. (Everybody happy.) PvP: It would be fantastic if PvP vendors sold off-hand weapons as well. It would be great if PvP became slightly less of a gear-grind and more of a fair fight. (Gear shouldn't be an advantage, tactics and class combinations should!) 1 Player vs. 1 Player Arenas/Rooms would be a very welcome addition to SWTOR. (When the population is light you can still expect a match.) A larger variety of PvP items in exchange for Seasonal Tokens would make my day! Character Building: Since we can't distribute our attribute points ourselves it would be absolutely fantastic to have a much larger array of statistical combinations at our disposal. This could be a +41 Defense/Accuracy/Alacrity Color Crystal or a Modification/Enhancement/Augment that gives a combination of Alacrity and Accuracy. Or Power and Mastery. That would give us a bit more freedom to experiment and keep class balance intact. (Theoretically!) Bubbles: You'd make the RP crowd tremendously happy by adding text balloons/bubbles. Mini-Games: I would be lost for words if Pazaak could be implemented into SWTOR as a way to gain influence with our companions. Playing a recreational card game doesn't represent gambling and it would be a fun activity while we're crafting or simply want to chill out a little while. You could apply the same idea to Dejarik and Sabacc. It would be awesome if you could give our companions a few funny lines to speak while playing and when they're winning or losing. I do believe adding Swoop Bike racing or Pod racing to SWTOR would make a lot of fans of the genre a whole lot happier, but I can understand if it's too much to implement. Cosmetics, Hairstyles, Tattoos, Clothing, Armor and Robes: I wouldn't mind having a larger variety of the aforementioned at our disposal in the game. I know there's a Cartel Market but some of us think our ongoing subscriptions are enough. More classic themed material wouldn't hurt. (My Gunslinger really likes her Spider Jacket but she's wondering about the latest trends in fashion!) Companion Customizations: I would love to see a metallic white/red HK-51 or HK-55 with yellow eyes for Republic players a metallic black/red HK-51 or HK-55 with red eyes for Imperial players. It would be uber-cool if Arcann, Senya, Koth, Lana Beniko and Theron Shan could wear something else as well. Speeders: We do a lot of travelling in SWTOR. It wouldn't hurt to increase their speed by another 20% because well, they are speeders and speeders should be speedy. (You have actually made this possible already with the coming update so thank you very much for that!) Sentinels and Marauders: It would be fantastic to have a faster and flashier feel to this class since they are supposed to be ''living weapons'' and masters of lightsaber techniques. Visually, they feel quite sluggish and slow compared to Shien-Form Guardians who utilize True Harmony and Alacrity and I think it should be the other way around. I also believe the Sentinel/Marauder Class should be granted a shorter cooldown on Resolute if they are playing a Watchman/Combat Sentinel or Annihilation/Carnage Marauder, since this is the only counter measure/stun-breaker they have. Getting stunned every 10 seconds isn't much fun and renders this class almost obsolete in PvP. New Classes, Advanced Classes, Skill Trees, Abilities and/or Utilities: I know they're a lot of work, which is why they're at the bottom of the list, but having something new to toy with and try out every once in a year would make another replay of SWTOR totally worth it. If you can bring replayability and interesting end-game content you'd be there already! Thank you for your time.
  18. Why not? It beats creating a new thread on the same subject, doesn't it? This thread may be four years old, but these gaming mice which are currently on the market sure as hell aren't! So was my post relevant and constructive? Maybe not to you but I'm willing to bet it may be of interest to someone who's new to SWTOR and is looking for ways to enhance/adjust his or her gaming experience. So, why did you feel the need to reply to my reply?
  19. If these changes actually brought more people in I wouldn't be here arguing. I would've accepted that's what people wanted. I'm trying to represent the loyal Bioware fans who left SWTOR because of these changes I'm arguing against. In this household 2 people stopped subscribing, the other 2 (myself included!) are still disappointed with these changes and wish they would've been reverted yesterday. 11 of my friends stopped playing SWTOR for the exact same reasons. My former guild went from 300 people to 19 people in a matter of two weeks. Most people who played SWTOR before these changes were actually paying customers above the age of 18. Which means they want to be treated like adults, they want options, choices and be challenged to think for themselves. And since they have jobs, the last thing they want is to spend most of their gaming time grinding for gear. It's easy for you to say that this is what people want, because only subscribers can express their opinions on these boards. Well, you should look at server population and what all the people who left SWTOR have to say about it. If you were so right and I was so wrong, where are these masses of players you keep talking about?
  20. Not only is the game way too easy right now, but there's zero replayability outside of the 8 storyline concept. You talk about Mama Bioware. That's cool. But that's exactly how this game feels right now! It's like Mama Bioware is telling us how to distribute our attribute points: Before these changes, you could actually say: I want a Jedi Knight with stronger Force Powers. What did you do? You would spend more secondary statistics on Willpower. Don't think for yourself! Don't try anything different! Here, all of the classes are going to have Mastery now. Same how Mama Bioware is dictating a limited combination of statistics to us. We can't have Modifications that give Power and Mastery at the same time, can we? We can't have Absorption and Defense on one Augment, can we? Or Enhancements that give both Accuracy and Alacrity. Or Crystals with Defense, Accuracy or Alacrity. God forbid the player would do something smart and have more options and a bit of choice! You are going to decide which companion suits your tactics best? You are going to decide how to gear up your companion to make it better? You want to try something else because it's fun and it adds replayability to this game? Don't be ridiculous! Here's a Lana Beniko for you. It's the same Lana as everyone else's Lana. You can't change anything about her clothes. Not even if you think the other robe would be so much cooler on her. Oh, and all your other companions are going to be exactly like her. That's right. Mama Bioware took away our choices and our options because Mama Bioware knows best. You're the one who likes holding her hand, not me. Like it or not, but this is why a lot of people say this game has been dumbed down. Because it has been dumbed down. It goes beyond the difficulty factor.
  21. I love newsflashes! Just one question if I may: Where are the masses? Well, they had more subscribers before they changed our skill trees, changed our companions and before they introduced F2P. What do we have today? Less servers than before and a light population on most of those servers for most of the week. And it's been like that for months now. I think I've made my point.
