  2. Completely agree. We had some nice back and forth PvP in Lotro despite the fluctuating population which should correct itself if the zone is designed properly. I didn't think it was possible that SWTor would have a worse, more neglected pvp design. Even Turbines pvp afterthought zone is better than Ilum at launch. Currently the biggest issue with Ilum is FPS crawl and server lag. That alone discourages players from sticking around very long. On lowest settings in a raid vs raid battle I get 5-10 fps on my 2mth old pc. Which would be playable if abilities actually worked. But due to server lag from the sheer concentration of players + the inherent delay issues, id be lucky to target an enemy and get a leap off. In contrast to Lotro (on a much older pc too) I had no issues in 24x24 fights, sometimes even up to 2 full raids per side going at it. Once performance issues are resolved then more functionality and actual reasons to pvp on Ilum can be fleshed out. Atm its just a lagfest that's not worth the effort.
  3. Yea I don't agree with what their doing. Far too much BOA crafting going on in this game. I originally lvld cybertech. Made all the speeders and 2 grenades. Can't sell the speeders due to BOA bs. Grenades were nice though. Found out about biochem. Must have skill. Maxed that and made stims, adrenal/ medpack. Awesome! All boa so kinda defeating the purpose of lvling a crafting profession. Ppl wanna buy the best stuff in the game, not 2nd rate. I don't understand the need to lock ppl into certain professions. Just leave it as a crafting skill, so the benefit is u can craft the best stuff and SELL it! That should be the sole motivation for crafting. Let ppl farm up and buy your stuff and create some form of economy (which doesn't exist in this game). This all started when they nerfed slicing into oblivion. The trend will continue until all the professions are mediocre. Which is just rediculous imo.

  5. Makes me sad that in Stargate Worlds the UI was awesome! You could create single octagonal buttons and place them anywhere on the screen, lock em together in any shape u want. Have to check if I still have a SS lying around somewhere. That was a 2007 game in beta. How are we playing a released mmo in 2012 that has horrid UI?
  6. Lol did they take out the poll options on the forums? BW never ceases to amaze me with their incompetence.
  7. What pvp % does that get you up to? I'm sitting at 10.85%, can't recall exact exp figure but it was close to 600. No pvp relics yet.

  9. Ppl should stop whining and just lvl. Its not hard. What will they complain about when they hit 50 and still lose?
  10. They failed soo many times to get the bastilla chars working properly that eventually the just gave up. Between that and wiping the test servers every mth or 2 for "new builds" its hard to blame ppl for not wanting to grind to 50 again to test stuff. The amount of times the gear system had changed just a few mths before launch requiring complete char wipes was insane! I see the trend continuing on the current test server.
  11. You're def right about pve and raiding, especially hard modes. Its like being melee your a liability that no one wants. Think I made a mistake choosing a melee class that can only dps. Nearly every other class has more utility and comparable dps so what's the point? These issues were raised in beta. The only thing that's changed is adding undying rage and the rage generating shield, maybe also vicious throw. Not the overhaul that was required.
  12. Max cybertech. Make ur equipment/ grenades. Drop it for biochem and make stims/ medpacks /adrenals. It's the only logical thing to do.
  13. Nice guide mate! I love massacre spam, but had to switch to annihilation for hard modes recently. Now I'm struggling to find a spot for vicious slash on my hotbar again lol. In response to retaliation, I found it a waste of rage that could be better spent on massacre and the animation slows down the rotation imo. Could be wrong haven't done the math on it.

  16. Loot drops are also by class only, completely ignoring AC which is just silly.
  17. Given how rare the mod drops seem to be we wont be seeing anything but clones in pve/pvp sets for some time. Keep in mind u need 3 mods to make switching to an orange piece worthwhile and even then it will prob looked mismatched until you get a few items fully modded out. I don't think it will be worth the effort imo. I'd like to see either the mods drop more or the schems to make em, requiring some special ingredient to craft that only comes from the raid loot table. So far though it feels like crafting has been a waste of time, as gear is quickly replaced @ 50 with ease.
  18. Only ones ive seen so far are the pvp champ sabers but they dont use mods. I ditched artifice a long time ago cause i gave up on finding them. Endgame gear looks to be superior to crafting anyway. As far as my cybertech modding has seen.
  19. Not sure if this was already mentioned but the reason theres massive skill delay and GCD is cause BW wanted the animations to play out smoothly. Completely retarted notion i know. But thats how it is. What i really want them to fix is the skill not ready yet error myself and guildmates are getting, particularly on marauder.
  20. Have you done all the other quests yet? The bonus series starts back at the first base near a shuttle if I recall.
  21. I take offence to that. Its BW fault they kept flip flopping builds and not continually improving just 1 to release. Time and time again they have changed things that required new builds which simply werent as polished as old ones and had same old bugs. I've been quite surprised how many bugs i've seen during launch which werent even there before. It truly boggles my mind how they can keep going in reverse with these bugs... The beta testers tested the game and reported tons of bugs. Especially the early game which should have been flawless by now. Also BW did keep wiping chars every mth or so in the last few builds/months leading to launch. Many were burned out and didnt wanna hit cap again, vast majority just created alts and tried every class. Only a handful of dedicated players hit cap consistently and tested endgame which was incredibly buggy as of the last weekend of beta. So dont be surprised to see even worse bugs in the lategame. It simply wasnt tested enough. Forgot to mention the bug report tool was broken for the last 2 mths of beta and they funnelled tickets through their CSR system (no screenshots to assist = many useless reports)

    Huttball sux ***. The devs are well aware. It was brought up everytime in the tester forums with full reasoning and all. After you have played 30+ matches in the mode you will either love it or hate it. I even stopped queueing up for WZs to avoid it. They still havent added the option to select what to q for, which to me highlights the faults in their matchmaking system, getting into games with 1m left etc. Unfortunately the endgame pvp reward system is designed to force u to do both WZs and world pvp. So you're stuck grinding huttball for comms.
  23. You're meant to get mercenary comms but i haven't seen it working at all in a few builds before launch.
  24. Usually just sort by objective and vote whose on top. Sometimes forget to vote for healers though. The whole scoreboard system is flawed anyway. Get rewarded for doing more dmg and getting kills in huttball than actually scoring.
