  1. I agree with this statement, people who roll on gear that isn't for their class are pretty much the scum of gaming.
  2. Well improving space combat just gives us one more thing to do. Currently end game content is limited and people are looking everywhere for improvements. And I assure you, after a while the current space combat will get boring for you.
  3. On the server I play on i've never seen anyone roll need for a companion or mods. That being said, if someone was to roll for a companion, or to strip an entire item for 1 mod, they would be kicked from the group (assuming someone else could use the item and it wasn't agreed upon before they roll). Ironically our server only has a dozen or so tanks able to run end game content proficiently, so ninja looter will only ever make it into 2-3 groups before they never run a hard mode again. Companions didn't help in the flashpoint/ops therefore they cant roll, and you as a player shouldn't roll for them. Think of 8 people doing a job, then someone takes a portion of another workers paycheck for a friend or family member. Simply put rolling for companion gear is stealing. Rolling for mods/oranges is much they same, but its more like shoplifting, a lesser offence. This is because typically because a portion of the mods/orange armor are still usable. However, often times you will end up taking away an upgrade from someone else. So two people have worked for an hour, and should make 10$ each. One person has an opportunity to make 5$ more, the catch is if they decide to make 5$ more the other worker will receive 5$ less.
  4. Honestly I feel your pain. Holding aggro on anymore then 1-2 mobs is an absolute nightmare. It would be nice for them to add some more skills that give AoE's better threat output. For the record i'm a level 50 tank vanguard.
  5. I've honestly never seen any secret rooms that open due to crew skills. So either they are really well hidden, or the more obvious answer is that they never got implemented. To bad really. Actually change of though, perhaps this could be the thing that makes a crew skill other then biochem worth having?
  6. ....well I expected lots of end game content focusing on the large scale war between the empire and the republic, along with all the other bells and whistles of modern day MMORPG's.
  7. Currently one of the biggest complaints about SWTOR is that there isn't enough end game content. Most people say that this is because the game is new, and hasn't had time to release new content. They then follow up by saying when WoW was released is also didn't have a great deal of content and suffered through the same problems that SWTOR are currently facing. So my question is this, how much did it cost to make WoW initially and how much did it cost (in development) to get WoW to were it currently is now? and how does it compare to SWTOR?
  8. Honestly when I bought this game I was expecting there to be an actual war going on between the imp's and the republic. I assumed that end game would have some sweet pvp instances that would include having space combat and ground combat at the same time (think battlefront). I got this impression from the trailers that were posted, and perhaps I interpreted the trailers wrong. Regardless the pvp in this game feels strongly under-developed, especially once you hit max level. So long story short I feel as though the game should add some more pvp content, such as guild VS guild, fortress raids (Like Aion, WAR, etc.), battles that involve vehicles, etc.
  9. I received some messages from various sources confirming that both Soa and Bonethrasher haven't been dropping loot in hardmode.
  10. Pretty much ya. its star wars, it sells itself.
  11. I play games with an EA manager. To put this as blatantly as possible, EA had nothing to do with the development, it was left entirely to Bioware. Do a little research on google, you'll notice that Bioware made all the release dates, developed the game etc. and the only time EA is mentioned is in funding and distribution.
  12. Ive noticed alot of threads pointing finger at EA for "destroying" (depending on your point of view) this game. Just to clear things up, the only time EA touched this game was to distribute it. Aside from that there only other connections is that they own Bioware, and that the funded the game. Bioware has handled everything in the development of the game, as well as things like customer support. Hope this clears up some misconceptions.
  13. This game was entirely developed by bioware, EA didn't put a finger of work into the game, this goes for the customer support as well. EA only distributes the game.
