Well, I'm done. More bugs than I can shake a wampa at and the eyes issues have been swept under the rug since November along with countless other issues they've decided to pretend aren't there. I've finally had my fill of false promises, lackluster delivery, and complete lack of communication. If they want to push away their player base, they're doing a bang up job of it. It's time for me to move on. Cancelling sub and uninstalling. Thanks for the years of fun. It was good while it lasted. Best of luck to those of you who choose to remain. I hope they turn the game around for you.

Any word on this? We're halfway through January and just wondering if any devs are still giving this any attention? Maybe more tweaks with an upcoming patch of some sort?

Well, since the dark brown eyes we originally selected was #6, I would say might as well keep to that and adjust that particular one. The toons that we chose that number for dark brown already have it, so if nothing else it would avoid having to choose (or pay for) an eye color change. Definitely appreciate the effort to adjust the colors back to what we've been used to for the last several years (I actually liked the high reflection glossy eyes) so we'll see how the tweaks go from here. I think the red Mirialan eyes, gold Mirialan eyes, Zabrak (Republic) yellow eyes, and Sith Pureblood pale eyes for sure still need to be tweaked. As for additional colors, maybe some shades that are combinations of others. Like a purple that's a sort of bluish-purple. Or a nice sea green or turquoise. Or even a really nice, deep wine red without all the crazy Sith glow (the red Mirialan eyes were actually pretty similar before the update). Or some nice grays. Just putting some ideas out there. Thanks again for the update and communication. You guys really don't know just how far that goes with the player base. It does with me, at any rate.

Looking at mine again, I think you're right. I believe they were more pale than they are now, and that "piercing" light gray you described I think is right on the money. I thought they still seemed a bit different than their correct color, but ever since they made that big change to graphics a year or two ago (which actually increased my resource/graphics usage, not reduced), everything seems blurred and discolored to me so I paid it no mind. So while it's definitely better than the white beams that got switched with them before it was fixed, I still don't think the color is quite the same. I don't want to nitpick, but 1) I paid for them with cartel coins and 2) I really liked the original and I don't think the recent fix has them quite right yet. So hopefully the devs will have another look at it.

Appreciate y'all looking into it. I found some old screenshots of my characters, and human eyes #6 is definitely too light. Human brown eyes #5 still looks the same as it did before, so #6 is for sure way too light as it should be darker than #5. Here's more specifics on my toons that have eye issues: Human - dark brown eyes #6 - More of a medium/hazel now instead of dark brown. Mirialan - gold eyes #8 - Looks green instead of gold. Mirialan - red eyes #7 Looks ruddy brown instead of red. Think it needs a bit more red and possibly a little brighter. Zabrak (Republic light skin) - yellow eyes #1 I think the shade is right, but too bright in cutscenes and normal camera view. I believe the yellow was more subtle. Currently seems like a solid yellow instead of an iris. As far as I can tell with the rest of my toons, everything else is fixed or unaffected. Other people will have to put their specifics in here as I don't use dark side corruption effects among other cosmetic choices I didn't pick for my toons.

Appreciate the effort to fix this in today's patch. Definite fix for some, but still have a couple issues. My three toons with dark brown eyes still have a lighter color. They're using #6. Looks like #5 is a bit darker and closer to what #6 used to be. So I don't know if this still needs someone to look at it or if I should just change to #5, even though that's not the original color (and number) I picked. All three of my toons with dark brown are human. My Republic Zabrak (light skin) has had the yellow eyes fixed. So thank you. However, with the new texture, they still look like headlights while looking at the toon from the regular play camera and not the character cosmetic changer terminal. And also, both my Mirialan toons stiil have messed up eyes. So I guess that species isn't fixed. My one toon that had nice, rich, gold color eyes still looks green now. And my other with the species specific dark red eyes now looks a ruddy brown. So definitely an improvement, but still needs some tweaks back to the original colors and maybe tone down the bright beams of the Zabrak yellow eyes in the normal game camera. And just a side note, thanks for fixing the Jedi chest pieces. My brown robes are brown again.

Don't hold your breath. This is the time of the year they're famously absent until January-ish. Due to the absolute enormous amount of bugs with this patch, I'm not playing until they return after the holidays and maybe try to do something about it.
  8. It's been an on and off issue for years with it sometimes being fixed, sometimes not. With this latest patch, some of the armor colors I have chosen or dyed on my toons in-game aren't showing up the same in the character select screen. I think some of the pieces are just showing their default colors instead of the dyes I'm using. Most of my toons are fine, but there's a few toons that only have a piece or two of their armor not displaying the correct dye color from the select screen. Not exactly game-breaking, but thought I'd pass this along.

Thanks for pointing this out. I hadn't realized it but after checking I have the same issue. I have two human toons with the dark brown eyes which now look nothing like they did. I prefer the eyes the way they were and would like my dark brown eyes back, please.
  10. Valiant Jedi chest piece (cartel market armor) also needs to be added to this list.
  11. Well, you may be right, then. I hadn't really noticed the default hue was different from how it was. I guess mostly due to two reasons for me: 1) Ever since they "updated" the graphics engine to "use less resources", it uses more resources and pushes my SLI cards harder than before and totally changed how shadows and textures look. For the worse, in my opinion. So the colors are a bit different and I stopped caring because everything looks worse now. To me, anyway. 2) I haven't been playing much in the last year so probably forgot how they look. I keep holding out that things will improve and that they turn the game around, but I'm more disappointed than hyped over the last year so haven't been playing. So the end result is I'm forgetting how some of the in-game stuff looks. Not trying to hijack this into a "how BW is making the game terrible" thread or anything. This is just why I most likely don't remember the exact color of the default robe. My workaround was to change the dyes so the robe was a light brown or medium brown. Somewhat irritated though since one of my toons wearing one of the affected chest pieces had a white/white dye. Which now colors the robe white. Which I didn't want. Which means I wasted money on a dye that no longer works properly on the chest piece.

I thought the older textures looked fine. With today's patch, three of my toon's eyes are broken. My Republic (light skin) Zabrak with the yellow eyes I had are now broken. And my Sith pureblood with the pale sith eyes from the Cartel Market. Both pretty much ended up with flat, white discs which I guess is the default when the eye textures don't work? And my Mirialan used to have gold eyes. Now they're green? So while I appreciate the work put into them, I don't think it was necessary? I'll reserve my judgement for as I play and view cutscenes, but would appreciate my toons with broken eye textures being fixed. Thanks for looking into it and hopefully we'll see a fix soon.
  13. Edit: Didn't see the eye thread in the bug reports forum. Seems there's issues they're working on fixing.
  14. Some portions of some chest pieces never used to be able to be colored. Now they can. Check the dyes you have on them. That's what happened to me. Now I have to re-evaluate my color scheme for my two toons that wear Resolute Guardian and Valiant Jedi chest pieces. Their color was all messed up when I logged in and turns out it was the dyes on them and the robe portion color that never used to be customized.
  15. The robe portions of the chest pieces never used to be able to be colored. Now they can. Check the dyes you have on them and I bet the colors you're seeing are the secondary color on the dye. That's what happened to me. Now I have to re-evaluate my color scheme for my two toons that wear Resolute Guardian and Valiant Jedi chest pieces.
