Hi guys. I am getting my tank sin ready for ranked pvp and am looking for tips on gearing. Is tank in dps a viable option and how does it work? I heard you only augment endurance is this true? Any general tips for pvp tanking in ranked would be great. Thanks

here are all the dps dot specs on imp side: lethality-operative hatred-assassin virulence-sniper innovative ordnance-mercenary madness-sorcerer pyrotech-powertech vengeance-juggernaut annihilation-marauder pyrotech has very strong aoe attacks with its flamethrowers and dots IO has the highest damage in game right now,but I would count on this being nerfed down to normal soon. Hatred has good aoe and lots of selfheals this would be very good for soloing stuff imo. madness also has good selfheals but is doing very low damage this spec might be buffed soon. annihilation has small self heals I find this spec kinda boring but it does pretty good damage. vengeance has pretty good defensive skills and one of the best animations in the game imo. virulence this is the spec I know the least about so I will leave this out. lethality is a midrange spec with long ramp up times its pretty interesting and quite unique among specs. good luck

deception does not need more defense. It needs slightly more burst and a bit better kiting ability.

The OP's post about sums up my thoughts. Concentration is really the only spec I can enjoy in pve and pvp. Its just weird that the devs thought these changes would be fine for 3.0, its like they don't play a sent at all.

I think the OP'S idea would be great. That way there would still be an upside to not exploiting, and no one would be too mad about it.

Well while you defensive quality may seem bad compared to a sin. Sins cant LOS and H2F like merc can. So comparing your selves to classes like sins and juggs is totally untrue. They may have more dcds then you but that doesn't matter. You guys can just heal to full. Mercs are a easy to play hard to master class. /satire
