  1. I'd like to make a request to move these to a planet and not on fleet. The guild comraderie game is a real struggle in this game where so much play is solo and the default UI makes reading chat very very difficult meaning that most new players and even seasoned players are missing out the most important part of the MMO experience... your guild. The strongest point we have in game for meeting hs our guild flagship (the actual strongest place is in discord but that's not part of the game obviously). It's the one place where solo players will see each other from the guild when they come to bank/gtn/sell etc. The reason it is preferred by many over their personal stronghold or guild stronghold is for fleet chat. Being able to have that resource available for everyone is a small advantage for new players (although they usually can afford everything themselves even before they really learn about guild flagships... people who have played for years sometimes surprise me by asking how to get to the guild ship) but it fades when they can outfit their own stronghold for fairly cheap what we can do as a guild. Oh and why do they bank on the flagship instead of their own stronghold? Only one reason: fleet chat. Fleet chat is where most pug groups and operations are formed and thus there is some incentive for players to participate in the guild meeting spot while they bank/wait because they use the fleet chat to form up groups. Now, is this still about player choices? Obviously, but the more options you offer and the less incentive there is for our central meeting spot, the less it will be used even by well meaning players. I've done my absolute best to steer players to use the guild ship and it's mostly failed since of the 5-6000 legacies we've had over the years we probably have had less than 500 ever visit the ship and the number that use often probably in the dozens over the past. But still some have. I give away billions of credits a year, used to give away cartel coin codes, and prizes constantly and instead of mailing (besides having a 30 minute timer) I always make winners meet me on the ship so they have incentive to learn how to use the ship and come enjoy it, even if only for 60 seconds one time. But with the single player stronghold on ship, that one advantage the ship has over personal strongholds: fleet chat, disappears and our struggle to have players actually meeting in game outside of the operations continues to dwindle. I actually refused to buy a guild stronghold for our guilds for a long time because I didn't want that second choice to be there and the chances for people to actually mingle within sight of each other was slightly improved. Then the added functionality of the Rishi stronghold unfortunately took that away. (Although to be fair, I bet the number of times the rishi strongholds have been used past the first couple weeks of them being open has probably dwindled close to none or at least not very often). So selfishly, because I want to actually see my guildmates in the game even when not doing operations etc, I'd like to ask you to not have single player apartments on fleet. Or, alternatively, give the guilds some options that personal players do not have in their strongholds. Currently yes we have the escape pod exit, but even though we try to strategically use it, it is not very often used. And since quick travel is a thing bypassing even the use of personal ships and most single type quests require the personal ship use, the escape pod idea, while fun for a second quickly loses most of its value. Some suggestions would be to give guilds (and guilds only) heroic, pvp and operations terminals. Special vendors for specific items only available at certain places. (Iokath recombs, crafting vendor etc). There might be some other ideas but I think the best idea would just to move those fleet apartments to a planet to keep the guild flagships as the central meeting place. Please consider the MMO aspect of the game before you implement this.
  2. Despite the fact that the new achievement deserves to struck, here's my guide to the old Wookie Hugging achievement. Having gotten my 1000 Wookie hugs in here's what I learned: The wookie hug temporary power is finicky as hell so it's really about standing on the circle at the right distance away from the wookie. So with the wookie targets just scooch around about the circle a tiny step at a time until it shows up. You will quickly get a feel for where you need to stand after a couple dozen wookie hugs. I did the 12 Wookies in Mek Sha on a toon, switched to PVP zone, hugged 12 Wookies (and even though there were many players in pvp zone, there was very little pvp-ing... people too busy hugging Wookies), camped to an alt did my 24 wookie hugs, 2-4 alts later would get bored and actually play the game, come back and just started on fresh alts. I didn't try to do it again on the same toon in the same day as the cool down was long enough as to be not worth even testing it. (Also if you do get attacked in the pvp zone, the respawn is just right down the stairs on either side IMP or PUB) Definitely do it on Mek-Sha. Regardless of your level it is safe and there are 12 Wookies all lined up in a row. You can then switch to the PVP instance and do it again (provided no griefers). Nar Shaddaa has 13 Wookies but they are spread out so takes much much longer to get your 13 hugs in (and there is the fact you have to learn an efficient route so as to not miss hugs) Apparently there are some wookies on capital planets but I didn't bother mapping them. There are two wookies on pub fleet and 1 wookie on imp fleet (and the IMP fleet wookie is being held prisoner by an IMP soldier and is on his knees but periodically will jump up and throw a snowball at a player, so that's kind of fun little moment) The cool down between different Wookies is zero but hugging the same Wookie is significant (like so big I didn't even bother figuring out what it was). 3. A pejorative is used against a person; this achievement is not a person. That is a legitimate work to characterize that idea, concept and this horrible achievement which is a crime against humanity.
  4. I demand that whoever came up with this asinine idea do it themselves then come back and defend it.
  5. Just refreshing before the mods institute the draconian anti-necro policy.
  6. Name the perpetrator of this crime against humanity. I want their name to be known. Stop hiding in infamy you criminal.
  7. Its incredibly insidious how you use something as adorable as hugging wookies to inflict pain. Truly next level evil.
  8. I'll be approaching this UN to bring you up on charges of war crimes against humanity.
  9. Name names. Don't you dare hide behind anonymous community accounts. We want you responsible for your actions.
  10. You know what, I want that person who came up with this abomination to get on the game and earn this achievement and then come back here and tell us that it should stay.
  11. It really is not fun at all. It's beyond grindy, it just makes your hands hurt because of the terribleness involved in getting a hug lined up and swapping toons in order to defeat the long cool downs. It's just unnecessary. Why don't you make cool achievements that are fun and not just mindlessly irksome.
  12. The Wookie Hugging Champion made me want to quit SWTOR. And that was only 1000 hugs. Now you want me to go to 2500? I am making a effigy of those responsible for this ridiculous achievement and will practice my vodou curses on you. Fix it. And don't you ever do that again.
  13. I realize that came off angry. So let me amend: Please.
  14. The rest is fine but this trend is the stupidest one that forum moderators ever came up with. This is NOT a chat room. You know how many times I go to reddit with a question that was never answered but there was some conversation on it but because of this ridiculous locking threads policy we lose that entire part of the discussion because I have to make a new thread? It's dumb. Don't do it.
  15. I like what you have to say here and I hope it is implemented as advertised. One caveat though, a while back I received a 7 day suspension and the reason was absolutely bonkers and when I tried to appeal it, I got zero response from the EA email where I was told I could appeal. Besides the fact that EA basically stole my game time I paid for, the fact is that it was just one of these trolls who reported me and there was zero recourse. The same thing used to happen when a certain guild by a certain female character of ill repute would squelch people. If real people (that actually understand English and the SWTOR game play) are not at the end of the actions I'm afraid this kind of tomfoolery will continue unabated.
  16. Is it possible to still use this? I want to be able to parse companions for a test.
  17. However, by changing the quality on the diamond sorter, you only have to move white items by hand and can right click stuff back into the legacy bank if it is green or better. Thank god for this work around.
  18. And when you right click it sends the mats to the crappy mat storage instead of into my lovely sorted legacy bank... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
  19. Except add-ons are available. Not so here. I think I am going to have to just pull my mats back out of the new storage and put them back in legacy bank for now. The default sorting and scrolling is just obnoxious
  20. Could we please sort them by crafting level and NOT alphabetically? I cant remember the names of all the levels and what missions i need to send my comps out at if they are alphabetical.
  21. It's crazy how such small things make a difference. Maybe now they can stop the "Mailing this item will prevent it from being traded to other eligible characters. Proceed?" bug.
  22. Thank you!!!!!!! The quality of life upgrade you have done to the legacy stacking items in the legacy bank makes me a rather happy guy. The fact you had to add a stackable legacy item to the legacy bank before you could stack has been a pain in the arse for years ever since they introduced legacy bank. So whoever fixed this... hell yes! I'll buy you and your mates some pizzas, no joke. Inbox me if you are responsible.
