  1. I can see one significant biasing factor here, though, which is that - unless the parser has changed since I last looked into it - this won't take bubbles into consideration. Since bubbles can't crit and are one of the main factors in the low/zero-crit builds of yore, I suspect they'll push the target number down.
  2. Is it? There are *so* many mobility powers, utilities, and rootbreaks now that a good carrier is probably totally unstoppable if properly specced. And it's not just Vanguard tanks and (all) Guardians who are super dangerous now: Scoundrels, all Vanguards, and even Sentinels (who have a CC immunity) can fly around like nothing.
  3. Are you DPS? Because I'm not sure this is really useful when you have multiple melee single-target chasing you around the node wherever you go.
  4. Wait, is Ravage yellow damage now? Because literally nothing changed to accuracy except on basic attacks (and the number formula becoming a bit friendlier).
  5. I not only started but finished KOTFE (the released part) and C2 returned in Chapter 8 at zero (down from 10k). Doing his intro quest at that point (which is how I got him back) got him to rank 5, but post-patch nothing is different. Oh yeah, and I lost that expensive crafting sensor.

  7. No. This sort of thinking makes no sense. If you have 100s of combat powers it doesn't matter whether they're in one chunk or spread out over three minutes. Or rather, to the extent it does (big cooldowns are a larger chunk of everything) there's no reason for the latter to favor a no-tertiary distribution more than not.

  9. Same problem with Nadia. Finished all the current content, no email or mention in the dream sequence. I wonder whether this is a bug that is striking people who ran through the romance storyline at launch. That would be the worst.
  10. No, that's not what it says. It says Ops-level relics won't be acquired through the same RE-a-fake-version-with-the-same-stats method as other gear slots. This is good, because that method requires Conquest reward materials that may not even be in the game at expansion launch (and, in any case, will generate way more scarcity than you want for items that every new capped alt needs). I expect 204+-level relics to be a staple craft good for Artifice.
  11. Actually, a lot of why sages are so strong (in regs anyway) is that the current meta means there aren't a lot of slingers (and gunnery commandos) in the queue. And whenever I think "too many healers, I'll switch to DPS" I always end up randomly put with crappy heals or no heals.
  12. I often do the same, but I also notice that when I pull the carrier to start/finish a fast break, I get zero objective points.

  16. Huh. I just looked through some PvP parses from earlier tonight. Most of the time, the medpac was doing a little over 14k. Sometimes, it was doing a little under 14k (forgot to buff, d'oh!). But a few times, it only did 11.5k - the same amount twice in a row, during two consecutive phases of an extended Novare node battle. It doesn't *look* like player-triggered trauma was active... in fact, in one case it looks like that had just worn off before the medpac application. Nor does it look like simple overhealing, since the same number recurred twice. Anyone else want to dig through Starparse logs to see what values they're getting?
  17. If you see me facetanking in place and I'm not stunned or self-healing, it's usually 'cause I'm yelling at my team for zerging (or missing calls). But really, I've just kept it up long enough for good DPS to whisper me when I log on or wander over to the terminal. Before that, there was a zen to it, just paying attention to your own healing business even if your team can't make squat of it. Also, make it obvious that you're a healer... I think people expect you mostly to DPS like you do on Imp.
  18. Dude, you just won two ranked matches with us the other day... My PT is in the middle of a long 1x slog, but if y'all want to troll with 4 VG tanks on Pub side, I'm game.
  19. His suggestion is just as likely to happen as yours. Well, that's a huge improvement then. 99+% of the game's population can't enjoy group ranked because of time, guild limitations, and the need for either the absurdly rare skill to dominate or the persistence to eat a bunch of losses. Class imbalance is a red herring. With 12x anyone can alt anything.

  22. You have it backwards. It's the drop of *other* content (12xing alts and, for those who do any PvE at all, running through Ziost) that's hit S5. This sub-forum is really broken. Actual PvP is stumbling along OK.
  23. Make sure to /cjoin Imppvp or Pubpvp depending on the side you're on. That's where all the ranked discussion goes.
