  1. The bind timer starts to count down only after you claim the item, so no, you cannot buy it and instantly put it in your legacy storage.
  2. For KotFE you need to be level 60 to start and "Chapter One: The Hunt" will be available to you through the mission console on your ship. Keep in mind that starting it will lock you out of some previous content if you haven't already completed it - class story, companion conversations, Forged Alliances, Shadow of Revan, and the Ziost story missions.
  3. If you want to join a guild, then you should look into joining one, but be aware it can take some time to find a good fit (you can also get lucky and almost immediately find the right guild for you, but be prepared for a search just in case). If you want to run operations, a guild is definitely useful as pugging is a crapshoot to say the least. In terms of item level, is 222 what you have after getting the set of 232 gear from the Ossus introduction story mission (before you actually travel to Ossus). If so, then you can start picking up 252 and 258 pieces by running the weeklies on Ossus, but be aware gearing is about to undertake a substantial change in about 4 weeks, so you really don't want to burn yourself out with too much of a grind right now.
  4. There are two different things at work here. Boosting a character to 70 does nothing in terms of companions, class story, etc. However, starting KotFE does lock a character out of and auto-completes the class story, companion conversations, Prelude to Revan story, Shadow of Revan story, and Ziost story. If you've done anything to increase companion influence, that remains with them once you start KotFE. If you romanced them pre-KotFE they are still on the romance track until you get them back in KotFE or later, unless you skip ahead more and start something that auto-completes and locks you out of where you'd normally get that companion back in a chapter, in which case the romance is ended. Therefore, if you start a new character at KotFE without having previously done anything with your companions, they will all have zero influence (will be level 1) and there will be no romances with them. In some cases, depending on the manner of their return, you may have the option to romance them later even if you never did before, but that depends on which companions we're talking about.
  5. Some time back the trainers started charging for speeder piloting again. I believe it was when they added speeder piloting IV and V as legacy perks, but I'm not sure on the exact timing. I just know I hadn't leveled characters for a while and suddenly found myself needing to pay for speeder piloting again when I did level some new characters.
  6. It seems like you may be asking about the Locked Alliance Supply crates (received as rewards from completion of heroic missions), which are turned in to the Alliance Specialists on Odessen. They are not related to command crates in any way and there has been no mention of any changes to them.
  7. You're saying you'd like to pay $20 just so you can access a vendor to get one decoration?
  8. I don't understand why someone would make the above statement while having the following quote in their signature: Quote: Originally Posted by cjohnk "You can't add completely arbitrary assumptions on to someone's statement. No one in the thread asked to "live in a bubble, closed off from the world" or described their reasons for wanting a legacy ignore as being due to "mild inconvenience." Those are entirely your own characterizations and are adding "completely arbitrary assumptions on to someone's statement." Count me among those who would like to see a legacy ignore added to the game. In the real world, there are mechanisms in place for dealing with (or avoiding) people we don't want to be around. Why is it difficult to understand that people would want mechanisms in place to have similar options available to them in a paid online leisure activity?
  9. I'm in a similar position, though I believe I have 14 days left to decide what to do. If I do let it lapse, it will be the first time in more than 5.5 years I've been without a six month subscription. I'm thinking I may come back in January or February with a one month subscription to play through the story, but that would be it until more is released.
  10. There have been times in the past when it hasn't happened on a monthly basis, but usually it hasn't skipped more than one month (with this current gap being an exception, at two months so far). The last time I remember it skipping more than one month was just before the last server merge. I think it skipped three or four months then, and that is the longest period of time I recall it not happening. (I also did not see any explanation as to why it happened.)
  11. Alright, Dasty, at the risk of helping inflate your ego even more, you called it, she's back. Happy?
  12. Just in case the people reading this thread haven't seen your other posts I think it's important for them to know where you're coming from when you call for the removal of healing companions. From your post here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=9762111#post9762111
  13. The conclusion to the story is immediately after Corellia (can't remember if it's just one mission or split into two). You have a choice to make and whatever you decide determines how your class story ends, but once you complete that final task, that's the end of the class story and it should count towards your legacy completion of the class story. If you've checked your mission log to be sure you've done that last mission (I'm being vague to avoid spoilers but I believe it's called "Number One With A Bullet") and it's not listed, then it sounds as though you may have experienced a bug.
  14. No, I do not think that. I think that I have seen such accusations made before in various threads about any number of topics and I was hoping to avoid having anyone jump in and make such an accusation if I had been vague in my statement about how I acquired so many credits, which would ultimately distract from the question at hand, which was what your reasoning was for eliminating 90% of the credits from player holdings. You answered that, and it sounds to me as though you are saying you believe 90% of the credits currently in game are the result of exploits. Am I understanding you correctly? If so, then I do not share your opinion.
  15. I have been playing since March of 2014. In May of this year I discovered I'd crossed the 1 billion credit threshold. I never engaged in any exploits. I earned credits mostly by crafting, supplemented by weeklies/dailies/heroics and other general gameplay. During that time I gave away well over 200 million credits to guilds and other players (many of whom were complete strangers). You state "everyone" "shouldn't have that much in the first place." What is your reasoning for why those of us who do have that much (who did nothing improper to gain it) shouldn't have it?
  16. We just had an involuntary unlisting of all items on the GTN. As soon as it was over, things were posted again at much higher prices than before. Multiple items I'd been watching for weeks that had come down into the single digits of millions were re-listed for 10s of millions. That same thing would happen if people pulled listings. When you cited "selfish desires" I could only assume you meant "greed." Was there some other motivation to which you were referring? So my 1 billion credits becomes 100 million and someone's Million credits becomes 100 thousand. It would take them about an hour of play to recoup their loss. It would take me years to recoup mine. Please explain to me how that is fair.
  17. Count me among the players who would quit the game if this idea were implemented. I spent hours of playtime crafting and listing items on the GTN specifically to earn credits. It has taken me over 5 years to earn the credits I currently have and you want to simply remove 90% of them because you think it will somehow improve the game's economy? What are your projections for how long it would take before prices started to rise again... a month, two months, six months, a year? What do you think would happen to the GTN the moment this was announced? If the greed motivation you ascribe is so prevalent, isn't it possible that players would pull all their listings from the GTN and wait to re-list after the credit reduction took place, since they'd know they were about to lose 90% of their selling price? You also make the claim that this is fair because it would affect everyone, but those who engaged in heavy buying would be affected much less than the sellers, because unlike the sellers, they'd still have everything they purchased, whereas the sellers would lose 90% of their gains from those sales. How is that fair?
  18. Yep, just discovered that myself and was coming back here to let you know I was wrong. I'd posted 100 items on a character right before the announcement, so I'm not pleased either.
  19. They said all items would be "expired" and expired listings return the deposits, so you should get your deposits back.
  20. There have been numerous posts on these forums where posters have stated they've contacted customer service and had a referral removed after someone promised to pay them credits and then failed to do so.
  21. This is also incorrect. The only "restriction" (so to speak) is the mission log cannot contain both a kingpin and henchman for the same planet at the same time. However, you can run one and turn it in and then run the other on the same character on the same day. I've done it many times.
  22. This is incorrect. Each character can run one henchman bounty and one kingpin bounty per day.
  23. Kingpin bounties that are unlocked for a character are picked up from the same terminal as the henchmen bounties. Are you saying the terminal isn't offering it after you finished unlocking it?
  24. It would cost you $15 to get back all of your credits from escrow.
