  1. Or we could go with Vette. "Hi I have been a slave since 8 years old, but its ok im a 21 years virgin" This taken in to context in a game that freaguently mentions torture and killing off people...
  2. This. I would be a fine with a "sorry" and "do to technical dificulties at this time we can't get eu on a seperate maintanence time" but now its just the "well your a marginal group that is not as important as the rest, were marking you off as a calculated casualtie" is pritty much insultive as you can get as a consumer. No reasons, no sort of explonation other then calculated casulties in peaktimes.
  3. "I don't see how this concernes me" Or even better one. "Go back to WoW" if you play the forum minigame.
  4. Thats a quote of them saying that EU peak time is later in the evening. And "That said, this week we did overrun, and we know that many EU players were on holiday too, so that wasn't good. We're taking steps to address that. " is like saying "whoops. Oh well happens" not actually saying they didn't think trough the entire situation to begin with. They actually are not taking any reponsibility of the situation just downplaying it as much as they can and trying to reason why they should not have to say "sorry".
  5. I'm still going to wait for an actual official acknowlidgement of the oversight of the maintanence time and it going directly over prime time to 8:30 in the evening in my time zone before subsribing again. I translate the 'thank you for your patience' 'screw you EU players' considering they knew what was going to happen and I even called them out on it before hand. So far not impressed by EA's handeling of anything in this game except milking money out of starwars.
  6. You do realice that every press release they make is an official statement that effect shareholders of EA, so thats the reason why they are unwilling to give out accurate numbers of anything that someone might draw any conclusions or press announcements before the first subscriptions ACTUALLY are charged.
  7. Becouse I did not pay to play in a beta, thus graphics are a valid concerne after launch and this 'untill they fix it in a patch' is a poor justification for not doing it in Beta.
  8. No that indicates theres a serious issue and this is not discussed, rather the discussion is clamped down and people go to extremes is in order to be heard.
  9. When I get paid for actually my suggestions, Im willing to share them in such an hostile enviroment as this. Untill then constructive discussion is as far as im willing to try as. Constructive: constructing or tending to construct; helping to improve; promoting further development or advancement (opposed to destructive): constructive criticism. 2. of, pertaining to, or of the nature of construction; structural. 3. deduced by inference or interpretation; inferential: constructive permission. 4. Law. denoting an act or condition not directly expressed but inferred from other acts or conditions If you read the OP post and most of this thread there is actual discussion going on why somethings are implemented and there are alot of valid points being pointed out. I just don't see why its so hard for people to understand that you actually have to compera something to something in order to say something good or bad about it if you want it to have any sort of weight or a stand point. Also do I count as a spoiled kid when I say when you release something in 2011, your supposed to look at the existing market of 2011 not 2004 for competition or you will get called out things you did not implement?
  10. So You looked at this thread and went, well this was made 9 days ago. Its so wrong they keep making the same thread over and over ? Also if your not trolling why do you post "go back to wow" becouse that offers no discussion value whatsoever when it comes to actual conversation. Do you realice that most players actually played other mmo's or wow from the launch and they might have seen evolution of the genre thus when they say something they might have a valid point other then just them wanting to go back to a game they refuse to pay for and left in the first place? This is kinda big of a logical fallacy and you seem to be rather over defending the product when other people are actually trying to help improve it.
  11. Yes we know, most critism gets shutdown very fast by people throwing strawman arguments at it and trying to look like they can think. I would like to point out that Yoda was right when he said "Clone thread(/post) wars has begun" since thats what most of the response from community is like. Just pure flaming and trolling instead of actually discussing of anything useful. Kinda makes you think this game is part the point of redemption, and its not worth giving them any feedback.
  12. WoW had global channels they could spam it at before LFG tool was implemented so I quess thats the difrence.
  13. Yes, getting attacked by biodrones and getting spammed to death by bioware. I'm sorry but since when has it been a smart idea to actually spam the player for every ticket they do, specially bug report tickets, with an actual email as a punishment? Not to mention players shouldn't have to report every god damn bug, theres this entire thing called QA that is supposedly made to eliminate bugs. Usually paid people find bugs, report them and fix them... Not the people who pay for this service.
  14. Becouse Khem Val is giving me the creepy stare and keeps going along the lines "I like devouring force users".
  15. Pressing quit and seeing the game crash itself. I was just saying to my friend SWTOR was giving extremely mixed signs.
  16. Again? Isn't that kinda harsh threatment for it? Clearly they can't make up their mind between "delete too much negativity" and "keep it open might have constructive discussion value", so locking it would probably be a good thing... then again someone might read its history.
  17. Star wars tag to an mmo after they shut down SWG. Everything is pritty much done, granted the missions are a vast improvement to age of conan. The game is over all a pritty strong 7 (better then avarage) but thats weighted extremely heavely on you liking a singleplayer game and star wars. If you know anything about star wars lore, it will drop down a bit unfortunately. Most issues in the game are unfortunately the word 'work in progress' and the entire polish is missing, but for a raw cut off a game its pritty well established framework and maybe worth looking at after a few patches and when they enable graphics (other then "low").
  18. It was rather obvious when you can get more XP from a flight mission then a flashpoint of the same level. Kinda hard to miss that.
  19. Its so people like me who are adept at flying the game actually can do something else, like art, while doing my daily quests. It would be so wrong if I was actually required to pay any more attention then I am by requiring me to actually physically be at my computer instead of using the wireless mouse from kitchen (on the maps that don't have big things you can actually fly in to. Unfair, nerf please you should not be able to collide to them. (/sarcasm)) Obviously the space combat is in an early stage of its development, I would wager sooner or later it is going to have some sort of group activities as well and this was a last minute thing, a low priority if you won't mind, in the list of 'stuff to shove in to the game before the EA demanded release date is'.
  20. So I decided to make a thread about missing emotes and or suggestions for emotes to add in to the game. First one is the 'default' sit that is binded to X is to have its text removed. Other that you could make it a bit more... I don't know what the correct word is except change everything to make it more neutral if its by default. Adding in some actual difrent stances for lightside/darkside or based on faction would be nice (such as sitting on your knees as a jedi, as a sith cross legged and holding arms in menacing way). Also I'm going to petition the /rabble. Emote that flails your arms and the text "rabblerabblerabble" as a tribute to the forums current state. Something is disliked? Rabble. Something is liked? Rabble. Now there are a general race spesific emotes that don't actual need animation to just make the game feel more alive in terms of player movements and to make it easier to RP for those of whom are in the RP servers as default choises since the current shorts are not listed (or I havnt found them) for [add target name, class etc.].
  21. Here it is. Its very expensive mind you. http://www.google.com
  22. Problem with several of these indrustries as well is that some of the legit customers do get hurt becouse of this witchhunt, some of them pritty badly and its over all bad for the business. Mind you were living in a digital age so youtube, let's plays, streams and leaked material will allways be available and is something that is actually good for your product. The problem is that most companies want to control the ammount of critism as well just becouse of (some legit) fears towards their consumer base. One set of people who are really getting a short stick in this are people who critise old movies or games.
  23. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=89111 Theres a list of few of the bugs in this game, I'm pritty shocked of the fact that QA didn't see some of them. If they did notice and over looked them, I'm actually willing to life with that as a paying customer. If they did not I am not willing to life with that considering that patching this game when it grows bigger with content and script will make it easier to break something else.
  24. http://gamrreview.vgchartz.com/sales-data/31584/star-wars-the-old-republic/ Edit: Wrong link. But again its hard to say either way exact numbers untill we actually get them from the EA themselves, can't remember where was the actual number of accounts registered and not really that intrested in the debate over it since its still not going to be accurate untill bioware tells us the actual numbers. The actual point when a game goes to free to play is when the microtransactions are worth more as a business plan then content patches as a constant stream, the number 250k really dosn't hold a candle in a rain when it comes down to what is more beneficial for a company, what about the mmo's launched free to play? Mind you alot of asian free to play mmo's are hugely popular as well, we just don't talk of them in western gaming market. And I have done my history lessons, quite well infact. I also am able to see when something is being pure trolling and jumping on one fact that one can't proof as your only argument and hoping rest of it falls apart.
  25. Sold copies not matching subscriptions after christmas, cancelled preorders combined is enough to worry EA's and lucas arts. You do consider how much these people are after the money. Amongst that I'm going out of limb and saying most of the complaining posts about the game isn't reflecting the ammount of subscriptions of people who get bored of the game since it has been with every single mmo's release and it will keep happening. What exactly do you think that this game will hold its launch subscriptions any better then lets say ~ Rift (Can't think of a newer mmo release) ? Even if you consider the ammount of people who are saying they cancel their subscriptions on a board that actually removes peoples posts for saying that you still have to remember where talking about big businesses here with actual stockholders to pleace.
