  1. Elevator bug is depended on the elevators, fleet elevators for example work just fine. Balmorra elevators inside factories, the big yellow ones, all have the problem of getting you stuck within them if they squish you.
  2. Looking at patchnotes and http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=89111 Then going "Oh, well ATLEAST they added baby names" makes me feel so comftorable. Bioware has the most horrid PR system since they use the EA book of insulting intelligence, not taking responsibility and avoiding any actual response to begin with. SWTOR has alot of work and so far it looks like our 1.1 new freatures are going to be high res textures, a month after launch lol.
  3. Yes please don't add LFD/G tool. I really love inconvenience, general chat spam and generally hateful atmosphere that this game creates. It makes it far easier for me to laugh at the game when it shows no actual intrest even looking like it can be taken seriously as an mmo at times so yeah. No LFD, I dislike being given options to use such tools. Inconvinience everyone just becouse I love seeing the message "lfg" and if Im ahead on planets on my levels / late on planets on my levels I cant go to new instances becouse no one my planet wants to do them. Makes me feel that 'special'.
  4. I'm afraid theres no way for me to willing to pay for subscription for a game creator that: Insults my intelligence Considers my countrys prime time to be a "acceptable and calculated casualty" Takes no responsibility of the bad decissions Responds to all questions with political taking no responsibility and giving no answers. Releases a substandard product and offers no timeline when basic things are considered Makes patches for cosmical improvements when the game itself still has far more actual issues to be solved Supports SOPA indirectly, but does a PR move to make it seem like it dosn't Has no idea what is moral choises, or romance options. Downplays both torture and how cruel slavery can be.
  5. Sith Juggernaut, body type 2. I believe a tank should look agile enough to justify dodging, and im pritty sure yelling yo mama jokes makes up for any ammount of lack of looking threatening.
  6. Teaches you to be have socially and do your crafts. I'm sure this will get fixed eventually to autokick you from server.
  7. So your agument for my argument for WoW having several years to iron out hybrid taxation to be minimal and becoming player based, then adding in dualspec in order to blend hybrid taxation entirely amongst most popular classes....Comes down to players being bad and good? Yes, modern day world of warcraft this is partly true, some unpopular classes unfortunately are not as lucky as all (retribution, enhancement shamans are the top 2 sufferers) but this all was _greatly_ improved after parsing and forum arguments started happening in end TBC->WoTLK (Steps to right directions, steps to wrong direction. Steps nontheless towards the goal)-> and wuala, evolution in cata. Now were lacking all freatures required to make that transaction so by default: Yes hybrid taxes should be implemented so that theres an actual reason to play pure dps classes, or atleast allow them to have as much seperate gameplay style as a normal class. If your assuming the timelined DPS charts of hybrid classes vs modern day DPS charts are the same as other classes your so far off from the trueth its not even funny.
  8. Maybe they mislabeled to be a sorpg (Singleplayer Online RPG) that would explain alot
  9. Yes I did say some hybrid classes do more damage then pure classes, and then some suffer from hybrid taxes. For example enhancement shamans have allways had a very low damage potential since they do both magic and melee damage, they get the most benefit from caster buffs but give out melee buffs so in stacked compositions they suffer from either or both lackings. Mind you that wow used to have tanks and healers in the same classes such as feral, and they were very high up in wotlk in damage but allways 10% off. Nowdays you wont see a feral in top 10 damage meters unless your looking at singular damage becouse they are considered as a tank just as often as a kitten, if not even more. Thats the reason why its hard to say anything from avarages when hybrid taxation is not about avarage damage its the "extra" damage you can pull off with it by using superior knowledge and skills. This is something no matter how much they try to get rid off they cannot remove from the game unless they redo all buffs from ground up and fix up some old class mechanics, yes they have balanced the playfield multiple times but at the end of the day it does come to the players and raid compesition, in wow the current metagame also allows dualclassed dps be more spesificly roled for example ranged that are better in moving or burst damage. And when it comes to comparing WoL and then looking at the metagame of the game it's pritty clear they have an established metagame that allows actual balance actions to take place. This game dosn't even have combat logs to make baselines. When your lacking both hybrid taxation and any benefits of being a pure dps class it really does come down to tier classes extremely quickly, wow fixed this with dualspecs and making 3 combat trees on a pure dps class behave difrently and have fundamental difrences (Not counting hunter, marksman and beastmastery are difrent entirely for example tho).
  10. I'm not going to go parse trough those fights individually but its a nice you listed a link to the sight for an overview. Notice how you only mention Cata, they finally dropped the 10% off from druids and priests and it shows (Some other classes as well, but there are multiple reasons for this such as making buffs more universal etc.). Other then that it looks pritty damn normal taxed classes, shamans in particular since they are the defenition of hybrid classes and druids. Mind you fury for example allways trough out wow's history has been a 'sponge' class such as combat rogues that benefit by far the most from heavely scaling buffs so without actually seeing the individual raid composition its very hard to actually tell how accurate reprisentation the avarage dps it is do to this phonomenon calling buffstacking, and movement combined with dps. Tho they try to get rid of it every instance that your required to have x ammount of y, and z ammount of w it still will keep going stacked on some encounters. I'm not going to argue that the DPS avarage is far of from a 'reality' for raid composition but what I am stating that it still comes down what you have in the raid that determines the actual potential dps of the classes. And you cannot compare SWTORS current combat system to WoW's refined combat system, and encounter mechanics when they are about 7 years apart do to them not looking at competition and living in an isolated hut in the forest.
  11. Wow has hybrid taxes so I dont know what the post above me is all about.
  12. Usual rule of thumb is that melee damage is effected more by: AoE damage, Threat Spikes, Movement of boss, Line of sight and positioning. These are all points you have to keep in mind as well when your discussing ranged dps classes.
  13. Granted so have I. Infact enough worse to cause me nightmares about launches but still heres a useful threat to determine the ammount of polish http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=89111 You can add in to that the low resolution textures that are only in game becouse they ran out of time to implement them.
  14. Yet the sad fact is that not all players will level to 1-50, some of them will drop on the way. And in a game as grind heavy as this you might be pushed off from leveling very fast knowing theres not much reward at the end. Personally I am taking my time and playing with my friend, but mostly were playing this game in way too much tongue in cheek and making fun of the story. Unintenial humour feels to be the driving point more in this game and getting the story over with rather then anything else on some planets that just feel really dull. One alarming thing is that most planets towards the end tend to be come rather dull or are at start looking dull to begin with thus when your given the quest "go whack 15 moles" no matter how much gravy you put on the story you tend to go increasingly more to the "spacebar, gimme the quest so I can move on". Just becouse majority of people do something this does not mean the problems minoritys point out can be ignored, they have to be adressed in some form as well becouse some of those issues might effect other people more then others and in the end of the day as a benefit of Everyone the more subscribers the better the results in terms of content updates.
  15. I believe moderators are using the colour yellow becoues of finnish expression "Kusta silmään". And even if this game starts at level 1 and ends at level 50 why is it called an mmorpg? Romances step straight to a wall as well so hat kinda is 1-50 in my books, after that you just ignore it entirely and go spam general chats.
  16. There polish in this game? I thought that was entirely missing. Oh well my bad. I like the textures tho, reminds me of those nostalgic days of several years back in singleplayer games. I also like the maintanence times, kinda reminds me of when people realiced that EU actually exist and its not all about that. Or customer service, I kinda like the nostalgic feel of passive agressive people being hired to insult your intelligence while saying nothing in return. I do like how SWTOR has the monopoly station so it can actually pull this off and theres no competition, for example no free to play mmo's or a huge indrusty leading juggernaut. Oh wait. I quess this is NOT 2004, my bad.
  17. Just putting out there, but from what I look from a tank pov your absolutely correct. Juggernaut feels like a tank that has not actually had been looked as a tank other then as a 'yeah lets make one, just in case we need one'. Also isn't this one of the best arguments for PVE and PVP for parsing tools AND combat logs? Yes at the moment mercenaries feel 'sligthly' over powered (I use the word slightly becouse word extensively might indicate Epeen). Who the heck came up with a tank class with one high threat move, one taunt, one lackluster aoe at level 30? And don't you dare say 'stay in stance' becouse that would imply your initial threat of skills would be enough to actually justify gimped out rage generation from hits, but as it is even your companions can cause issues in tanking with high ammounts of threat and that certainly isn't right. And before you start using the arguments 'maybe your just a bad player' I have had extensive tanking experience and I refuse to play DD classes in MMO's in general. I have allways pushed my tanking skills to the limit of tools available, and the fact is that the tools are not available that should be for juggernaut.
  18. Im still waiting a refund of the lost gamedays, a serious "were sorry but heres the reason, not the excuse", them actually fixing this issue and saying "sorry for the past 2 maintenences we know what we did was stupid". We got once allready a maintanence to 2030. The fact that they are saying "Sorry for the inconvenience" and "thank you for your patience" is like pissing paying customers in the eye. I will not have my intelligence insulted by someone who Im paying to do a job that is the bases of their service.
  19. Fine Ok granted this point, but would you have honestly wanted them to respond "Go PVP so you can get better gear untill we fix the loot tables and make them lootable"? You have to remember its EA support technically so they will do their best to avoid any sort of response and avoid all responsibility while insulting your intelligence.
  20. Its not useless. You get spammed with emails regardless of what you ticket them about so its allways harmful. Also they are too busy fixing spanish credits atm now that they are done with french ones, hence the 'future patches' not the next one or hotfix.
  21. I agree. On my servers I keep hearing words like "swtor" in general chat and Im very offended. I wish this filth to be kept out. No but really are you suprised that people are using general chat for things like this? First mmo I hope becouse first thing I have done in any mmo is to remove general chat and just roll with the punches. The only time you need it is when your lfg'ing but oh wait, you cant remove channels from swtors chat system...
  22. Im just curious how do you create solutions to problems without being aware of problems? Critism has allways been a key factor of letting developers know where they are going wrong and this will allways be a case since that creates discussion on possible suggestions. Also ALL suggestions have to be critised as well in order to iron out the kinks and think out of the box, do you think thats a wortless too and shoulnd't be done at all so we just get compromises to problems? Problem is that constructive critism is something that has substance, discussion possible problem sides of both sides (for example pointing out both pvp gear is flawed and the system getting them meaning any solution that does not fix both of these issues will resolve in other issues) but most people are too busy just screaming when someone says "theres an issue" that your not suggesting how its supposed to be fixed. Most people don't want to tell those fixes becouse they will get critised and thats fine, they are not paid developers so why should they be forced to go trough it? And yes solutions should be hinderenced before implementing and after implementing if they have issues. Thats usually how you end up fixing issues.
  23. Just once per thread but people don't even understand what a constructive discussion is on these boards, they just try to drone their way trough discussion yelling the same few lines over and over instead of actually thinking about the issues.
  24. Why do people assume that critism of your game has to be suggestions? I'm sorry did I misunderstood what does PAYING a company to develop and maintain an MMO involve? Are we supposed to develop the gameplay changes and freature fixes on behalf of developers while they roll around the money that we gave them? And yes the flashpoints are a valid point. Its annoying to go to a flashpoint from a planet sometimes and it breaks the entire leveling experience in half. This is nowhere near a good system specially when you compare the level of flashpoints, some of them are barely more then glorified grinding sessions with flashy elites instead of normal mobs. And yes, with the current LFG system this will mean that all the end game population will be sitting in the same area, the flashpoint area, since its most convinient for them making the zone most likely laggy and rest of the space station deserted.
  25. Right Im going to call it right now: It will go to over time, again. And my timezones peak time starts one hour after the maintanence ends (1700->) so thank you very much for telling me again my playtime during peaktime is a calculated casualty and you dont want my money. I apreciate the very clear message EA.
