  1. You look forward to the trailer instead of the actual game? Are you the person they made 7.0's budget distribution for??!
  2. Absolutely, it was a decent FP (after they fixed that bug, made a meal during one of the bossfights with companion on heal, no HP bar had moved at all when I came back minutes later). Could have been a tad shorter, but it is what it is and I enjoyed it as well.
  3. Do you mean with the OG bug that had the bosses in solo mode have the HP of Vet mode? Because I played that way with my tank and it was a bloody pain. Not difficult or anything, but it took forever.
  4. In very carefully administered doses feeling powerless can also be fun. For example when a narrative lets you meet a boss that you have to defeat many levels later early on and they mop the floor with you but you survive. It makes the payoff of defeating them later on that much more satisfying. But it *really* depends on the amounts and context. Taking ages for everything isn't fun indeed.
  5. I've done everything up to 7.0 on both sides mutliple times (except for KotFE and KotET, those fit into the galaxy of the game like the cube into the round hole, skipped it on every char after my main) and found the stories to be solid, yes. But I prefer having a storyline where not only are both sides possible but the narrative is developed in a way where it is noticable that both storylines are in fact happening more or less simultaneously. Like they did with Makeb. SoR was easy in that regard as both sides worked together largely, which is also acceptable. But I dislike the "either Rep or Imp happened" routine that's prevalent nowadays. It's the easy route and boring. Now, I don't dislike the new stories (haven't played 7.0, inventory disease), but I find them less immersive because they are so obviously mutually exclusive.
  6. Considering how that worked out last week, I'd rather not. At least not before everything that's wrong is fixed (which would mean undoing a lot of 7.0) and engaging in effective communication with the playerbase.
  7. The class stories are the best part of the game, don't think anyone wil disagree with that.
  8. I do not see any benefit either, except I guess the new functionalities that were added but did not mandate a switch of system at all. Could have been tagged onto the old system just fine, presumably.
  9. NO. The rest of the idea is solid, but hard pass on the quoted part. Everyone needs those extra points to make the classes fun, so getting it behind something not everyone is able to do is not a great plan. Some will lack the time, others join after the season, others can not play due to the inveontory causing them harm. I fall into the latter category, and if I were locked out of an essential feature due to the UI designer making this by wiping their butt on the keyboard, I would be beyond pissed.
  10. https://torcommunity.com/database/mission/TpGX2WA/the+tatooine+rundown/ You need to have completed Chapter 9 of KotFE, and presumably done the alert where you get Yuun, as that is a prerequisite for almost every single companion alert.
  11. Tell that to the people who get headaches or migraines from it. I'd get the former as well, but I don't play currently precisely because I am aware of the problem. Fun paying for subscription and then not being able to play because it's a risk to my wellbeing. Money well spent. Plus it's super ugly, but that's not the point I'm trying to make.
  12. Great, means we gotta play worst galactic babysitter again and beat the cr*p out of a petulant overgrown baby. Cool.
  13. Maybe this is a push to be more inclusive to color blind people at the expense of anyone else with eye problems?
  14. There should be an alert at some point where you get both her and Akaavi Spar. Or use the "give my companion back, you stupid companion-stealing piece of ****"-map.
  15. Think the same. Makeb wasn't the best storyline, but still superior to making 2 lines that are mutually exclusive. It's nt perspective anymore, or continuity, it's every character living in their own quantum universe.
  16. Same. Deleted my PT which I'd been very fond of up to this point. Miss the flamethrower as well.
  17. I remember when they took a lot of interesting class powers and gave them to the advanced classes. My PowerTech was suddenly quite unappealing, because a lot of the fun class abilties were now Mercenary-only. Don't quite remember when that was, as my other characters felt unimpeded, or at least not seriously hurt.
  18. I find it good insofar as it prevents facerolling everything, which is boring. But it is also correct that someone who earned a higher level should be able to come back and use that power. I'd say putting the level cap 10 levels above the highest mob on a planet would be a good compromise. A returning player would be quite a bit stronger than anything the planet has to offer, but can't kill everything with a glance.
  19. Agreed, out of all the MMOs that I ever played it was the UI that I liked most. Sure, would not have fit in every game for thematic reasons, but all in all I liked it best. Smooth, marginally transparent, illusion of being more plastic than it really was. A bit like the Win 7 default, still miss that. The only change to UI I could have embraced would have been making the alignment change the color: light grey (white would not be ideal) for neutral, blue for light, red for dark; colors becoming more pronounced with every alignment tier.
  20. Responsibility is something people anywhere on the top seem to lack these days. Don't know why, but it appears that all too often having none of it (plus a conspicuous lack of common sense and/or humanity) is a requirement to end up in a position of authority.
  21. Excactly. One would think anyone with half a brain cell would see that a game in an established franchise can be a money printing machine if they play their cards right and do their best to make it an awesome game. There'd be flukes, probably, but if the effort is visible and communication good, they'd have a solid amount of goodwill to last them through fixing those, even if it may sometimes include eating large slices of humble pie. But the last years have told me that generally half a brain cell is too much to ask, as investments are "bäh" and thus only low-quality stuff is cookes up for the highest price possible. Possible returns are incomprehensibly far in the future and arcane secrets never to be unlocked for those people.
  22. In my eyes (literally) it is the worst thing in this update. Combat styles can be used or ignored as preferred, the ability choices in the higher levels are annoying but not straight from hell (I had preferred had they done it like on lower levels, with choices on how to buff abilities or which one to buff instead of which one to heep). Problems with the UI though: - Elephant in the room: inventory makes peoples' eyes and head hurt, mine included, as well as being as easy on the eye as one of those optical illusions. - The new inventory and other new windows look barebones and quite ugly - The character sheet hides the important stats behind highly hypothetical numbers that probably don't account for procs, making them nearly meaningless. - All the new icons are stuff that can be drawn up by anyone in a few minutes and are utterly devoid of everything. I could live with all other changes I know of, except the UI.
