  1. The most recent update to SWTOR was "Legacy of the Sith," and with it came many great updates such as a whole new story, the ability to toggle between two different combat styles, and more new items and all these were fantastic additions. However, this is the part where I must deliver my criticism and I will try NOT to beat around the bush as I'm prone to do: the interface change wasn't a good one and I don't like the new UI. Now, don't get me wrong: I can and do appreciate all the hard work that goes into keeping a game like SWTOR going and an update with the things I've already mentioned is just what it needed, but to put it mildly: the interface feels - for want of a better word - backwards. The UI looks unfinished and is hard on the eyes. We could all live with the other changes, except the UI which gives me and lots of other players a headache we don't want while playing one of our favourite games. Hardly any discussion on the last ten pages of the General Discussion forum is about anything other than dissatisfaction with some aspect of 7.0, the UI is one of the top ones. Combat styles can be used or ignored as preferred, the ability choices in the higher levels are annoying but not straight from hell (I had preferred had they done it like on lower levels, with choices on how to buff abilities or which one to buff instead of which one to keep). To put it frankly: it is the worst thing in this update In my eyes. Here are all the problems that I and multiple other people have reported with the UI: - The new inventory and other new windows look barebones and quite ugly. - All the new icons are stuff that can be drawn up by anyone in a few minutes, they look as though they'd be better suited for a Warhammer type game, and are utterly devoid of everything that has made SWTOR the game that everyone that plays it loves. - The elephant in the room: inventory makes everyone's eyes and head hurt, mine included, as well as being as easy on the eye as one of those optical illusions, with everything being warped into something like a military strategy game like the Medal of Honor games set in the modern-day. - The character sheet to view your character and companions look straight out of an FPS like Cyberpunk: 2077 and hides the important stats behind highly hypothetical numbers that probably don't account for procs, making them nearly meaningless.

The new icons for the classes look as though they'd be better in a police thriller game, the inventory system is warped into something like a military strategy game, and the character panels to view your character and companions look straight out of an FPS like Metal Gear Solid 4. I know this really isn't the place for it, but I just felt like I needed to get this off my chest and see if there's anybody out there who agrees with me.
