  1. LOL, And I think I need to do another day in the life.
  2. It's hardly either base or mastered on components there's going to be a fair amout of people who were somewhere in between.
  3. This seems much more reasonable seeing as it would make other abilities more competitive, without changing the flavor of scout play, it also wouldn't tick off people who had spent tens of thousands of requisition to master / partially master BLCs.
  4. That's pretty common most servers. (Of those I am familiar with). You get a completely worthless match, somebody realizes it, takes out their mastered gunship or battlescout and goes to town on the "FOOD THAT HAS TO BE EATEN".
  5. I am sorry but attrition against teams with healers is pointless. Really the game needs more ways to nullify team advantage for the people who want to stick with a bad battle and make the effort.
  6. Well nerfing their survival certainly does, nerfing their ability to do damage just makes hit and run attacks pointless.
  7. Scouts have the option of declining battle once engaged, the only other ship that has a chance of engaging and getting away from a team when it decides to focus on it and gunships and possibly the new strike fighter with tensor field( I have not tested this personally but have seen people use this to good effect) So yes as things stand the scouts are the way for solo players to get a little joy from bad team situations, You can scoot in get your kill and have a chance to get out. You probably won't turn the tide or even have a favorable kill to death ratio but at least you won't be stuck like a bug on flypaper playing target drone.
  8. There's a giant difference between an excellent solo experience and an intolerable experience. As things stand now the game overwhelmingly pisses off players that solo queue and it depends on those people. If they don't queue the teams have no one to fight against end of story. So yes shift the balance to favor teams even more, the few people left may get an hour a day when they can get a match.
  9. It would be ridiculous if there were separate team and solo queues but there aren't. As long as this is the case the game has to favor 1v1. As things stand premades have an insane amount of advantage in the game and anything that increases it will just alienate more players.
  10. Great you do realize you have just increased the advantage teams have over solo players ? Seeing as teams vs pugs have nearly 100% expectation of winning just what purpose does that serve ?
  11. While you are tweaking things remove the queue solo button. Because this is what this is really about. Battlescouts are currently the only ship that gives the solo player who is up against premades a chance of enjoying the game. Strikefighters while they pack a punch are far to vulnerable to running out of gas and once they do they are floating pinatas. Bombers unless they are in groups are easy to deal with. Gunships can be powerful but only as long as the rest of the team is running interference for them (not the in game ability) It would be far far better for the game to make the type 2 scout one of the two starter ships instead of having people hate the game.
  12. You're going to hate me but he is right. Making players pay for dev F***ups is bad policy.
  13. Refunding the requisition for the mine seems most reasonable. At this point however, I doubt the devs care about the negative feelings GSF generates.
  14. LOL you obviously have never had the deck stacked heavily against you by the matchmaker.
  15. Really the problem is not the lack of a safe spawn area but that is a real problem as well. The problem is the game putting together crap as a match. When you have one team that is so dominant that it can camp one or more spawn points on the opposing side, you have the definition of a bad matchup. It doesn't help that the real meta in the game is for players to create these horrible matchups. As long as bioware doesn't even acknowledge their f***up don't expect anything to be done.
  16. Randomizing the spawn points will likely be worse for most teams. At least now the camped team has a chance of having numerical superiority at the spawn.
  17. Crap I'll play devil's advocate here. Why should anyone have to suffer through a match they feel will be nothing but torture ? I see people leave terribad matches all the time and most of the time, I can't work up the enthusiasm to get upset about it. People play this game for fun and more often than not the matchmaker hands them ****burgers that it calls a game. Just for example, Oh wow there are the 8 best (pick faction) pilots there and their entire side has 5 ships, oh I am the only guy on my side with 5. Well maybe the guys on my team know what they are doing ?? Hmmm three people just crashed into the cap ship at spawn. I can't fault anyone for leaving what will likely be 10 minutes of being focused fired by most of the enemy team.
  18. Under current conditions it's suboptimal. If you have 4 premades fighting each other both using voice, yes then you can have the coordination to make that work. As it stands just having voice coordinating premades is enough to destroy the other sides day, and killing quickly in a focused way gets the job done faster.
  19. I am sorry but I have no idea where your problem comes from. Bombers die very easily to just about every ship in the game. Provided they aren't doing horribly silly things when they fight a bomber. Really if you have a bomber on a satellite without turrets, just back out of their mine range and pelt them. They die.
  20. Yeah that's true. There really is nothing that bombers are I win buttons against at the moment. There are plenty of situations where they are you lose buttons.
  21. I understand it's just the use of the word "One Shot", would you call it a one shot if a T2 scout crits with burst at close range then finishes the job by launching a double volley cluster at close range ? I have logs of T2 scouts taking full health bombers out in under 2 seconds. Given the cooldowns on the mines the bomber is still behind the curve.
  22. If you can't kill a bomber in a T2 scout as things are now, you are doing something wrong.
  23. Wow that kind of makes the argument you were trying to dispute. If strikes only have a roll when they have competent wingmen then they definitely need to be fixed.
  24. Too late the Scout Cartel has won this one and there is a mine nerf in the works. Really I am pretty sure the dev making these decisions flys a scout.
