  1. Great guide. Now I know where to send people when they have Collections questions.
  2. Same here. I've only played one other MMO, but I played for about 8 years. It wasn't unusual for me to spend whole evenings doing nothing but participating in Org chat (Org=Guild), or in private chats, or in another Org's guest chat, or answering questions in General chat, or all of those at the same time.
  3. Well, not really. There are many reasons why people don't group. In my case, I'm fortunate to have friends and family that call me on the phone often. And a really nice husband. The last thing I would ever want to do is tell my 87-year-old Mom "Sorry Mom, can't talk. I'm in a group." Or tell my husband "Oh, you made fresh coffee? I'll have some later. I'm in a group." When I'm soloing I can just stop where I am, even if it's in the middle of a battle. If I die, I die. No big deal. I just don't think it's fair for me to join a group or team, knowing that at any moment I might I have to leave the group with no notice at all. As far as being interactive with others, there are plenty of ways to interact with people without grouping. Answer questions in General chat. Buy/sell crafted items or mats on the GTN. Help out newbies here and there. And so on. If grouping was a necessity, or even absolutely expected, I just wouldn't be able to play this game.
  4. This happened to someone in the forums a little while ago. It was with a holostatue, maybe? In any case, they got in touch with Customer Service, and CS was able to unbind the item that shouldn't have been bound.
  5. I wasn't paying attention to if it was Trade or General, sorry. So I guess I was mistaken when I said General in my previous post. What I can confirm is that I logged in at the right time, saw someone whose name started with C (don't remember the whole name, but I'm assuming it was you) offer the 10 packs for 1k for all of them, saw that someone whose name started with P (again, don't remember the full name) was the one that got the packs, but then for some reason you couldn't trade to P, so you offered them again at a lower price, and then apparently you were able to trade to P so P got the packs at a lower price. Or something close to that. (Sorry for the run-on sentence!)
  6. I logged in not to buy, but just to see. I was there when it happened. It was kind of fun, following this thread, and then seeing it in General chat in-game.
  7. ^^ That if you don't want to pay CC or credits to change the legacy name. Just be aware that "display legacy surname" is the default, so if you make a new character, you'll have to do the above for each new character.
  8. I saw it as a very cute satire. I got some good laughs out of it, especially the parts about: -- The OP's computer hardware junky uncle, who loves to play with hardware pieces and do stuff with them with the door shut and locked -- The OP's Walmart laptop (couple of years old) that overheats after a few minutes in the game, especially in Alderaan, because of the bad Bioware engine -- The OP's suggestion that Bioware take responsibility for their bad engine and give refunds to the hundreds of people with money problems -- The OP asking for credits in-game to help fund the project for the new engine, and that the OP will be working on the Bioware engine 2.0 The wall of text and poor grammar /punctuation are, I'm sure, part of the satire. Other posts by the OP are nicely formatted and readable. It doesn't come across as satire at first, until you get a little further in to the text. Then it becomes pretty obvious.
  9. Once you get through the whole "wall of text" thing (which I'm sure is part of the satire), the post is pretty funny. I got a few good laughs out of it. Good job, OP.
  10. It costs 0 credits, and it is reusable. You only need one.
  11. Edit: Disregard. I posted incorrect information on how to enable the confirmation window. Also, I didn't realize the OP was from 2013.
  12. I'm having the same tooltip problem. I was REing a green earpiece. In the crafting window list, the tooltips for the resulting blue earpieces were showing the same stats as the green one. Once my companion started crafting a blue one, the correct/upgraded stats showed on the piece as my companion was making it, and on the finished piece.
  13. Same thing here with earpieces. In the Crafting window, there's no change in stats from green to blue to purple. Once the item is made, it does show the correct stats.
  14. Thanks! Here is mine: http://www.swtor.com/user/ce/24bmk? Replace the ? with 7 Edit: Code has now reached maximum redemption limit.
