  1. Most people are not going to be on their level 55 Chars during a dbl exp weekend, they are all leveling alts. The non 55 ques are popping instantly....
  2. Also the stuff you buy on the CM usually has a bound time for 24-48hours after which you can sell it on the GTN.
  3. The one thing to point out, is that if you are doing WZs your bolstered stats will be better if you have every slot full. Even if they are lower level relics/implants they will help get your expertise to cap.
  4. If you are running a FP as a tank you should have Dark Charge on, or if you are feeling squishy... but for the most part if you are leveling in madness you should be lightning charge. If you level tank spec then yes dark charge.
  5. I mostly disagree on this one, however it would be nice if in the cutscenes when you kill someone with your lightsaber if it didnt just look like you hit them with a glowing baseball bat. Come on man cut some limbs off! (is that too dark of a thought)
  6. Madness may not be the best by the end for leveling, but I actually think that it is best until at least 30. Death Field is probably the best of the level 20 talents, (at least without the higher level talent/skills coming into play yet) so Madness until 25-30 is probably the best route. Tank tree is also ok and if you do plan on tanking in PVE or PVP it might not be the worst thing to start learning, you may enjoy it you may not. But even with a Madness specced assasin you should be able to tank the lowbie flashpoints if you are using dark charge.
  7. Correct and if you are a pack-rat like me this means that you have a million random orange pieces of gear with their mods stropped out sitting in your invetory, because at some point you just may want to wear it.... Also while leveling you can simply hover over the gear and it will give you general (req level X) for each piece of gear, that way instead of checking each individual mod you can just check the whole thing out and replace parts as the get outdated.
  8. Also if you are leveling solely via PVP you will cap out on WZ coms a few times. Until you get Valor 40 and can trade up for the ranked coms you might as well trade them in for Planet coms. I usually do that and buy the 20 or 40 pvp gear, and I still often max on coms. Also since you will be spending a lot of time in Ques, you may want to pick up something like Cybertech, you could send out your companions crafting for you then you would not really need the planet coms anyway. And it would give you something to do while waiting for matchs.
  9. Also check out sites like tor-fashion or dulfy got some great info on there and tons of screen shots for the swtor fashionistas
  10. This sounds like a genius idea.... I might even do this some of my alts that I had not planned on leveling this weekend..
  11. Have a few Alts that I may try to speed through some levels this weekend. Is the best way to just ignore the class quests and focus on planet quests till they turn green and then hit the next planet? Maybe I should be doing WZs/Kuat Drive yards so I dont have to worry about Equipment? Anyone have any advice on what works best from previous ones? What should my levels/hour look like? Is 35-55 in a few hours reasonable goal?
  12. That depends on the server, go look it up on your GTN....
  13. I think some pages earlier in this thread someone describes killing themselfs from fall dmg on the ship.. took them a while though. Also everytime I see this thread I want to come in and say "no you suck" to the person who hates on the D5-Mantis, it may be an ugly ship, but only I can make fun of my ugly ship....
  14. As long as we are sharing Youtubes http://youtu.be/NIEK-RTUe-4 Check this guy out, I used to watch his Merc ones all the time and he is currently leveling a jugg and has some cool vids. Wizbasky
  15. Well, skipping the obvious of why you would think it was a good tactic to throw yourself into a 3v1 and hope to do much of anything.... the above posts are pretty accurate. I would say in defense of the Jugg/Guardians by popping all of your CDs you would get a nice survive bump for that ill advised 1v3 but you would be in big trouble once they all wear off. I would say Sent/Marader.. Assasin/Shadow - PT/Vangaurd.. Overall if you can beat 3 players by yourself you are either ganking lowbies or you are playing people who are AFK....
  16. I would rather have force choke than lightning.
  17. Just curious, I used to think that they did not add anything to my char with Bolster and all, but now I am not so sure. For when I am in the brackets 30+ at the moment should I be throwing on a stim? I have been using the Medpacks and Adrenals (medpacks more often) since I have a load of them from the dailies but did not know what people thought about stims for regular pvp
  18. Something simple to add people to that cantinas, put all the PVP and Mission terminals in there. That way instead of everyone awkwardly standing around the Combat training area people would be hanging in the Catinas. And you could add them to cantinas on other planets too, so that I did not have to go back to the fleet to pick up my pvp/GSF daily every damn day.
  19. Gotta love Bastion! So far I have had a lot of very close fights and only a couple lopsided ones and I have been flying on both sides.
  20. I would rather have a blaster rifle, then running up to guys punching them or hitting them over the head with a pistol...
  21. I would recommend Darkness (tank tree) or the Deception tree, though some people say it is best to start madness until about 24-25 then respec deception. Being a subscriber you will be able to change often. Some of the things I would buy from the cartel market: Jet Boost - and possibly its cooldown reductions, this is a great legacy wide buff that makes traveling at low levels and inside of buildings amazingly fast. If you want to level fast, you could pick up some of the Major EXP boosts or if you like leveling in WZs/GSF then maybe grabbing the exp legacy boosts for those. The other thing that a lot of people do are to buy the cartel packs and then resell them for the ingame money. You can then have a ton of credits to splash around. For the Color crystals, out of the packs you can get the level 10 req +40(stat) crystals if you got a power/crit/endurance crystal you can then unluck it for all characters on the account from the collections and make multiple copies for the same character (to give to companions for instance) I did this by buying a pack, reselling it the next day, then buying the cheapest level 10 power cystal that was in the collections tab (indestructable hawkeye orange or something)
  22. Other times they are just ganking until the other 55s start to show up.... I love open world pvp and have seen some people who will just gank until the alts or guildies start showing up. Also Ganking to me means a high or max level person killing a lowbie, which usually happens if you happen to run across one, this is expected on a PVP server, why else would you have chosen a pvp server. Camping on the other hand can be really annoying since they just wont let you do anything in the game until someone comes and deals with them. This has never happened to me in SWTOR but was a pretty common occurrence in games like WOW. In SWTOR just switch the instance and move on if you have no high level help or just want to move on.
  23. You know that if you go to the performance tab (or maybe earning?) it will tell you if you were docked for non-contribution if it is anything less than 100% then yes you got docked
  24. That or the game has not finished downloading yet. You will not be able to leave starter plantet while the downloading is going on in the background. Sometimes it will also stay at 99% until you log out and back in.
