  1. 1. I am a Trooper Commando, playing False Emperor flashpoint in Story Mode, with a companion and Combat Support Droid. Just before my trooper’s final fight with Malgus, Malgus sends all his guards away, consisting of more than a dozen men with lightsabers and attack rifles.. Why did he send them away? They were numerous enough to defeat me if they attacked me all at once. It seems unlikely that Malgus was concerned about making this a “fair” fight. It also seems unlikely that he felt confident enough to take me on alone, after I’d reached his throne room after fighting my way completely through that incredible and well-defended space station. Why didn’t he order his guards to attack, instead of removing them from the fight? 2. Just before the fight with Malgus, a female voice announces that the station is about to explode. Is Malgus surprised that this is happening, or did he set it in motion himself? He says, “Arkis Wode, well played”. Does this mean that he was surprised that Arkis Wode changed sides, and he thus realized that all was lost?
  2. I have several Flashpoints et. al. indicated on the upper right of my screen, but when I click on them, they provide info on the mission but there is no way to launch them. What am I missing?
  3. How do I transfer the Stronghold Decorations in my Inventory (apparently won in combat) to the Stronghold Decorations Listing so that I can use them?
  4. Thanks, Steve, it worked, and I was then able to go into the KOTET module, smooth as silk. I would never have figured out what to do, because I thought the yellow balls of fire with the large yellow arrows were Arcann’s offensive thrusts, and I originally stayed away from them, even after numerous defeats. So where do you find these specific "Ability Tool Tips"? Would it be too minor a challenge if we had a hint from Bioware that the shield got power from those yellow fireballs? Thanks again to all for your help.
  5. Ah, thanks, that workaround worked, and you weren't kidding about fighting bosses. But I've made it to where I have to fight Arcann, and he is the boss of bosses. He keeps beating the bleep out of me, and just when I think I'm starting to make a little progress, I'm zapped. Any advice on how to take him down?
  6. I’m a Jedi Knight Guardian struggling through Kotfe Chapter 16, “The Battle of Odessen”, and “Infiltrate Arcann’s Starship”. Trouble is, I’m stuck at a door with a yellow force field, and nowhere do I see any sign of how to get past it. I have retrieved 3 icons, consisting of a shield, and two different bombs, plus the contents of a blue pulsating box. But still no dice getting through that yellow force field. Any advice would be most welcome.
  7. Thanks very much, phalczen, for suggesting the minimap to locate the sensor hubs. I hardly ever looked there – until now, that is – but that sure solved the problem. Why they couldn’t be indicated on the main map is just another SWTOR mystery. Please stay tuned to this “Missions” Forum because I’m just starting on Yavin 4, and I’m sure I’ll have more questions. We need knowledgeable players like you to help clueless players like myself. Again, many thanks, and thanks also to the others who responded.
  8. I've tried relogging, quitting and praying, but nothing works. Actually, two have worked, where I was able to plant the perimeter sensors on the round huds, but nothing works for the remaining four. In fact, I don't see any markers for where they might be in all of the Yavin maps. I think I found the first two by sheer luck, but as mentioned, nothing works when I stumble upon one of the remaining four huds.
  9. I've left-clicked and right-clicked the marker, the ground surrounding it, the Jedi Knight, the companion, and just about everything else, but nothing happens. What am I missing?
  10. I found a sensor icon in my Inventory Missions, but I have tried every way imaginable to "plant" it at or NEAR the sensor markers on Yavin 4. What is the specific method for planting these things, once we've found the markers?
  11. In the Heroic 4 Aurora Cannon mission, I’m able to shoot above the red doors to open them, but they close as soon as I head toward the door. How am I supposed to get beyond the red doors after I open them?
  12. I see the odd shaped bottle, and I see someone sitting there at the bar, right where the green icon is pointing. But nothing is clickable. Am I missing something?
  13. In my opinion, it’s far more satisfying and gratifying to win a Flashpoint with the outside help of a Combat Support Droid, than it is to lose a Flashpoint with inferior resources, no matter how bravely and nobly we fight. I assure you, the thrill of victory far outweighs the agony of the usual inevitable defeat, and this added boost of the Combat Support Droid is most welcome. I’m also grateful for the time, effort, and expense that Bioware has gone through to create these numerous Flashpoint scenarios, and now I have the means and the incentive to experience them.
  14. I love that wonderful Combat Support Droid I’ve avoided Flashpoints like the plague because they were too tough for me, even in groups. (I’m not the most accomplished combat player.) So it was with hesitation that I selected the Revan Flashpoint at Fleet, in solo mode, and then wondered who this additional “person” was helping me and my companion zap the bad guys. (I guess I missed the staff meeting that informed us he was now available.) This droid was a blessing in my opinion, and I finally won a Flashpoint for the first time in what was still a tough but satisfying struggle. I hope the Combat Support Droid sticks around for SWTOR solo Flashpoints for a long, long time.
  15. How does one dismiss the m4-1s astromech droid? Preferably, permanently.
