  1. join Malgus in what though? He's not leading an army, or an elite troop of mercs, he's just one guy in a shuttle (he even lost his med-droid lol). He's just looking for relics to wipe Acina's brainwashing from his mind, he isn't out making allies, building powerbases, making clone troopers. I might be inclined to help him in his quest to remove his brainwashing if he joined *me* (as a fulltime companion *cough*please BW*cough*), but give up what I have to go join him? I see no profit in it for me.
  2. yeah, but modding your class ship would clash with the Legacy perk/unlocks, like dummy and mailbox etc. Which is why it would need to be a whole new capital ship stronghold that, once you "buy" on that character, replaces your class ship entirely on that char from then on. I think I've only used my class ship once since KOTFE released, I mostly use things in my stronghold and fast-travel using the starmap. It would be nice to have a reason to use a ship again.
  3. running Flashpoints over and over may be an "unenjoyable grind", but it's a surefire way to upgrade your character and strongholds. Putting the good stuff behind a hard-mode 16 man OP will just ensure that I will never play it, so never progress my character and stronghold, and so will quit the game though disillusionment and boredom. To be straight here: I play this game for the storyline, and the dailies. I do flashpoints because I *have to*, not because I want to. Making that *have to* something even worse than flashpoints would mean me logging in, playing Legacy Of The Sith story, then logging out until the next expansion.
  4. i remember being disappointed the day Starfighter launched, and finding out I wouldn't be flying my souped-up Imperial Agent ship in it. Pfff. But I guess we as characters have outgrown our little runabouts how. I mean, even Smuggler has a whole smuggling fleet operating out of Odessen. They could have the cream of the crop. Which is why it would be great if they would give us a capital ship "stronghold", not quite the size of Guild ones, but bigger than Class ones. Something we can do up and zoom to planets on during cutscenes. That's not outside the scope of the software to do.
  5. I've only got this far on my Consular, but the new Chancellor specifically says Odessen will become a full member-world of the Republic, with a Senator. Otherwise, what happens on Odessen is down to Odessen (same as what happens on Onderon is down to the ruler of Onderon etc). My main is an Inquisitor, and I didn't hesitate for a second to return to my home in the Empire. I must admit, in the cutscenes where I got my Dark Council seat back, and the Darth Nox title, I had all the feels and got a bit choked up lol. I, like the "outlander", had felt like five years of my (swtor) life were taken from me, and now I'm back. That Odessen is to become the Hand Of The Emperor, and a full Imperial Planet proper, is just the icing on the cake. Except... I know Lana said it would take a while to redecorate it in Imperial flags and troops, but I hope it's soon. Coming home after a hard day's Pub slaying to find my base crawling with pubs like "hey, commander, sup?" is very disconcerting. I hope BW manage the Odessen redesign soon. (though I don't know how they are going to do that. make 3 instances? One fully Imperial, one fully Republic, and one Alliance like it is now?)
  6. great, another race that you can't use hats/hoods on... bang goes my Sith Ugnaut . *pout*
  7. agree with above, it's a totally game-breaking mechanism for various reasons 1) the queues for 50/55 fps are empty, cos everyone is levelling 2) those that are levelling are rushing through just in class, so its hard to get people for Heroic4s or whatever 3) You're *meant* to do everything, thats how the game was designed. I get it you've been "grinding worlds" for years, but what do you do when you get to 55? grind dailies. At least grinding worlds you get variety. 4) So you've got 15 level 55s.. now what, big-shot? you can only play one at a time. and that means you have 15 chars you have to grind to get to 60 the old fashioned way (cos 12x will be up by then). Nah, I'm a fan of starting from scratch and doing everything, class, world, heroics, seeker, macro, fps, tacticals, ops. I'd hate to rush through to get to 55, being 55 is BORING (until the new content comes in). And god-forbid someone new to the game does 12x on their first ever char. Can't wait till 12x is up and we can all get back to normal. And Bio, please PLEASE don't do it again.
  8. yeah, the map is next to useless too. its a tiny square covered in one red/blue/green pulsating blob. I can't even see which direction of the compass I'm pointed at with the map. It needs a zoom function, afterall I only need to see a couple thousand meters around me, not the whole map. (I'm sure it's completely leligable on a 40 inch monitor at 1920px, but on my small monitor it's like the size of a windows icon) as i said in another thread, we need some kind of 360/x/y/z radar like the original Elite game had.
  9. I'm not talking personally, I've enough rep to buy new ships and have level 2 the default. But generally, there needs to be some balancing, either by upgrade level or xp or what have you. Can you imagine in February when all the ftp players get their defaults, and launch in and face a team with 2 months worth of upgrades? Not going to be fun, or funny.
  10. As I understand it, there are hanger consoles on Fleet, Dromund Kaas and Coruscant? Can we get a hanger console on our starship instead? I hate having to go to fleet every day just to click the blue box then leave again. It's pointless and time consuming. Infact, you could take the space mission box out of the Starship and put a Hanger Mission Box in there instead, i mean, is anyone going to play space missions much now? (reason I suggest the starship for this, is if I'm playing a bunch of starfighter games, loading time is a lot less if you're stood on your starship, it's almost instant in and out of game, whereas if you're stood on Tatooine or Kaas or whatever it has to reload the world every time you finish a fighter game, which adds up over the course of an hour or two. If the mission console was on our starship, we could cue and play Starfighter missions quickly, like we used to play space missions.) Anyway, just my 2p. Glad there are alternatives to fleet anyway, I hate going to fleet, it's so laggy. I certainly don't want to have to go there every day lol
  11. oh yeah, that's annoying as hell lol. 100/999, and it's saying "we can still win this".. erm no, it's a scientific impossibility. Even if we took and held the three sats for the next 5 seconds, we wouldn't rack up 900 points lol. Stupid really. How about a more realistic "it's pointless continuing, we've lost bigtime" or "no way we can win this, but we fight on anyway" or something.
  12. Come on, the map is completely useless! It's just a tiny square covered in a mess of blotches, I can't even work out which compass direction I'm facing from the map. Can't we zoom in on it at all? I only need to see my immediate 360 surrounding, not the whole play area (most of the time). Anyone ever play the old Elite on BBC Micro? Now, that had a radar gizmo at the bottom, very very simple, that showed targets 360 and above and below. Something like that would be perfect in this game. I'm getting blaster hits, or missile locks, and I have no idea which direction its coming from. You're telling me an advanced starfighter with all that fancy hardware inside can't tell me which bit of the ship is being hit (and from where?). and yeah, I now C to change cam and such, but i don't need to see you, just know are you above me, below me, left, right, what Anyway, that's my 2p on the map. Quickfix give us zoom, ultimately rethink and replace.
  13. you don't even need AI on enemy ships, just have them circling the satellite, some way out, some close in tight. That's what happens in game *a lot*, so practice following and swooping in on them would come in very handy. Also I second the "select your ship" for tutorial, so you can test out your current loadout. The tutorial ship is awesome, but I have no idea what/how you would get it in game (anyone know the loadout of the tutorial ship?)
  14. How are teams balanced? or are they just totally random? I've been in countless games that end in 10/1000, simply because one team is 2 default ships per player, and the other is 5 upgraded ships and better. Totally unbalanced. (the odd occasion where the teams do manage a similar shipcount the scores are 960/1000 and such, and it's a much better game.) Not saying that having more than 2 ships makes you an uber-player, but if you have more it's a sign you've been playing *a lot* and so have rep to upgrade. Can we get some more reliable balance going here? (and i's been like this since the day after release, some people must have played 50 games the first day lol)
