  1. I agree 100%. Right now crafting is not worth it. I've crafted from day one, not for profit but for my own toons. Now I can't even do that. very disappointed. I thought this supposed to be a play your way game, evidently they don't care about crafters.
  2. This is exactly why ops should not be part of the "story". They can be bonuses .... but for the story no, unless there is a solo option. It hinders the experience. I felt this most notably on Oricon and Iokath. Tried groups for both and the nastiness of the players turned me off. So I agree those who want to play solo should be given the same opportunities and respect as those who only pvp and raid. It's not like solo players pay any less to play that raiders.
  3. Yes and no. A previous comment was made that when using gf you sometimes get into a group that is not pleasant. Unless you are a raider, and have run an op numerous times you get nothing but grief in the group. Lately I've run with some very cool groups but in years past most of the ops groups I joined were full of bullies. I gave up on ops until this expansion. So maybe those of you who don't want "solo" operations should be a little more kind and patient to those who are not as familiar with the ops as you are.
  4. Agree. If they don't fix it I'll probably drop sub at the end of the year after 8 years as a sub non stop. And if I drop so will those in my family who still play to keep me company. (4 of them)
  5. It really doesn't matter who you romance. The only romance characters that have any play after the original three chapters, or on their return, are Theron and Lana. If you stay true to say Quinn, or Corso or Iresso -- so what, once you have a single reunion scene they are no longer relevant to the story. They would have been better off not having the options for romance after the initial chapters because it doesn't matter. No does choosing which side you are going to side with on Iokath, Ossus etc. It doesn't matter you are forced to play your faction storyline with a few minor missions for the saboteur. I still am enjoying the play but telling us choices matter ....they really don't.
  6. 6.0 made crafting not profitable at all. It also makes it too expensive just to gear your own legacy characters. I loved crafting, now I'm meh not worth it.
  7. Yes you do get them as companions.. I have them on agent, sorcerer, warrior, shadow, knight and trooper.
  8. I agree. Command crates gave you better gear at each rank. The crap I'm getting in Reknown is garbage. it's a rehash of the stuff you get as you go through Onderon and Mek-Sha. While Onderon and Mek-Sha have interesting story lines, the weekly/dailes on Onderon can't be completed in one day as one of the mission is broken. And the only thing to do on Mek-sha after story is a heroic mission that requires at least two. Beautiful graphics on Onderon and Mek-Sha, okay storyline but very glitchy. And the Reknown stuff is definitely not worth the grind. and Bioware EA completely killed crafting.
  9. I disagree. My agent hates the Empire and was happy to join the republic. And I just wish she actually could instead of being a double agent.
  10. I agree. They have destroyed crafting. One of my favorite parts of the game, though story is #1 and they screwed that up too. If my republic defects to empire or vice versa.... there should be a different path that what they have done. Choices don't matter. This is the first expansion that has me considering just dropping my sub.
  11. I don't like the changes. At least with the last change I was able to craft gear for my own use and didn't have to run ops. Now I can't craft anything higher than what I have without the new Isotope... which you can't easily obtain. It's frustrating to say the least.
  12. I agree 100%. I don't mind joining group, but unfortunately I've had some very negative group interactions just because they are new flashpoints to me or ops. I don't appreciate the attitude of those who never solo and don't want to, that's fine if that's what they prefer. But unfortuntately OPS players and hard core PVPers tend to be pretty rude. I respect their right to play the game their way, I expect the same respect back. It doesn't happen. I've wanted to play some of the later ops because the seem important to the storyline, but I've found unless you are hard core ops you aren't very welcome.
  13. If they don't make gettings the materials easier , and or less expensive I'll stop crafting. I've mastered all the crafts and have schematics for up to 246 but they are useless because I'm in a small guild that does not do operations. Feel like I've wasted a lot of time mastering crafting.
  14. I agree. As much as I wish I could do all the content I'm mostly a solo player. With so little companion interaction after the initial three chapters, it really is playing solo. And since the end of KOTET it's been pretty boring. Ossus was blah, Dantooine even more so. It just seems like once you do the initial mission it's just grind grind grind. I have have numerous master crafters but I can't craft top tier gear. So I feel like a lot of time has been wasted even bothering to craft, which was one aspect I enjoyed, until KOTFE. Now it's not worth the time and I don't need the credits. I understand Operations and PVP are a huge thing for a lot of players, but if you play mostly solo, it's impossible almost to get gear in Operations, even when you are allowed to join, and impossible to rank up in pvp without better gear, and with all the cheating that goes on. I've been playing a long time, the last 4 months I've barely logged on. Hopefully, the remaining companions will come back a lot more satisfactorily. The last one that was almost great was Iokath.
  15. That I seriously doubt and I'll assume sarcasm in your post. I just think they've done such a good job on most of the storylines and have stated many times choices matter, it just seems like, well they'd make the choices matter.
  16. This I one hundred percent agree with. I don't like the empire, my operative in fact hates the empire. But I don't like the republic either . I hope at some point the alliance I built can persuade one side or the other to join the Alliance. I don't like the double agent option with OSSUS. it was not difficult for my operative but was very hard for my counselor. They said out choices would matter. Other than the choice between Vette and Torian I don't see that our choices matter at all. t
  17. For the most part the writers do a good job on the over all storylines. At least in my opinion. Including the romance options in the initial three chapters. However, When it comes to KOTFE and beyond they have seriously fallen down on the job. I've run all the various characters through all the content through OSSUS. If as my trooper decides to stay loyal throughout the content to their faction and romance, it pretty much sucks. The same really for all of them. If you don't romance Theron or Lana or Koth, once you FINALLY REUNITE WITH YOUR romance companion, other that the initial meet it really means nothing. Now that I've played through all romance options, original, and beyond. I'm kind of the opinion it doesn't really matter. For my trooper in particular I'm very disappointed that not more was made of the reunion with Aric or Elara. I was hoping they would be more included in content after the reunion but they are not. That goes for every other original romance option on every other type character as well. Either do romance options of leave them out. If you need help with that let me know. I'm a writer and your writers obviously don't understand the needs of those who chose one romance option or another.
  18. I'd play through all the class stories first. If you are only going to play 1 from each faction through KOTFE and KOTET I recommend Knight and Warrior. To me those two fit KOTFE and KOTET best.
  19. I was able to solo the heroic /veteran mode when it first started (then called heroic). When it changed to veteran I can't solo it. I can get all the way to the final boss, and I suppose if I wanted to keep trying more than three times to beat it I probably could. But the flashpoint itself is tedious and a grind...and then to get through it all and not beat the final boss... i'm just skipping them from now on. Too frustrating and not really needed. The only one to complete that has any effect at all is Voss and its a very a minor effect in Wrath and Ruin.
  20. You can chose Republic or Empire-- or lay low with the Alliance. I chose to believe the last option means the alliance still exists... and is a power in it's own right. That said, I've chose empire on some republic on some and alliance on some. We will see if it even matters.
  21. This. I want to see how that will play out as well. Hopefully, if I sided with Empire and I'm a Knight, that will allow me to actually be welcome on Drommond Kass. And vice versa.
  22. I'm with you. I'm reserving judgement depending on how they handle going to the republic or empire (opposition side) . I have several from the republic side that ultimately sided with the empire based on the republics and Saresh's actions. And a couple from the empire who ultimately sided with the republic. They need to address that in some way.
  23. Exactly how I feel. I'm still subbed. But every month, I struggle with keeping it going. Getting companions back is great. But companions are just tools now. There is ZERO interaction if it's not in a cut scene. I'd like to see more companion content like it used to be. And even then it just ended. And I know since I don't raid I'll never get to the full effect of the KOTFE, KOTET ...etc story. Alliance Commander actually doesn't mean a thing. Iokath is not conquered. I loved the story right through KOTET, but starting with IOKATH the quality of story has gone way down and the content is so repetitive it's mind numbing. As for PVP until you can get rid of those who are cheating, I won't do it. Hoping next update is better than the last few, or I'm going to have to give up on the game.
  24. I have several characters I've played through that Traitor among the Chiss and yet the bio on Theron doesn't show he's a traitor and he is still available as a companion I can pull. I think that's a problem as it's not the same for all characters. He either is available as companion or he's not after those chapters. It gets confusing.
