  1. Dom can't post, but I assure you that he is flattered, and says "May Thor be with you all".
  2. I think the 4v4 rankings will prove the "sorcs are too easy to counter" crowd right. We could be in 8v8s because it was easier to hide, and you don't have that luxury in 4v4s. I look forward to seeing how few sorcs are in high ranked teams vs other dps/heals. My guildie, Tenebras, jokes that when he solo queues that "the team with the least amount of sorcs/mercs wins". While this is obviously a humorous generalization, the point stands that our turret spec is much easier shut down than, say, a sniper is (additionally, the sniper's CDs are off the GCD and ours aren't), and madness is sorely lacking some burst potential. I guess time and the numbers will prove who's right.
  3. Sorc buffs are negligible lol. It was a QoL change. IMHO snipers are in a good place. They are parsing well, they pvp well. Not sure what else we need, lol.
  4. Since marks is a turret spec (honestly, lethality requires you to stand still a lot too but you get a lot more instacasts) it really behooves you to plan out where you are going to be standing. When you have to move, try to plan it out ahead of time so that you can line it up with your instacasts. When running, always be hitting something (even if it's autoshoot) and try to keep the movement as limited as possible. Remember, you have a 35m range so if you position yourself someplace where you can hit everything, you won't have to move as much. I can't be sure since I wasn't there in your raid, but excessive movement is probably one of your biggest issues since KP doesn't have much movement in the boss fights, iirc. This is of course assuming you are hitting your buttons in the right order and all that
  5. I can confirm that entrench works great for pipe smash I think that the buff from Raptus only affects tech damage for us so leth would be the superior option, but I can still compete as marks so I usually don't bother switching specs. Dread council is definitely a leth fight (I don't usually hybrid so I can't speak to its effectiveness but I imagine it would also be good). Just dot everything up and have fun (our other sniper usually kites Raptus so I can just tab target around and cause mayhem >8D ). At the final phase lethality's dot execute is awesome.
  6. It still works if you are running the right SA relics. I'm not exactly sure which ones do/don't work, but I'm using DF SA and UW SA and it's still working for me. I wonder why they've fixed the tank relics but still haven't re-fixed SA (they were fixed but they broke them again at some point). Either way, double stacking SA is far and above the best option at this point. >_<
  7. /signed x1000 It's absolutely ridiculous that the average time to gear out a raid in BiS implants is over HALF A YEAR. I don't know who thought this was a good idea, but it definitely needs fixed ASAP. Fridge is going to look like Lulu by the time new content comes out if this isn't fixed >_<
  8. I can confirm this bug, we've gotten it pretty readily iirc
  9. Successful troll is successful. I'm not surprised, though. You guys are easier to troll than the kids on neopets, where I honed my own skills back in the day. Chew on that, guys (or gals, we don't discriminate around here). You guys are easier to troll than little children.
  10. As someone who mainly raids, I can't help but be a bit disappointed. I am excited for actual space combat (as opposed to the gross on the rails garbage we have now. Let's be real, it ain't no star fox), don't get me wrong. But I still want to raid too, so it's bittersweet for me. I finally get the space combat I've wanted, but at the expense of the part of the game I play right now. What really sucks is that I really thought that SWTOR was going to be a game I could PvE in long-term (I'm one of those dissatisfied WoW ex-pats who kept hopping games until I finally got one I liked). Oh well. Here's hoping Wildstar holds up to my PvE hopes, because if SWTOR guts PvE here I'm out.
  11. Not gonna lie, I am so disappoint that I can't romance Doctor Lokin. :< HE'S MY FAVORITE also WTB Khem Val romance for the lulz
  12. OP wasn't very articulate, but I agree with him. The mob density is awful, and the dailies are an exercise in frustration. As soon as I hit legend, I'm out. Ugh. I didn't think it could get any worse than Makeb's mob density, but I guess I was wrong. It's not that I dislike dailies; I thought CZ-198 worked really well. But then again, CZ-198 didn't have me tripping over mobs while having to travel halfway across a planet to get to an objective.
  13. Oh, god, on my SI... "JUST SHOW ME WHERE THE FUN IS" "JUST SHOW ME WHERE THE FUN IS" "JUST SHOW ME WHERE THE FUN IS"
  14. Except it's not. Lorewise it ONLY makes sense to do all in dread fortress then move to dread palace. Don't hide behind your made-up nerd code only to modify it at your earliest convenience. It's okay, though. I got a lot of laughs at SF's failure to safety dance on Brontes attempts.
  15. GTN, the Cartel Market, and Collections no longer link to chat for sure. Unsure if it's affecting anything else. >_>
  16. This x1000 I am so sick of running the same raids over and over. What, was a YEAR of TFB not enough for you?! Sheesh! (P.S. I am not max rep with Section X or CZ-198 and don't really care. I'll get them eventually)
  17. Spoiler alert: Not even WoW had dps meters built in. They were all addons utilizing WoW's api. Same with Rift (though that didn't have an api for a while, so parsers were the norm for a long time). Parsers for SWTOR are available, just don't expect people to jump in your TORParse/MOX Parser group in a random FP. It's not gonna happen. Not gonna lie, though, I'd love an api for SWTOR, along with an armory. We'd be able to track guild rankings and kills way more effectively if we had those tools.
  18. Yeah, he got perma'd on the forums. He's kind of a ****, but he's our **** Yeah, but I don't get why you would just flat out remove something. That's like removing 16 man raids because more people raid 8 mans due to the difficulty of getting 16 people together. It's not like people won't play arenas if they keep 8v8s in. I have the feeling that a lot of PvPers would be happy to do both ranked 8v8s and 4v4s, kind of like how WoW players do multiple arena sizes.
  19. Yeah, just flat out removing 8v8s was a terrible idea. No idea why on earth they did it.
  20. I agree, but I doubt that they'll blanket give everyone game time or CC or anything. I think people affected will have to call customer service and complain I just don't have that much faith in Bioware's goodwill these days, I suppose.
  21. My favorite will always be when they broke Ilum in 1.2 allowing imp players to grind valor out on pubs in their base while the pubs trapped inside were unable to leave
  22. OH GOD, PLEASE NO Don't give them any more ideas
