People have been requesting a team of companions in flashpoints for a while (with a lot of people arguing against the idea for all sorts of odd reasons) but currently the dev team is unable to make that feature possible yet so the GSI droid is the compromise since it's just 1 npc that follows you around. I wonder for simplicity's sake they can make it so you can have 3 boosted helper npcs like the droid who happen to look like your companions using the same skills just to keep the immersion factor. It would be a team of healer, tank, dps & fanservice.

I agree with you that even with the 12x the game really does feel slow, in that there's a lot of long walking on the map to get from point A to point B.. to C, D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X and finally Y & Z so you have to use the quick travel thing, stronghold teleport, fleet teleport or else die of old age. It feels really jarring and breaks the immersion quite a lot. Like being interrupted every 10 mins trying to enjoy a good book or movie to load the next chapter LMAO. Ability Bloat is another thing I agree on, it does feel like there's too many powers that could easily be condensed into a more fluid sequence so that all powers can fit on one quick bar rather than 4. This game is a lot of fun if you can tolerate those bad design elements but I hear you, your concerns are pretty valid. And yes, once 12x goes away I will stop subbing because if I have to go through slow quest grinds to level up, I rather spend more time at work or on my brokerage accounts and make some real progress and cash flow. Grinding and being forced to drag my feet through slow lanes and muddy roads is not fun to me, and I reckon some folks don't take much convincing (or any convincing at all) to stop paying for self torture heh heh heh.
  3. I don't care about trivializing content, I just want that GSI droid in Flashpoints to help me mass murder everything and speed through things at my pace, on a ground and time of my choosing. If you want to drive 45mph on the highway that's your thing, fine, but some of us prefer driving 60mph or higher and getting stuff done easier and quicker. More choice is better than less choice, more freedom better than less freedom.

To OP: Your situation is the opposite of mines When I was studying I spent most of my time studying and working... then after I got a career in accounting- I play more and more MMOs like SWTOR/WOW/City of Heroes/Villains to help pass the time each month so I can invest my way to early retirement. (I'm on course to have enough passive income to cover all my expenses within 10 years and in about 5 more years, enough to screw around too). Lay off the games for a bit and make more money... then play the games later in life. Trust me, you'll have plenty of time wasters, have no fear of that.
  5. I almost died laughing at this topic, very entertaining. All of my mains from Sith Warrior to Sith Assassin to Jedi Knight to Bounty Hunter are all tanks and geared out in only tank gear... I level up as tank, roleplay as tank, do dailies as tank, do random queues as tank but I will never waste time tanking for subhuman garbage like that. My next alt is going to be another tank too.
  6. I would love to see more Phased or Instanced Daily Missions so I can do my Weekly quests without all the annoying people crowding around clicky items and farming quest mobs. All other players do in this game is slow me down and get in my way. Trying to finish some missions and roleplay a bit and all these players crowd around ruining the fun.
  7. I like that idea actually. There should be a hilarious intro quest too involving an ugly junk dealer trying to sell you a dirty bag of what appears to be smelly crap. The junk dealer should have a bad racist accent and no self respect (scratches his own butt and slapping his little slave boys & girls in front of you) advertising his bag of smelly crap while you go through the contents and find pieces of an awesome HK 51 droid you can put together.

The only thing EA Bioware is going to fix is your wallet and credit card- There's a serious performance issue with your money folks, too much lag regarding whether or not to buy cartel coins today, tomorrow or next month. So don't ya worry folks, there will be plenty of new incentives to spend that money and thus, fix your laggy money performance.
  9. I would love for bound on account keybinds. Also, as a legacy level perk thing I wish we could stick NPCs of ourselves in Strongholds. With options like Sleeping in bed, laying on couch, sleeping on floor, or some animated pose so we can immerse ourselves in the legacy some more. I think it would be hilarious and awesome to walk into my Stronghold on my Jedi Knight and see my Sith Warrior main taking a nap in a couch while his Imperial Agent brother is sorting stuff in the Legacy Storage chest.
  10. "Bad" or "Don't give a $$$$" playstyle in FP/Operations don't mean 12x is the cause. It just means some players really don't care enough. Some of us use the 12x to make different alts so we can run dailies/collect the new 192 companion gear sets (since the weekly happens... once a week) or to finally try out different builds like Sith Inquister vs Sith Assassin etc, not to hang around in op groups.
  11. Because I am selfish and feel jealous and mad when other people level ahead of me doing just class quests instead of grouping with me doing side quests and smelling the virtual roses. Otherwise, I just get upset when everyone else levels faster than me, even though it doesn't make me worse off.. I want 12x to end because... because I am selfish! When I drive on the freeway at 40 mph and enjoy the sights, I get angry when others are blazing by me at 60 to 65 mph and getting to their destinations sooner. It is unfair to Meeeeeeeeeeeee. 12x and quick travel should be removed for the matter so everyone has to play at my speed and pace because- Nah I'm kidding.
  12. WoW is one of the most fun I had in an MMO, besides City of Villains/Heroes and SWTOR. You really can't go wrong with the Draenor Xpac experience, loads of great fun. As much as I like the class stories of SWTOR, the planetary class quest areas from 1-50 have way too much meaningless travel distance. WoW keeps the travel time shorter and a lot more interesting since high reward/xp quests also take place along the travel routes so you kill kill get rewarded kill kill rewarded to the next objective.
  13. The Jedi Knight Character Creation armor should come with a backpack full of school books & binders, pencils/pens etc. It should also say "Honor Student" or "Good Smart Kid". In addition the armor should include pants that don't fit too well (slightly oversized) and a shirt that hangs too low.
  14. Yes that is rather barbaric. Since I am an enlightened person who respects the dignity of life, I would settle for just a quarter million dead fish heads and dragging their naked bodies through the streets on a speeder. I wouldn't want my fellow imperials or companions feeling too sick or depressed on the job or getting too sore/tired. Overworking is a huge problem no matter the galaxy or time period.

Ties the naked body to a speeder and drags it across the streets in public for everyone to see. Afterwards, Imperial troops come in and behead and mutilate about a quarter million of the fishhead race, stab to death another quarter million and smash the heads open of half million more for all the ugly Manaan fishheads to see. -1 week later- Manaan Stronghold is fine by the local government there, though the streets will be quiet for a long while since lots of fish heads are dead.

I recently bought Treek and unlocked her for my whole account because I wanted a high quality sturdy companion that was versatile, multirole and can use the same set of legacy gear for leveling and also, to standardize legacy equipment for all alt companions. Simply put, I wanted a companion that can tank and heal well, that I can rely upon for ALL future alts for my solo missions & flashpoints and Treek meets my expectations. For my Tank toons, Treek isn't "needed" but I find that little Ewok pretty powerful as both heals and ranged dps (her aoe is great). For dps toons, she is a great tank that can self heal a bit and can switch to healer if I feel tanking isn't needed. I sometimes use melee dps companions on my tanks when I feel heals aren't needed but Treek is a great compromise between heals and dps there too.
  17. I give you 5 points and another. A man after my own heart who enjoys the freedom of doing stuff on your own time and on a ground of your choosing, not another's. Choice is great, options are great, but limiting options by forcing others to "play together" just because of some religious belief of "MMO" DOGMA masked with rationalizations doesn't cut it. No thanks, I prefer to mess around and have fun on my own and at random times, random pace. It's a freedom a lot of us get in a dynamic mmorpg that isn't possible in real life because from 9am to 6pm, we are forced to group up with people who are competing against you and will get you financially killed without remorse.
  18. City of Heroes/Villains... URGH my heart aches. So many years of great fun and testing out builds/specs. It was the only MMO I loved enough to buy two copies and two accounts for so that I could level myself up and generally role play, well, two of myself Brute, Tanker, Scrapper, Stalker, Controller, Dominator, Defender.. and my favorite, the Mastermind with your choice of Ninja/Zombie/Robots/Thugs/Commando army. =weeps manly tears= I mourn the passing of an old friend, I mourn the passing of City of Heroes/Villains and... #### NCsoft for killing the game
  19. Heya, thanks for the input guys, I will keep the Tanking stat legacy sets in my shared storage. That is a great question about the Ear/implants. For Treek I have both implants with defense on it but lacking the earpiece (because I was cheap and wanted to save the measly credits) so she's missing the stats from there too. The level 41 part about silver mobs hitting harder is something I overlooked because I haven't played at those levels in a long time but I'll keep that in mind. I don't often play Ranged DPS and usually play Juggernaut Tank or tanks built toons so I'm not use to relying on a companion to tank for me. I'm using the cartel collection 41 endurance crystals right now but gonna use two +41 power ones for the heal/dps sets. For context, the current toon with Treek I'm testing is a level 42 Sith Sorc and I'm planning to have Treek function as a goto tank & heal for future Ranged alts.
  20. So after many years of watching everyone else play with Treek I finally bought that little Ewok and unlocked it for all my alts last night. I also created 4 legacy AIM tank sets for Treek level 17, 25, 33 & 41 and did a trial run with her on my level 41 Sorcerer and saw that this Ewok companion wasn't bad as a tank, though she still took a lot of damage from trash mobs. Since most of the mods were endurance & defense, her damage was lacking and didn't kill mobs well either. Heals were decent but lacking due to the limits of the tank stats at level 41. I am thinking of building a Heal/DPS set tonight with primary focus on power & crit for level 17, 25, 33 & 41 but was wondering if I should just scrap the tank set and put all the heal/dps mods in the 4x Tank Legacy sets I made. Is the tank set worth keeping around at that level range? These 4 legacy armor sets will be used for all future Treek companions on new alts.
  21. Also, I love GW2. Mobs don't get tagged in the game so you can freely attack whatever you want and all players get credit for the kill. The only gripe I have with that game is that with areas which are empty (a lot of zones), some of the bigger events don't scale down to say 1 to 3 players so are impossible to do.
  22. I play this game solo for the most part because I like messing around with companions, quests, solo flashpoints, and story stuff on my own. Swapping Legacy bound gear setups and trying them on alts is amusing for me too. I subscribe for everything this game has to offer EXCEPT the social aspect, because I don't care about grouping. I could care less about group stuff and group operations or flashpoints and just want to enjoy what this game offers with AI companions and AI Super Droid and purposely turn off general chat so I don't have to read crap written by other players. I prefer the freedom and options this game offers and if you want to do group stuff, go ahead, nobody stopping you. Just because this is an MMO doesn't mean I have or you should have to team up and high five each other.
  23. YES, Still Broken. I did the Rishi Daily quest last night and picked the Devoted Allies Strength Offhand Shield for my Khem Val and Broonmark to use... it says Tech Power on the shield and only Broonmark can use it.
  24. All this "pay to win waaaah" crying is just a way of saving face for people too cheap or poor to pay the subscription fee. I am all for permanent 12x for subscribers and if people are too cheap or poor to pay the 15 a month, there should be a cartel market unlock that they can pay for which would unlock the 12xp main story quests for the entire account or for individual toons. That way, even the most broke player can still find it accessible.

I agree that the 12x XP should be kept permanent since it is one of the best quality of life improvements in the game play experience, smoother and more streamlined the better as opposed to Stop and Go grind traffic. The 12x XP can be turned off easily by using an item from a vendor so if you want to torture yourself and make things tougher then it is an option. But please, don't sugercoat or hide your jealousy and disdain of other people choosing to enjoy the 12x XP to level faster- it's their choice and their freedom to play in a way that they find fun. All this wasted time typing up rationalized responses as to why 12x XP should be removed or how everything should be slower and to force someone should play your way is mentally sick and self serving. The options should be kept open for people to choose how to proceed, either quickly, briskly or slowly etc rather than satisfy some mentally sick desires of some players who think everyone should SLOW DOWN SLOW DOWN and GRIND GRIND GRIND ENJOY LIKE ME NOOO YOU OUT LEVELED ME I AM MAD.
