  1. Too bad BW couldn't set this up for merchandising. Share their models to a 3D printer. I bet many players would pay to have their character as an action figure similar to this. Well done. They look great.
  2. With so many Dev posts recently - can we get a comment on this thread? How about .. "Our artists are currently designing several hoods with over the shoulder lekku for use with existing assets." Or perhaps - "The new Cartel store will offer racial and/or cosmetic changes for existing characters for those of you who are displeased with your initially chosen appearnce." .. not that I don't like my Twi'lek Assassin .. just that I'd be willing to switch due to aesthetics - I'd like to see my assassin in a hood!
  3. With all the Dev posts recently we should really be pushing for detail on this. This is one topic I'm guessing most players want confirmed. At least it is for me.
  4. I'd like to here some solid information regarding 1.4. The F2P announcement with no comment to 1.4 is demoralizing. I can see why many would be frustrated enough not to wait around. F2P to me simply means vanity model.. which isn't focused on delivering a fun engaging game but rather .. well .. a facebook app designed to milk addicted players. How a Star Wars game with so much potential and support behind it is beyond me. I would think it'd be like shooting fish in a barrel.. ... sorry for ranting ... I agree with the OP. Would like to get some detail from BW what is coming and when.

  6. Here's the thing. I agree XvT might not really do the trick in today's market.. but that's not completely what I'm suggesting here ... I'm talking about a game with Space Sim element AND action adventure.. RP a character in a sci fi setting to be able to own your own ship and jump from planet to space station doing missions with your buddies.. doesn't that set itself apart from a standard space sim to make a difference? Freelancer didn't quite do that (but it had great economy), XvT didn't for sure (it's space element was awesome for it's time though). If done properly I think so. It's the potential that's lost here.. if only they had more vision from the get go. The force is not strong with them. They are force flunkies.

That would be because you're playing first person shooters, the fact you wanted to stab your eyes with a fork is exactly our problem.. there is such good potential to replicate and continue the great game xwing vs tie. Somewhat surprised your SW referenced games exclude the most glaring title of this topic. As far as there being a market.. we can only really speculate until someone steps up to the plate, but in my circle, games like Xwing and Freelancer are sorely missed and have been for years..

  9. I have to wonder what F2P will bring to the space area of SWTOR. Comments by a dev stating he's so excited what they are doing with space missions, then the F2P announcement reveals 10 new space missions.. is that it? If so, I can easily say I'm disappointed. I can't say I'm surprised, but I can't help but wonder how this isn't going a better direction in only a years time? Backing from a major gaming producer like EA, experienced RP developers from BW, precedent set by previous Star Wars titles (KoTOR and XvT) .. looking at the forums I seem to notice two major repeating topics space combat and player appearance... aside from class balance issues (which admittedly is difficult in any MMO). I have many more thoughts about what the game coulda shoulda woulda been if us players actually got what we wanted (rather than a money grab) .. but I think what it comes down to, will they be stringing people along here regarding any potential major changes to Space mechanics, or was that it? The big 10 missions?
  10. I just opened two tickets and both times they closed the tickets without even commenting on the issue of hoods. I requested a racial change since I didn' t know this was a problem until way late in playing the character.. a simple nope is all i got both times. Not even a comment regard yes or no as to weather they'll offer this in the future.

I suggest you comment there to add to the 'petition' so to speak.. no acknowledgement or comments by devs at all. Does a female Twi'lek wearing the Force Mystic (or Force Lord) Imperial Mask show Lekku or no? Im wondering this since the mask is designed to display while wearing the cloaked hood with the Force Lord/Mystic set... and by extension may work with other cloak armor. Additionally I thought I've read elsewhere Twi'leks CAN wear helmets that hide their Lekku.. sooo.. does this work? Anyone a Twi'lek who's purchased the Mask?? What I'm getting at is could I use a Force Mystic Mask and wear WITH a hood? hiding the lekku? I'm reaching here.. just looking for SOME way to wear a cloak as a Twi'lek . I realize.. why choose a twi'lek if you want to hide the Lekku, but it's more of a RP thing - two concubine twi'lek's under command of tojo the sith lord.. working with the legacy stuff. Point being.. I'm looking to to be a twi'lek who can wear a cloak! Jeeeze.
  13. I've got the same item on my wish list. SWTOR would need a heavy face lift to meet my expectations, but space combat off rails would be a start.
  14. I see this as a larger issue. Lack of social dialog in other FP is causing frustration for some that need to farm social from only 1 valid FP per faction... The attitude isn't tolerable, but you can see where they are coming from. A player SHOULD be able to enjoy the dialog and choices each and every time.. I find it rare when players don't want to skip right through dialog. More options for gathering social would help this. Social points are a great mechanic, but it's not fully implemented, other FP need to generate more Social and the Devs MUST have know this would be a problem ... why create the system with a single FP weighted in Social and Light/Dark choices by comparison to the others? I would have expected people to farm it being so accessible. Add more dialog into other FP's!
  15. Playing a BH and like it, also leveling an operative simultaneously.. I must say it feels strange playing a "007 agent" character and a BH .. the weapon assignments do seem backwards. Bounty Hunters not getting rifles because Vanguards would look 'too similar' aesthetically is valid I suppose, but so much of the fun in this game is RP.. which means choosing how you look and act. as a Bounty Hunter it feels limiting to say "all bounty hunters use pistols". When I think of BH, besides the obvious Boba, I think Trandoshan concussion rifles and IT-88s.. I'm not even saying all BH SHOULD have rifles, only that so many of the archetypes do that it feels lacking for the class that is so fun to play I'd almost go as far as saying I feel the same about most classes, I wish they'd open up secondary weapon types - the world might feel just a little less rigid. It could be a pretty cool unlock.
  16. Did BW allow the species change? I've worked up to 50 on an Assassin and was hoping they would have implemented something by now. Sadly I would consider the change at this point.   17. 1) Assassins are not equivilant to other AC's as DPS or Tanks and so they aren't sought after, instead tolerated. 2) Deception doesn't compete with marauders for lack of the ability to survive and only similar damage output, yet not sustainable. Instead more often I see Darkness speced for DPS. Darkness speced as Tanks don't compete with Powertechs/Jugs either.. When I think of an "Assassin" I presume the class would have high damage but not sustainable.. can't say deception pulls that off when compared to the other DPS AC's. Conversely Darkness may not fit the initial definition of "Assassin", but I actually like the darkness visuals and concept of a ethereal force heavy sith. Would love to see our stealth mode fit the same whispy force visuals instead of the x-ray neon purple. My question would be : Are we saying that the DPS AC's that only have DPS spec options (Marauders and Snipers) SHOULD have higher DPS than any other classes or that DPS AC's simply have more options to play as DPS style? My impression is the later, not the former. Any AC who picks a DPS spec in their class should compete with the other AC's, same with Tanking and Healing.. Assassins at the moment seem weak in both of their available Spec options (if only a bit).
  18. *waves hand* "You will include Twi'lek hoods in the next update." In all seriousness. I'm running a Twi'lek assassin as my main and would love to see this implemented properly. As everyone else is pointing out, it's disappointing to play a Twi'lek and be the only race to miss out on this cool aesthetic. *Edit* Sleeves on the Lekku would be a neat compramise, Although I'd still miss a hood! I'm glad this thread is growing past 300, if it gets someones attention. I would like to see a response from BioWare.

  20. Thanks both, I did assume it was for crit missions, but wasn't having success - had checked to see which missions were suppose to crit the pearls, but wasn't having any luck. Looking into Mission Discoveries I find the below two mission discovery's - that should have better results yielding Krayt dragon pearls. I too intend to make some fancy purple hilts. http://swtor.wikia.com/wiki/Treasure_Hunting_missions .. no nobody else read this so I'm the only one on the market producing them...
  21. I'll try the unlockable missions see if that helps. Right now Khem is running the missions at affection 6500+ .. So I'm surprised he can't crit yet. I've done quite a few runs with no success. I've crit on grade 4 several times after running signifigantly fewer missions. Either way, I've not messed with the unlockable missions yet, so I'll try that!

  23. How did you acquire the Krayt Pearls?? I've been running missions like mad for grade 3 gems and it's not working. Torhead suggests running missions will turn over the pearls, I assume on a crit success. But I've still not acquired any after more than 10 missions run.
  24. I raised this concern in another post but didn't get much play.. Will social armor be really all that viable post 1.2? I agree we shouldn't be able to craft social sets, they're unique and have additional requirements, but if they don't have the augment slot they'll be much less desirable. Not to mention the fact they are Orange will be diminished once most everything else can be.. So why go social then? You'll be handicapped with no augment and will have to put more work than other sets just to earn it. All for appearance (which I get, as I like some of the social sets - hence my concern..) I see appearance as important to my toons, but I don't really relish the thought of using sub-standard gear just for appearances. Pre-1.2 at least the fact they were Orange was a plus.. now Orange will be the norm. Why not amend the social stats to automatically include the augment during the 1.2 patch now?   25. I was aware of most of the details in your post, but didn't find details of augment slots being implemented at a later update. This is good news, though I agree a mater of when is a bit of a problem. It wouldn't make much sense to me to have all the social sets floating out there when every other gear would potentially be better quality. It's like cutting your leg off for using elite gear. I know elite is too strong a word, but I think my point gets across. I was pretty certain orange social sets wouldn't be craftable, this makes sense to me. I just needed to hear that I can use the gear I have now post 1.2 down the road. I can live with sub par until if they do intend to allow augments down the road one day. Thanks for the info!
