  1. The game environment is not infecting players. Other infected players are. I don't feel that the vaccine is a cheap enough or convenient enough way around that. Neither is committing suicide. I just want to give that feedback to bioware, and support others who agree. I've never asked bio ware to stop the event. I've never asked them to not return the event. I only asked for an easier way to opt out next time. Players make requests and suggestions of bio ware all the time for this game. I'm having hard time understanding why there is such a reaction to this one.
  2. Thanks, Vendd. I'm trying to be reasonable to avoid giving posters ammunition against me. I made my point a while ago. Now I'm just trying to shoot down straw men. Discussions, ideas, and compromise are starting to come out, now. Discussion, not argument about issues is a good thing.
  3. Just a few things. This isn't my thread. I did post on customer service, but I only posted in this thread to support the actual OP. So myself, the OP, the posters here, and those who started the other threads "flooding" the boards are all real, not hypothetical. Second, if you're going to respond by quoting, stick to what I said in the actual quote. Third, if the mods really saw the multiple threads as a problem, they'd merge them. Finally, to reiterate the point I did make as quoted above, you're complaining about complaining. That just perpetuates your own problem.
  4. The poster before me referred to it a a fuss. I responded in kind. Frankly, I agree, it's just opinions. I still stand by the validity of mine.
  5. Some of us, respectfully, disagree. Is the fuss worth making a fuss over?
  6. I can also express dissatisfaction about a paid service to the service provider. That's all I'm trying to do. Bottom line, some players don't like the rakghoul event, feel that the workarounds currently on place are inadequate, and want to say so. That's done, and if I'm not careful, I'm going to cross the line into trolling. Some probably already think I have, and will say so in the next few posts. Generally, I do enjoy the game or I'd already be somewhere else. May the Force be with us all, Steven
  7. No, you can ignore me for free. That's all I'm asking for regarding the rakghoul event. Besides, if you ignore me, you won't see my response, giving me the last word in this little repartee.
  8. Once again, this is a lot of trouble and expense that we don't want to be bothered with in the first place. I've already accepted the event and am dealing with it, but I still get to say I don't like it.
  9. But that's the point. I don't have that option. Infected people corm to me. I'm not seeking them out. I don't like PVP. I don't do it. No problem. If the PVP Queue popped anyway, and I had to pay 2k to shut that down, I'd complain about that, too. The matter of degree is different, the scenario is not. I'm not happy with the event. Rationalizing it doesn't change that. I "got over it" minutes after it happened, but it still wanted to give feedback and did. In this case, I also wanted to show support for the OP, With whom I agree.
  10. For many players, 2000 credits IS a lot of money. and yes, I have to seek out a med droid to get it . I know they're common, but I still have to do it. The point is, the opinion of those who are displeased with the event is valid, irrespective of those who are enjoying it. We get to express that here, on the website of the company providing the service. We aren't wrong for saying so, and we aren't wrong for saying so here.
  11. It wasn't the only a week part that was derision, it was the get over it part.
  12. The vaccine isn't cutting it. It's an expense, and takes effort to be sought out. Players are affecting other players that's PVP to me. I applaud those who offered the vaccine for free. I've already mentioned this to customer service. But the OP, you are not alone. You have the right to speak your. Ind about it, and don't let yourself be shouted down. If it cost 2k per day per toon to opt in, would the supporters be as happy? Cheers, Steven
  13. I wish to express superlative displeasure with this event. I am not a fan of either the zombie or post apocalyptic genres, and don't appreciate them intruding on Star Wars, which I otherwise adore. A cursory review of the message boards will reveal that I am not the only one distressed by the event. Acknowledged that there is a vaccine available, but at a cost and effort to those who wish to "opt out". Acknowledged that the source is limited to a single planet, which can be avoided by those who would "opt out". This still disrupts those who are trying to follow through on class stories. Additionally, though it seems to be turned off on starter planets, there is still considerable spillover to other areas, especially the fleet stations. Some are truly enjoying the event, but enough do not to warrant tighter control. I'm not trying to request ending the event earlier, or any compensation for the trouble. I am, however a subscriber, and want to give feedback for the next time this happens. An easier opt out method is warranted, perhaps tied to the PVP flag, or immunity in any cantina and shopping zone, and especially fleet. Although I didn't resort to flaming, insults or profanity, I am most serious about this. If, next time, better controls are not implemented, I encourage any like minded subscribers to take a month off. Still, my the Force be with us all. Steven Thivierge
