  1. Hahahhahahahahah suckers, I got my Satele set about three months ago from someone on Bastion who thought the whole set was worth 500k, so he listed it on GTN for that price. I almost pissed myself with glee when I saw it In all seriousness though, I feel like this is just another BW moneymaking scheme. Put cool stuff up on direct sale so people pay give or take $50 for them. Honestly a shame.
  2. Exactly the point of these threads :D :D I love vibroswords too honestly. Lightsabers are satisfying, but cutting through your enemies with two deceptively harmless metal pipes? Pricesless
  3. Not sure when honestly, but hopefully it closes the Iokath storyline, dissolves the alliance, and gets us back to the good old empire vs republic war for the galaxy because that's what Star Wars is all about. I hope it releases soon though, because Iokath was about an hour of gameplay at best
  4. Hey everyone, Positivity thread pt 4! Bioware has designed some pretty freaking amazing sets of armor, and beautiful weapons. What ones are your favorite? Personally, I'm torn between Thexan's armor set (with red/black dye mod, because my toon's hair is red), and the Righteous Enforcers armor set paired with the Righteous Mystic's helmet (all with white/white dye mod.) As far as weapons go, I have always used the YV-26 starforged rifle, and the Vidicator's lightsaber. I love the design on both, and when they are collections unlocked I can give them to my level 10s, making them look amazing Cheers! -Catherine Skirata the Pure
  5. I'm glad they are fixing this to an extent. It'll be interesting to see how they find data on what was lost, because that is a LOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTTTTTT of data to look through for them to find it. Alsoooooo if you feel like compensating for lost game time with some 248 gear I wouldnt complain
  6. Huge Thank-you for not making excuses or being vague Keith. Family comes first, and we are all OK and understanding about that. As for the updates, I'm not thrilled about the gsf, but everything else seems good!
  7. Yall should move to Bastion, still got some people and guilds on it. Never crashes
  8. Correct, but BE CAREFUL! Always check to see if what you are buying is unlockable via legacy, before buying it. I made that mistake with the white/white dye mod, and eradicators helmet. Accidentally bought them, and then realized they weren't collections items.
  9. will they be giving people back the stuff they say they lost? Because I think I just lost fully augmented GEMINI gear In all seriousness, this is a really bad bug, that needs to be corrected. I'm glad Eric has seen it though!
  10. Personally, I like the difficulty of GSF for noobs. I came recently in Harby with my new gunship, and got shredded plenty of times. I've almost mastered it's components now, and consistently get top three or first place every match. It's the only mode that has been left hard, and not turned into a bolstered realm of softies. The whole gamemode is a flustercluck and massacre. People who play GSF are tough and dedicated. I love that. Honestly, my best advice is to not rush. Let the vets go first, shadow them, and get assists or kills after the enemies have been softened up. Don't go rushing in expecting to be a strong contributor to the battle, because as a noob that just isn't an option and that's perfectly alright. I'm not saying don't do your best, I'm just saying that you shouldn't throw yourself out there with an unmodded ship, expect to do well, and instead cost your team points. My second bit of advice is to listen to your ops leader, or an experienced GSF player. If someone in ops chat is giving orders/asking people to do certain things, then they likely know what they are talking about (i.e. what tactices work, and what doesn't). Stick with the team, stick to the plan, and adapt as necessary. When it comes to what you should mod first, it's honestly personal preference. I have always modded my weapons first (NOTE: invest in some burst cannons as your primary weapon, they work wonders) because the higher your damage output, the more kills you get, and the more requisition you get, and more requisition means more upgrades. It's an upward spiraling cycle. Anyway, I hoped I helped. Good luck, and I'll see you on the battlefield! -Catherine Skirata the Pure
  11. Hey guys, positivity thread part 3! For those of you who don't know, I post threads that focus on the good parts of the game, and what is our favorite! The title said it all: What is your favorite planet, and why? It can be for any reason, and I think this will be a particularly interesting topic. Personally, I have always LOVED Tython. It's beautiful, there is a lot of nostalgia, and it's just all around is a peaceful and serene place. Your guys's turn! Cheers, Catherine Skirata the Pure
  12. This post made me physically laugh out loud, and I'm sitting in a Starbucks right now XD Lowkey awkward, but I agree that Force Charge is extremely fun
  13. Welcome back! Another change to companions was the change to the affection and companion conversations. Affection has been changed to "influence." The companion conversations now are affected by your progression in your story, and no longer by your influence level. The only thing influence helps with is your companion's efficiency in combat (i.e. damage output, health, and healing.) Yes, you can change your comps role. Also, with the new comps in KOTFE and KOTET, you can't design their armor, only their weapons. Hope I could help!
  14. Honestly the gear drop rates are stupid, everyone knows. I lost hope in cxp crates long ago, and just open them as I get em. Right now I'm grinding GSF for components, and causally getting about one cxp crate every game (with double xp boost). If I add a cxp boost, then it goes up to about a crate and a half every game (12 minute games.) I get a crate every fifteen minutes (adding in load times) and I haven't gotten a piece of decent gear in about the last twenty crates. About to get my first piece of GEMINI gear from components though, which seems to be taking less time than waiting for crate drops (even though I have to win about 70 games of GSF to get each piece of gear).
  15. Odd, I've never seen or heard of this happening before. Honestly not sure what to tell you. It definitely sucks to get that far and then lose the story. Hope it gets fixed as soon as possible! Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
  16. Hey guys, I really wanted to try comparing gsf strategies, and learn from what you guys have experienced as good or bad strategies! For TDM I ask my team to make a nest in an upper asteroid or crevice in a hard to get place, with a wide range of sight. The scouts protect them while they nest, and then the scouts fly out and lure the opponents to the nests (unless the scouts take them out in one pass), where they instantly get incinerated as soon as they come into range. For Outposts, I usually take A and B, having scouts intercept enemy fighters while bombers and gunships nest up under the outposts. Once the nesting is done, the scouts employ the "drawing in" tactic, making short work of the enemy team. If the team tries to spread across three outposts, we become stretched too thin and the enemy can compromise our positions, thus staying at A and B. What tactics do you guys typically employ? I think it will be fascinating to see what other people do. Cheers, -Catherine Skirata
  17. Honestly I'm not sure how much revamping strike fighters need. If they are upgraded and used properly, they are beasts. I've always been a scout and gunship person myself, but I have fought pilots that are highly skilled in the strike fighters, and as a result very difficult to kill. Can't really think of anything they needs to bolster. Idk why I've always gravitated towards scout and gunships, I guess I just like two shotting/one shotting people, or decimating them with cluster missiles and burst cannons.
  18. Episode 2 of the positive thread series! For those of you who don't know, I will be posting threads about what people love about certain aspects of the game just to dilute the negativity of the forums. For this thread, the title says it all. What is your guys' favorite ability, and why? it can be because of it's power, periodic effects, humor, or just because it's plain awesome. My favorite ability used to be Death from Above, for the reasons of complete awesomeness, but it actually changed to backhand from SW. The sheer amount of sass involved with slapping someone in the face is just downright hilarious. What do you guys think? Cheers! - Catherine Skirata the Pure
  19. Hey guys! What is the best and fastest way to get cxp that you guys have found? I've found that with GSF I get about 1-2 crates per 12 minute match, depending on how well I do. I've also found that I get about five crates from running master mode Black Talon, soooooooo It's a tossup. What has been the most effective grinding system for you guys?
  20. Happy star wars day from ruination guilddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd
  21. Statement: I have yet to acquire this HK model 51 unit Exclamation: Rest assured, all I have left are the Foundry HM, DK, and Coruscant! Can't wait to join the rare club of HK holders. HK-55 can die in a hole.
  22. It's awesome that you enjoy the martial aspects of those characters! I myself am a black belt instructor in taekwondo, escrima, hapkido, and a few others. Given that, I have always enjoyed swtor because of force charge, backhand, dirty kick, sweeping slash, and of course the dual sabers. It's really interesting watching the characters fight, because as a stick fighting instructor I get to watch them do different combinations that are familiar to me. Glad you enjoy the class!
  23. This is just another thing to complain about tbh. I'll stick with my collections unlocked Vindicator lightsaber (500cc plus 400cc for unlock totaling two months of subscription income.) The devs are just out of their mind if they think we're gonna pay $45 for a virtual glowstick based off of the toddler named Kylo Ren. Pass, thanks. We already boycotted the 7200cc lightsaber, so why would we want this one? If we really wanted it, we would buy it on gtn from the people rich enough to buy it themselves (and for those of you who say gtn is overpriced, you just have to look for the idiots/blessings who sell stuff for dirt cheap i.e. the full Satele Shan outfit I got for about 500k creds.) Honestly cm prices are just ridiculous. This isn't how you bring players back. Sadly, I've gotten to the point where I see someone with a cool cm lightsaber and instead of saying "wow that's a cool blade" I just look at them and think "wow they really have no life do they..." Quite sad that it's come to that tbh. Anyone else there too?
  24. Agent story is definitely a runner up for me, but i was always an op. SOOOO MANY KNIVESSSSSS :D :D
  25. Hey guys, I think over the next month I will be doing more of these positive threads to dilute the negativity in the forums. As the title says, what is your favorite class and why? This doesn't have to be story based, it can be for any reason at all. I'm really interested to see what you guys think! For me personally, it's the SW. Specifically, immortal jugg. The class story was fun, and when I'm geared properly I'm practically unkillable (which is extremely fun.) The class just makes me feel like an all around ******, and I love surprising NPC's and group members when they see me make LS choices even though the character looks intimidating af. Overall an amazing class. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with! -Catherine Skirata
