  1. I've actually taken the time to read every response in this thread, thank you very much, and have responded to a mix of both. The fact that many people are experiencing these same issues though blows your theory about me "being wrong" out of the sky. For those of you who haven't experienced any of these things: hey, I'm jealous. Must be nice to be lucky. However, there's a sizable portion of us who have and the fact that Bioware is recognizing more than a few of them as known issues pretty much puts all of the "this game is perfect/there are no issues/it's all you" nonsense to rest. Besides, the satirical portion of this therapeutic little rant fully acknowledges my addiction to the game. After 55 levels of playing through all of these issues though, I absolutely have every right to be burned out with them. If you were experiencing them instead of living in this utopian fantasy world where it's the most flawless game ever made, you'd be well beyond irritated too.
  2. Aside from taking up to a week to reply or never replying, the issue I have with CS is the same issue that others have with the White Knights. CS will look at all of these various issues that I've just presented here and rather than recognizing some of these things as the glitches that they are, they'll try to put it off on my ability to play the game. One CS rep even said that if I was having that kind of difficulty attacking things (I'm talking about the key glitch where every once in awhile, I can't fight back or defend myself against a target and am forced to either stand there and die or run away and die), that I should consider using a group. lol Seriously? I'm going to group up for open world travel against crap that I've destroyed hundreds of times or that any noob with a pair of eyes could easily mow down as long as the game is working properly? Just because they don't experience these things themselves doesn't mean that they're not happening or that you're making it up. That was my issue with them as well as their complete disinterest in resolving an issue that was very similar to the one you described. You got lucky though. Them providing me with the items that I got shafted out of (in this case, credits) should have been a very simple resolution that didn't require back breaking labor on their part. Instead, they swept it under the rug and acted like I was making it up or that it never happened.
  3. At least I'm not the only one. The main reason for me posting this was to see how many people out there could relate to these things and whether or not they'd been addressed before. For me, all I care about is getting them resolved. Replacing my whole laptop for the sake of a game that can be f2p is just not something I'd ever be willing to even consider.
  4. I've had some of those but not all of them. We ran into a really fun glitch on CZ-198 HM the other day where mobs on the floor below us where shooting us through the floor and then in some cases were aggroed from the floor below, running up to our level. It sucked because we wiped when it happened but it was also hilarious to see them all running back down to the bottom level after we were killed. I'd love to see what the "It's Your Connection!/It's Your Computer!" crowd has to say about that one.
  5. I would agree but Tab doesn't work or any other hot key that involves targeting except on an extremely rare occasion. For me, I can force leap in to a target, destroy it, and then have to manually click on the add standing right next to me or I can't attack it. Every once in awhile I'll get lucky and the feature will actually work but until or unless it does with any semblance of regularity then, yeah, sorry to say but an auto target feature that works would actually be pretty cool. Otherwise it's pretty stupid to be standing right next to your next target and not even attack it unless you click on it manually or have to manually click on somebody that attacked you from behind in a war zone. Imagine playing an FPS game and before you can shoot back at something that's firing on you, you have to find it on the screen and click on it with a mouse. That's annoying IMO. Is it really THAT big of a deal as someone else emphasized? Yeah it is actually. Especially if you really pay attention to what I just said and to the analogy. Stupid crap in games takes away from the enjoyment of the game and if something is supposed to work a certain way, I expect it to.
  6. Right now I have kind of a medley of gear based more on aesthetics. However, I'm picking up 1 point towards the total of 2 that I need for my Master Strike bonus by having the PvP Partisan Challenger Leggings. I'm supposed to only have Underworld Weaponmaster and Underworld Challenger stuff so how are the Partisan Challenger leggings giving me credit towards my MS damage bonus? Also, if I equip with another Partisan Challenger piece will I then pick up the additional point to get my damage bonus? How about if I went with a Blackmarket Foestopper piece? Thanks in advance
  7. This game sucks in so many ways that I doubt I could list all of them, yet I still spend hours per day playing it. A few of my bigger complaints: - The worst lag of any game I've ever played - More glitches than any game I've ever played - The worst customer service of any game I've ever played - More DCs than any game I've ever played - Key moves that don't work unless you press them twice, often giving a partial, epileptic start to a move without actually executing it (rapes your dps for dps fans) - The great "no moves will work this time" glitch where all moves do the same as the above and you can literally get destroyed by a protocol droid because you can't fight or defend yourself until after you've reset back at the med center, costing you hundreds of thousands of credits throughout the course of the game that could be spent towards gear. - 30%+ miss rate on certain skills even with over 100% accuracy - No functional auto target feature - No regularly functional "Target Nearest Enemies" feature (most of the time I'll pick up a target off the screen and have to re-target multiple times just to attack the add that's standing right next to me) - Having to manually click on most of your targets - Camera zooming way in or way out every time you get off your ship, an elevator, or a taxi - Extremely impatient people and quitters in HM flash points. - Getting stuck with gear you couldn't possibly need on HM flash points (I'm a sentinel who regularly gets willpower gear - never anything with strength or the stats that would actually benefit my toon) And this list could go on but I'll stop here because I'm obviously a masochistic glutton for punishment who keeps spending countless hours, every single day, playing a game that I have a terrible love/hate relationship with and that is, in many ways, the worst game I've ever played. #endofrantandyesitfeltgoodtosayallthat
  8. I'm actually not referring to the fake GCD which happens every once in awhile but to the glitch in these two moves themselves that happens every time unless you press them twice. Blade Storm is in my lucky #7 slot since it crits all the time but when I hit 7, my toon coc.k.s back to deliver the blow, then doesn't actually do it and returns to the starting point of the movement unless I hit 7 a second time. You can see the precious time lost there and how it screws your dps as well as making for a jerky, non-fluid animation. Why it happens on these two moves and why it happens at all is what I'm trying to figure out or what I can do to get around it. Sorry to have to jumble up the word "c o c k s". I'm not meaning it in that context but it's being censored anyways.
  9. Since these moves were first available they've come with a glitch that screws up my total DPS. Unless ZS and BS are pressed twice (it's not my keys, switched them around to different ones and still the same issue) they fail to execute properly. Keying them the same as all other moves will result in my toon cocking back to throw on BS but not actually throwing and then returning to the starting point of the movement. Same thing with ZS. Occasionally this doesn't happen while Zen is in effect but overall, these are two of my bread-and-butter attacks but I lose a little over a second on each one just to get it to work. Customer service has no interest in resolving this glitch, if that's what it is, and I recently learned that a lot of other people have been experiencing it post-2.0. Does anybody have any recommendations to try and improve the speed and fluidity of these attacks?
  10. I'm sure this has been asked a million times and answered just as many, but what's the best gear for me to get as I close in on level 55? Thanks!
  11. Thanks for the replies. I always personally believed in "educated" improv over some type of pre-set rotation so it's nice to see you all confirm that. Some of the stuff I'd read on the Sentinel forum was getting me away from the habit of circumstantial reactions, counters, and attacks in order to force the issue of trying to land nothing but your highest damage combos even if your opponent was doing everything in their power to stop it from happening. This method makes a lot more sense to me so thanks for helping me break this bad habit that I was starting to get into. Good info from all.
  12. Hello all. I'm closing in on level 50 as a combat sentinel and really enjoy the PvP elements of this game -- except for being stuck in a war zone without a healer one time. That sucked. Anyways, what are some of your preferred rotations on both attack and defense? I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to describing my own so layman's terms are preferable if you don't mind. Thanks and happy gaming!
  13. This might seem far fetched but is it at all possible that I'm having these issues because I'm not playing on a PvP server? The other reason I ask is because I just posted this thread in the customer service area. I'm very frustrated right now so if that comes across in anything I've posted today, I hope it doesn't get taken the wrong way or offend anybody. The other factor contributing to my irritation is that I played most of this game f2p, and was fine with it, but have thus far received no commensurate benefit(s) from subscribing.
  14. Ok. So I was excited to finally test out Blade Rush as well as this rotation but...it doesn't work. The key stays dark and doesn't respond so the rotation ends up going like this: PS + BS > no attack > no attack [strike or zealous strike] PS + Dispatch > no attack > BS. Ataru Form is on so is there something else I'm supposed to be doing in order to get this to work? I'm a little frustrated right now, particularly after the sheer volume of glitches and lag I've been dealing with for several weeks.
  15. Turns out it was a glitch. What was happening is that the game was dumping my Ataru Form toggle into the open slot while removing Blade Rush from my Sentinel menu, thereby giving me two "ataru forms" but no Blade Rush. I was advised to reset my skill tree and that took care of the problem.
  16. The PvP build looks much better. The only one I'll contend, or question a little, is not allocating any points to stagger. Keeping in mind what you said about most players not being very good in PvP, *most* of my rotations in both PvP and PvE start with Force Leap. I force leap in, then with the 1 second immobilizing effect I start with Precision Slash. What's the explanation for not spending those points there? Also: the link doesn't reference anything about PvP rotations. Where can I find information about that? Thanks again. I appreciate it.
  17. Thanks for the link. I found myself disagreeing with some of the stuff in KBN's guide because I'm a big fan of pacify and force kick too but his recommended skill tree actually short changes your pacify boost and eliminates all of your other bonus immobilizing skills.
  18. In fact, that guy recommends that you disable all of your immobilizing effect skills. Makes zero sense.
  19. It's the top skill on the tree but it's not being given to me to be used in a slot. I'd ask if it activates automatically or something but according to your rotation, it doesn't. Is this a glitch then that I don't have it?
  20. KBN's Bible discourages building either one of those skills into your skill tree. Why that is I'm sure has something to do with the points being better allocated elsewhere, theoretically at least. I just reset mine to mirror his recommended build and will give it a try. EDIT: Most ranged players aren't that much different or more difficult to beat than the others but in the duel I described above, it was definitely annoying to have that player able to run away taking long distance pot shots on the fly and not be able to do anything about it. The force camo strategy works well though so thanks for that.
  21. Does Blade Rush have an alternate name for Jedi Sentinels or is it something that you don't learn until after level 50? At level 48, I don't have it.
  22. Cool, thanks. It's in the thread right below mine so I won't even have to look it up.
  23. Google searches yield many different conflicting results with most of them dated for 2012. Based on every convo I've had in chat and elsewhere, things are a lot different now in 2013. With that said, what seems to be the general consensus about the most fluid and powerful attack rotation (including at what points you use your defensive powers) and the best skill tree build for Combat sentinels? Thanks!
  24. Thanks for your reply gunte. This quoted part is the only thing I disagree with. Most mods and enhancements do go one way or the other: crit or surge. The battle enhancements are the only one that I know of off the top of my head that have both crit and surge, so I'm not sure how it's not relevant. I'm loving what I'm seeing from power increases so far, almost even more so than strength (is there DR for strength?), but based on what you said then theoretically a 15% critical rating is perfectly fine if your power is high? If so, that goes against everything I've read so if you can clarify that part I'd appreciate it. Also... So crit and surge are both irrelevant and it doesn't matter if your critical strikes occur more frequently or more powerfully?
